냉각채널의 각도와 직경 변화에 따른 채널 내 압력 손실에 관한 수치적 연구 (Numerical Study on the Pressure Loss for Various Angles and Diameters of Cooling Channel)

  • 냉각채널에서의 압력 손실을 수치적으로 연구하기 위하여 채널의 축 방향에 대한 각도, 채널 내부의 유체의 유속, 채널의 직경을 변화시키며 수치해석을 진행하였다. 채널의 축 방향에 대한 각도 변화에 따라서 압력 손실은 큰 변화가 없었다. 하지만 일반적으로 알려진 대로 채널의 직경이 커지면 압력손실이 감소하고, 유체의 유속이 느려지면 압력손실이 감소하는 경향은 두드러지게 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 무차원화 하여 정량화하였고, 기존 채널내부의 압력손실에 대한 경험식과 비교하여 기존 경험식의 타당성을 확인하였다. 본 연구에서 획득한 정보는 향후 냉각채널을 설계할 때 압력손실을 고려함에 있어 도움이 될 것으로 판단된다.

  • An experimental study on the heat transfer and friction characteristics of a fully developed turbulent air flow in a square channel with $45^{\circ}$ inclined ribs on one, two, and four walls is reported. Tests were performed for Reynolds number ranging from 7,600 to 24,900. The pitch-to-rib height ratio, p/e, was kept at 8 and rib height-to-channel hydraulic diameter ratio, $e/D_h$, was kept at 0.0667. The heat transfer coefficient and friction factor values were enhanced with the increase in the number of ribbed walls. Results of this investigation could be used in various applications of internal channel turbulent flows involving different number of roughened walls.

  • The present study investigates the effects of bleed flow on heat/mass transfer and pressure drop in a rotating channel with transverse rib turbulators. The hydraulic diameter ($D_h$) of the square channel is 40.0 mm. The bleed holes are located between the rib turburators on leading surface and the hole diameter (d) is 4.5 mm. The square rib turbulators are installed on both leading and trailing surfaces. The rib-to-rib pitch is 10.0 times of the rib height (e) and the rib height-to-hydraulic diameter ratio ($e/D_h$) is 0.055. The tests were conducted at various rotation numbers (0, 0.2, 0.4), while the Reynolds number and the rate of bleed flow to main flow were fixed at 10,000 and 10%, respectively. The results suggest that the heat/mass transfer characteristics in the internal cooling passage are influenced by rib turbulators, bleed flow and the Cariolis force induced by rotation. For the rotating ribbed passage with bleed flow, the heat/mass transfer on the leading surface is hardly affected by bleed flow, but that on the trailing surface decreases due to the diminution of main flow. The results also show that the friction factor decreases with the bleed flow.

마이크로 채널 관에서의 응축 열전달 성능에 관한 연구 (A study on condensation heat transfer performance in microchannel tube)

  • This study conducted a research as to condensation heat transfer by using three types of flat micro multi-channel tubes with different processing of micro-fin and number of channels inside the pipes and different sizes of appearances. In addition, identical studies were conducted by using smoothing circular tubes with 5mm external diameter to study heat transfer coefficient. The condensation heat transfer coefficient showed an increase as the vapor quality and mass flux increased. However, each tube shows little differences compared to 400kg/m2s or identical in case the mass flux are 200kg/m2s and 100kg/m2s. The major reason for these factors is increase-decrease of heat transfer area that the flux type of refrigerant is exposed to the coolant's vapor with the effect of channel aspect ratio or micro-fin. In addition, the heat transfer coefficient was unrelated to the heat flux, and shows a rise as the saturation temperature gets lower, an effect that occurs from enhanced density. The physical factor of heat transfer coefficient increased as the channel's aspect ratio decreased. Additionally, the micro pin at the multi-channel type tube is decided as a disadvantageous factor to condensation heat enhancement factor. That is, due to the effect of aspect ratio or micro-fin, the increase-decrease of heat transfer area that the flux type of a refrigerant is exposed to the vapor is an important factor.

  • 터빈 블레이드의 내부냉각 설계 강화를 위해 설치된 경사요철과 가이드 베인에 대한 연구를 진행하였다. 채널의 입구로 들어오는 공기와 요철이 만나는 각도를 기준으로, 서로 상반된 두 가지 요철배열을 전연면과 후연면에 평행하게 배치하였다. 채널의 종횡비(AR)는 5:1이고, 요철의 각도는 $60^{\circ}$, 요철의 높이와 요철간 간격 비($e/D_h$)는 0.075이다. 레이놀즈 수는 10,000으로 고정하였다. 요철배열에 따른 2차 유동과 딘 와류의 상호작용이 곡관부와 전체 채널의 열전달 결과와 유동특성에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 확인할 수 있었다. 결론적으로 첫 번째 유로의 요철배열이 팁 면의 열전달 분포에 지배적인 요인이며, 곡관부에서 유동의 분포에도 영향을 미쳤다. 또한 U자 형상 가이드 베인을 사용하였을 때 모든 요철에서 팁 면의 열전달 값이 상승하였으며, 특히 공기와 요철의 충돌각도가 양의각도일 때 가장 높은 냉각성능계수를 보였다.

닻 운용 시뮬레이션에 의한 선체운동 제어에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Control of Ship Maneuvering by the Simulation of Anchor Dredging)

  • Ship operators use anchor dredging for the collision avoidance or safety of ship handling in a harbour or narrow channel. This paper clarifies the technique of the anchor dredging known as a common sense for. the seafarers A mathematical model at low speed range is established for the estimation of ship motion under the assumed environment, simulate the advance speed , and turning ability under the anchor dredging or not. The results shows good agreement with the conventional seamanship and their experiences as follows. Ahead speed used the anchor dredging is slower(speed reduction ratio:40%) than the normal ahead speed and the stopping distance is shorter (distance reduction ratio:40%)than the normal ahead distance without the anchor dredging.. Turning speed used anchor dredging is slower(speed reduction ratio:72%)than the normal ahead speed and the tactical diameter is shorter(distance reduction ratio:24%)than the diameter by the normal turning without the anchor dredging.

The CFX solver used for the computation. The rough walls have a $45^0$ inclined square rib. Uniform heat flux is maintained on whole inner heat transfer channel area. The CFX(version 5.7) software package is used for the computation. The ribbed walls have a $45^{\circ}$ inclined square rib. Uniform heat flux is maintained on whole inner heat transfer channel area. The numerical results coincide with experimental data that obtained for $7,600{\le}Re{\le}24.900$, the pitch-to-rib height ratio (p/e) of 8.0. and the rib height-to-channel hydraulic diameter ratio ($e/D_h$) of 0.0667. The results show that values of local heat transfer coefficient and friction factor in the channel with two-sided ribbed wall are higher than those in the channel with one-sided ribbed walls.

사각채널 내 주기적으로 배열된 반원 리브 영향의 유동해석 (Analysis of the turbulent flow on the periodically arranged semi-circular ribs in a rectangular channel)

  • The flow characteristics on the periodically arranged semi-circular ribs in a rectangular channel for turbulent flow have been investigated numerically. The aspect ratio of the rectangular channel was AR=5, the rib height to hydraulic diameter ratio was 0.07 and rib height to channel height ratio was e/H=0.117. The v2-f turbulence model and SST k-${\omega}$ turbulence model were used to find the flow characteristics of near the wall which are suited for realistic phenomena. The numerical analysis results show turbulent flow characteristics and pressure drop at the near the wall as observed experimentally. The results predict that turbulent kinetic energy(k) is closely relative to the diffusion of recirculation flow, and v2-f turbulence model simulation results have a good agreement with experimental.
