감시를 위한 저가격의 DATA LOGGER 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Development of Low Cost Supervisory Data Logger System)

  • In this paper, we proposed digitalized low cost data logger system. In the past, data logger system which use analog method had many problems, inconvenience of measurement, unsatisfied accuracy, and had difficulty in storing data. Proposed system overcome these problems by using one-chip microcontroller which detects abnormal satus and saves it in RAM card. Saved data are transmitted to personal computer by serial communication port and by parallel interface card. Field experiment results validate the performances of the proposed system.

소형전기자동차 견인용 직류전동기의 고효율 구동시스템 개발 (Development of High-Efficiency Drive System of DC Motors for Tracking Small-Size Electric Vehicles)

  • This paper develops the high-efficiency drive system of the small-size electric vehicles (EVs) driven by the brushed dc motors. A power circuit for driving the dc motor is designed with the H-bridge circuit and buck converter by considering both the efficiency and cost. In order to change smoothly the rotating direction of dc motor driven by the proposed power circuit, an operating sequence for both the field current and the armature voltage according to an accelerator pedal angle is suggested. Through the simulation studies and experimental results with the low-cost 8-bit AVR, the performances of the proposed methods are verified.

  • This paper presents a simulation model to analyze effects of electrical faults for the Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor(PMSM) drive system. The major fault modes of system are investigated and an intuitive system model is developed using MATLAB/Simulink. The developed model provides useful environments to inject and remove the various faults. Simulation results show the dynamic performances of system during the transient state from normal to fault, and those will be a great help to make a system more reliable.

  • Currently many sensors and processing data in a robot based on USN environments need to real-time features. In this paper, we examine recent research trends on real-time operating systems, especially on real-time embedded Linux, RTAI and Xenomai, for intelligent robots. Xenomai is a real-time development framework and have special feature supporting RTAI, VxWorks, pSOS+ etc. through the "skin". This research gives a guide to researcher in using real-time embedded Linux in the sense of architecture, supporting real-time mechanisms, kinds of real-time device driver, performances.

발전소 설비 운영상태 지능감시 시스템 개발 (Development of an Intelligent Power Plant Operating State Monitoring System)

  • For safe and stable operations of power plants, it is essential to monitor closely crucial measurement values related to power plant trips. In this paper, an intelligent power plant operating state monitoring technique enabling the operating crew member to monitor conveniently the status of the important measurement values and to perceive almost instantly the significance of the implications of those measurement values is developed. The proposed technique is called a "POST(Plant Operating State Tracking) Chart" technique and provides the foundations in developing an intelligent and integrated power plant operating state monitoring support system called the "P-OASIS"(Plant Operation Assessment and Support Intelligent System). The P-OASIS is applied to a thermal power plant of 500[MW] capacity and exhibited impressive performances.

  • This paper reviews the optical link technologies which have been developed for gigabit-per-second wavelength-division-multiplexing passive optical networks (WDM-PONs). Similarly to the 100Mb/s WDM-PON systems which have been deployed for trial services by KT, the most important requirement for 1Gb/s WDM-PON is wavelength independence (colorless feature) of its ONU/ONTs, which makes possible convenient operation and cost-effective maintenance with minimum inventory cost. Among various methods to implement such colorless feature, four promising candidates for gigabit WDM-PON are analyzed with their own development issues and their expected performances are compared.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a fashion show model as a local festival program by designing the costumes of Chosun dynasty from later 16th century to early 17th century and planning a fashion show. The designed costumes are based on the life of the representative poetess, Maechang Lee, from Buan-gun, Jeollabukdo. The planning of the fashion show consists of seven stages, that is, finding a theme, composing the story, designing costumes, choosing music, planning intermission events, producing visuals and booklet, and directing model performances. This paper focuses mainly on finding a theme, composing the story, and designing costumes.

지면 클러터 환경에서 금속표적감지를 위한 W-대역 FMCW 레이더의 설계 및 제작 (Design and Fabrication of a W-band FMCW Radar for the Metal Target Detection Under the Ground Clutter Environment)

  • In this paper, we describe the design, fabrication, and test results of a W-band FMCW radar for the metal target detection under the ground clutter environment. In order to detect metal targets on the ground, we used a single cassegrain antenna with the beamwidth of $1.45^{\circ}$ which forms pencil-beam footprint on the ground. A log envelope detector was applied to improve radar performance in the severe ground clutter known as Weibull and log normal clutter. The designed FMCW radar can acquire altitude information from the ground clutter with $\sigma_0=-23dB$ at the height of 160m. The fabricated W-band FMCW radar transmits 11 dBm power and the dynamic range of the receiver is from -106dBm to -30dBm. The performances of the fabricated sensors were tested out in the fields and detected a car target of 200m apart on the grass.

  • In this paper, we propose an active 90$^{\circ}$ phase divider for application to MMIC. Because of their very large size, conventional passive 90$^{\circ}$ dividers can't be integrated on MMIC. Therefore, highly miniaturized 90$^{\circ}$ dividers are required for a development of highly integrated MMIC. For this reason, active 90$^{\circ}$ divider is indispensable because active phase divider is much smaller than conventional passive dividers, and it can be integrated on MMIC. In this work, we developed active 90$^{\circ}$ divider with emitter inductor, and it was employed for the operation of the balanced mixer in order to verify the performance of the active 90$^{\circ}$ divider. According to the results, it was found that the active 90$^{\circ}$ divider exhibited good RF performances comparable to conventional passive power dividers.

  • In this study an experimental research has been conducted to reduce NOx and smoke emission from diesel engine exhaust gas simultaneously by application of corona discharge type electrostatic precipitator(ESP). The ESP was installed between exhaust gas silencer and outlet terminal of exhaust gas system. The operating conditions as input parameters taken in this experiment were corona power input, gas velocity and equivalence ratio of gas. It was found that the corona discharge type ESP has notable effect on reducing smoke in exhaust gas but appeared to bring slight effect on reducing NOx.
