Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the factors affecting of health screening among persons with disabilities. Method: The study examines the factors affecting of health screening using over 20 years of age who participated in the 2017 National survey of the disabled data. Subjects were 6,332 person with disabilities over 20 years of age. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, X2-test, multiple logistic regression with the SPSS win 21.0 program. Results: Health screening among persons with disabilities is differentiated with education level, marital status, Subjective House economic status, Health insurance, Economic activity, Type of disability, Grade of disability, Stress recognition, Depressive symptom, Suicidal thinking, Suicidal attempt, and grade of disability. The significant predictors of the health screening were age, Subjective House economic status, Economic activity, and Grade of disability. Conclusion: We should consider age, disability level, and economic level when developing a screening program for people with disabilities. Especially, the development and promotion of the health screening program for persons with disabilities and related education are required.

This article examines the accessibility and usability of library websites to students with visual and physical disabilities in public universities in Kenya. The study used survey research design and adopted a mixed methods approach. Data were gathered using survey questionnaire, focus group discussions, structured interviews, and observation. The study population consisted of six public universities that had a longstanding tradition of enrolling students with disabilities. Census was used to obtain a study sample comprising of students with visual disabilities (86), students with physical disabilities (91), University Librarians (6), Personnel from Disability Mainstreaming departments (6), Systems Librarians (6) and Library Personnel who provided information services to students with disabilities (133). The Social Model of Disability and IFLA Access to Libraries for Persons with Disabilities checklist were used as conceptual and theoretical framework in the study. Study results revealed that all the libraries had library websites. However, the websites did not have disability services page or information specific to individuals with disabilities. Also a section of students with disabilities lacked awareness of the existence of library websites and e-resources available through them. Additionally, the website design posed various access challenges. The study concluded that people with disabilities were excluded from access and use of library websites in public universities. The authors recommended that library websites must contain disability services page containing information specific to persons with disabilities. Moreover, libraries should evaluate their websites to ensure compliance with W3C requirements for web content accessibility. Additionally, libraries should develop disability policy to provide guidance on provision of information services to persons with disabilities.

The purpose of standards and guidelines of library service for people with disability is to provide libraries, governments and other stakeholders with a framework for developing library services for people with disability. This Paper is to Identify the constituents of standards and guidelines of library service for people with disability. These constituents are developed by analysis and investigation of foreign standards and are based on many people's advice such as members of the advisory committee. Extracted constituents of standards and guidelines of library service for people with disability are as follows: physical accessibility to library building and facilities, construction of alternative formats, access to services and programs. assistance engineering devices, web accessibility and universal design, training and staff development, cooperation and networking etc. Finally, we clarified main contents of each element to be included in standard.

This study the awareness and the demands of the parents on the communication level for social participation of the youth with developmental disability were identified and investigated the relation on client's age, detection time of the condition, disability grades, handicapped types, speech therapy period. For the non-parametric test, Man-Whitney U test, and Kruskal-Wallis test were performed and for post-hoc test, Scheffe test was performed. The results of this study was that the significant difference was found in the awareness and the demand of the communication level of the youth with developmental disability according to the age of children, time of discovery, disability grade, type of disability and speech therapy period. In conclusion, the speech therapy for the youth with developmental disability should be made in the dimension of communication for the purpose of social participation. The follow-up research to emphasize the social support and the institutional backup will be required.

This paper investigates how social trust and disability identity influence subjective health, focusing on the moderating effect of social-economic status of people with disabilities. We used surveys used for the development of the social exclusion scale of people with disabilities. As a result, social trust and disability identity influence subjective health. Namely, those who have more social trust and high disability identity experience subjective good health than other people with disabilities do. Second, the relationship between disability identity and subjective health was moderated by social-economic status of people with disabilities. Namely, the relationship between disability identity and subjective health is bigger as the level of social-economic status is higher. However, the relationship between social trust and self-rated health was not moderated by social-economic status of people with disabilities. Based on these findings, we suggest policy and practice ways to promote the subjective health status of people with disabilities.

