Potency of Several Structurally Different Acetylcholinesterase Reactivators to Reactivate House Fly and Bovine Acetylcholinesterases Inhibited by Paraoxon and DFP

  • Eight structurally different acetylcholinesterase reactivators derived from currently commercially available oximes were tested for their potency to reactivate acetylcholinesterase inhibited by pesticide paraoxon (P) and DFP (D). Housefly AChE (F) and bovine red blood cell AChE (B) were used as the source of the cholinesterases. Ellman's method was taken to examine cholinesterases activity. The results show that four AChE reactivators are potent AChE reactivators, able to reach reactivation potency of more than 30% in all cases - PF, PB, DF and DB. Their reactivation potency was comparable with that of pralidoxime and even higher compared with that of HI-6, standard AChE reactivators currently available on the market.

  • Recently many researchers have been studying the development of alternative energy due to serious environmental pollution and drying up fossil energy. Among various alternative fuels, authors investigated the physical and combustion characteristics of the bio diesel fuel(BDF) which was made from the wasted vegetable oil. In this study, PXI and LabVIEW, which is a novel measuring instrument and online analysis, was used to investigate the combustion characteristics of BDF in a DI diesel engine.

Arthrobacter ureafaciens KCTC 3387이 생산하는 Inulase II의 정제 및 특성 (Purification and Properties of Inulase II from Arthrobacter ureafaciens KCTC 3387)

  • Inulin fructotransferase(depolymerizing)(EC 2.4.1.93)(inulaseII) which converts inulin into di-D-fructofuranose-1,2':2,3'-dianhydride (DFAIII) was purified from Arthrobacter ureafaciens KCTC 3387 using column chromatography on DEAE-Toyopearl 650M and gel filtration of Sephadex G-200. The enzyme was purified 7-fold with a yield of 11% from a culture supernatant. The purified enzyme gave a single band on polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis, and the molecular weight of the enzyme was estimated to be 45,000 by SDS-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. The optimum pH and temperature for the enzyme reaction were pH6.5~7.0 and $55{\circ}C$, respectively. The enzyme was stable within a pH range of 5.0 to 10.6 and up to $60^{\circ}C$. The Km of this enzyme for DFAIII production was 11.9mM. The enzyme was inactivated by $Hg^{2+}$ and after exhaustive digestion of inulin by this enzyme, 1-kestose and nystose were produced in addition of DFAIII.

초음파의 감쇠를 이용한 복합재료의 기공함량 평가 (Void Contents Evaluation of Composite Laminates by Ultrasonic Attenuation Measurements)

  • The void content of carbon fiber reinforced composite laminates was determined by the ultrasonic nondestructive technique. The ultrasonic immersion, through-transmission method developed stresses the utilization of spectral analysis and frequency dependence of the attenuation due to porosity. The measured attenuation shows approximately linear behavior over the frequency range investigated. The linear relationship between the void content and the attenuation slop (d $\alpha$/df) is found to hold, but the constant of proportionality is quite different for samples with different pore morphology. The void volume fraction determined by the attenuation slope agreed very well with that obtained by the acid digestion analysis.

  • Study on the unimolecular reaction for $CH_2FO$ and $CD_2FO$ is carried out. The structures, energy barriers and zero point energy of the three channels in the title unimolecular reactions are computed with the MP2/6-311++G(3df, 3pd) method. RRKM theory is used to calculate the rate constants of canonical case at temperature range of 500-5000 K and microcanonical system at total energy of 19.05-71.68 kcal/mol. The results indicate that the anharmonic effect and isotope effect are very small for the three channels, and the anharmonic rate constants, around $10^9-10^{11}s^{-1}$, are close to the experimental prediction reasonably.

  • A sediments are Integral called as gravel, sand, clay, mineral materials which are settling in bottom layer of reservoir, stream, and oceans from land. In practical problems relations of sediments are flood by decreed of flow capacity and down of water quality. Dredged sediments are composed with constructed material and variety of pollutant compounds. Therefore, it is very much of cost effects in nationally, if development for use of constructed material separated only constructed material within sediments. And it will be continue to the dredge operation of stream sediment for retrofit of water environment and sustainable's after the years. The following results could be obtained : In case of high concentration sediments, sample for design of CDF was shown property of flocculent settling. Assuming that average inflow rate is 1, 000㎥/hr, mean residence time( $T_{d}$), average ponding depth( $H_{pd}$ ), and design surface area for flocculent settling( $A_{df}$ ) were 5 hr, 0.6m, and 15, 750 $m^2$ respectivelyrespectivelyy

  • Let $f=(f_n)$ be a nonnegative submartingale such that ${\parallel}f{\parallel}{\infty}{\leq}1\;and\;g=(g_n)$ be a martingale, adapted to the same filtration, satisfying $${\mid}d_{gn}{\mid}{\leq}{\mid}df_n{\mid},\;n=0,\;1,\;2,\;....$$ The paper contains the proof of the sharp inequality $$\limits^{sup}_ n\;\mathbb{E}{\Phi}({\mid}g_n{\mid}){\leq}{\Phi}(1)$$ for a class of convex increasing functions ${\Phi}\;on\;[0,\;{\infty}]$, satisfying certain growth condition. As an application, we show a continuous-time version for stochastic integrals and a related estimate for smooth functions on Euclidean domain.

  • The various type Ag sheathed Bi-2223 tapes have been were fabricated by Powder-in-tube(PIT) process. The critical current density could be improved with the value of $23,000\;A/cm^2$(77 K, zero field) in the single concentric Bi-2223 tape. The bending property dependence of $I_c$ was improved in the double concentric Bi-2223 tape compared with single filamentary and single concentric one.

Theoretical Study of Phosphoryl Transfer Reactions

  • The energetics and transition state (TS) structures of the reactions of six substrates, $R_1R_2P$(=O or S)Cl-type where $R_1=R_2$=Me and/or MeO, with ammonia in acetonitrile are theoretically investigated at the level of CPCM-MP2/6-31+G(d) and CPCM-MP2/6-311+G(3df,2p). The degrees of distortion of TS from the ideal trigonal bipyramidal pentacoordinate, ${\Delta}{{\delta}}_{{\neq}b}$ for a backside and ${\Delta}{{\delta}}_{{\neq}f}$ for a frontside attack, are calculated. The results of calculation suggest that the feasibility of a frontside attack for P=S is greater than that for P=O system when the two ligands, $R_1$ and $R_2$, becomes larger. The experimental and calculated results of anilinolyses of $R_1R_2P$(=O or S)Cl-type show the consistent tendencies.

오픈 표준 기반 3차원 지하시설물 객체정보의 웹서비스에 관한 연구 (Study on a Web Services for the 3D Information about a Feature of Underground Facilities on Open Standards)

  • OGC(Open Geospatial Consortium) SWE(Senser Web Enablement)는 오픈 표준 기반 서비스로써 다중 센서의 정보를 취합하여 3차원 가시화 및 분석, 편집에 활용되는 웹시스템의 표준이다. 본 연구에서는 OGC SWE의 WFS(Web Feather Service)와 유사한 오픈 표준 기반 객체정보 웹서비스 시스템을 고안하고, 실제 지하시설물을 대상으로 OGC의 City-GML을 국내 표준인 3DF-GML으로 해체하여 웹서비스 가능성을 타진하였다. 본 연구를 통해 도출된 웹서비스는 향후 오픈 표준 기반 3차원 GIS 시스템 구축에 본보기가 될 것으로 기대된다.