There has been growing attention on the well-being of people with disabilities. The purpose of this study was twofold: (1) to investigate the associations between individuals' socio-demographic and psychological characteristics and clothing expenditure, and (2) to examine the moderated mediation effect of self-efficacy and acceptance of disability on the association between dependency on others and happiness among people with visual impairment. This study was based on secondary analysis of data from the second wave of the 6th Panel Survey of Employment for the Disabled collected by the Employment Development Institute. The results of this study showed that average monthly expenditure on clothing was positively associated with self-efficacy, happiness, and acceptance of disability, while being negatively associated with dependency on others. The results also confirmed that self-efficacy mediated the association between dependency on others and happiness. A conditional direct effect of dependency on others on happiness was found, in which negative associations were significant among people with visual impairment who had low and mean levels of acceptance of disability (but not high levels). In addition, there was a significant conditional indirect effect, in which the indirect and negative effect of dependency on others on happiness via self-efficacy was significant for those with low and average levels of acceptance of disability. These findings support the importance of enhancing the independence and acceptance of disability among people with visual impairment, which ultimately contributes to their happiness.

As society becomes more complex and advanced, the risk of accidents is inevitably increased, and this is an opportunity to increase the occurrence of not only congenital disabilities but also acquired disabilities. In this situation, the use of rehabilitation robots, a complex of advanced technologies, is expected to increase steadily in the future. So the authors would take a look the technological trends and future development prospects of domestic and foreign rehabilitation robots. Until now, disability assistive robot technology has been mainly developed in the field of supporting disability with walking disabilities or work limitations rather than cognitive disabilities. However, another issue of population aging is that cognitive impairment has the potential to increase, so development of a disability assistance robot that secures user safety must be actively promoted. It is thought that empirical results should be derived and converged

Premolars show the greatest variation in development and eruption. The present case report identified characteristics of eruption of maxillary premolars with delayed development. Multiple maxillary premolars with delayed development were found to have a palatal ectopic eruption pattern, which was self-corrected through eruption guidance by extraction of preceding primary teeth at the stage of root development when eruption force was maximal. In addition, delayed eruption due to delayed development was substantially improved by eruption guidance. Early erupted premolars with less than 1/3 of root development were induced to have normal root development using stabilizing appliance. The maxillary premolars with delayed development reported in the present study showed no complications such as impaction, space loss by delayed eruption, or insufficient root development.

The purpose of this study was to investigate early childhood special education teachers' experience, difficulties and need for effective disability understanding education in inclusive education field. The researcher interviewed 3 different early childhood special education teacher. Each participant was individually interviewed 2-3 times with deliberated questions for collecting data. After the interview was analyzed, the contents were categorized into three major themes and twelve sub themes. The three major themes were (1) early childhood special education teachers' difficulties in inclusive education field. (2) experience in the disability understanding education (3) need for proper disability understanding education. First, the teachers were awareness of the difficulties at the inclusive education field due to ambiguity in the role and location, the extension of the expertise, and the misaligned system. Second, teachers stated that the barriers to disability understanding education include creating prejudice, varied according to teachers ' abilities, poor perception of appropriate methods, and low concerns of adults and young children. Third, the results showed that development of the teaching manual, improvement of the administrative system, change in perception of disability understanding education, and disability understanding education based on the experiences of young children were necessary for effective disability understanding education. Based on these results, several specific implications for effective disability understanding education were suggested.

Pain is one of the most common causes of disability and work loss. However, patients with chronic pain have not been regarded as impaired persons in the Republic of Korea because of a lack of objective findings in those patients and difficulties in validating their genuine suffering and quantitative evaluation of pain. Here, the difficulties in the evaluation of impairment in chronic pain patients are discussed. In addition, guidelines for rating impairment in chronic pain patients, which are under development by the Korean Academy of Medical Sciences, are introduced.
