잡음영상에서 로버스트 순위-순서 검정을 이용한 효과적인 에지검출 (Efficient Edge Detection in Noisy Images using Robust Rank-Order Test)

  • 에지검출은 컴퓨터비전과 영상처리 시스템에서 널리 사용되는 단계이다. 본 논문에서는 잡음영상에서 효율적인 에지검출을 위해 이표본 위치 문제에서 월콕슨 검정의 대안인 로버스트 순위-순서 검정에 기초한 새로운 검출법을 제안하였다. 제안된 방법은 $\delta$-에지모형하에서 $5\times5$ 윈도우의 부분 픽셀만으로 구성된 근방영역 간에 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있는지를 조사하였다. 제안된 에지 검출법의 성능을 평가하기 위해 실제영상과 인조영상을 가지고 영상실험을 통하여 얻은 에지맵과 객관적인 척도하에서 양적으로 비교 분석하였다.

불꽃화재감지기의 시험기준 개선에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Improvement for Sensitivity Test of Flame Detectors)

  • 불꽃감지기는 열, 연기식 감지기보다 화재검출이 빠르고 높은 층고에서도 효과를 발휘할 수 있어 가격이 고가임에도 많이 사용되고 있다. 불꽃감지기의 동작신뢰성 향상을 위해 성능시험, 감도시험, 옥내 외구분, 제품사후관리나 관리감독에 대하여 외국 기준과 비교하였다. 그 결과 유럽과 미주지역에는 부작동시험, 옥내 외구분이 없고 감도조정 기준이 있다. 성능시험중 작동관계는 제품의 신뢰성이나 내구성에 중심을 두고, 부작동시험은 현장의 환경에 맞게 감도를 조정할 수 할 수 있게 한다. 또한 제품사후관리 조항 추가 및 제품에 대한 품질관리 책임과 인증기관의 관리시스템, 특수감지기의 제도권 도입, 상호 관련기구들의 규정 마련이 필요하다.

국내 탐지견의 환경 및 위생 관리 현황 조사 (The Survey for Environmental Management of Korea Detector Dog)

  • This research was conducted to grasp the present condition of environmental management relating to Korea detector dogs that performed their duties such as detection and lifesaving. We directly conducted a survey throughout visit to five government agencies. In environmental management case, average length and width of kennels were 1.78 m and 3.50 m, respectively. Types of floor were searched as coating cement, tile, ucrete and concrete. Most of government agencies ventilated kennels using ventilation fan systems with natural ventilation. But there were differences between government agencies in frequencies of the sanitary management items. On the other side, major diseases of the German shepherd breed as a major detector dog were in order of arthritis, measles, earache, and dermatosis. And their daily training time was average 4 hours. Finally, it is thought that these results could be used as a basic data of standard breeding management manual of Korea detector dog.

고효율 HPGe 검출기의 동시합성효과 보정 연구 (Study on the cascade summing correction for high efficiency HPGe detector)

  • 단일 핵종의 붕괴시 방출된 두 감마선이 함께 검출기에 흡수될 때 cascade summing이 일어난다. 이 효과는 일부 핵종에서 10% 이상의 계통적 오차를 야기한다. 이들 동시합성 효과를 추산하기 위해 검출기 주위에서 측정한 피크-토탈 비를 사용하여 그 효과를 직접 계산하였다. 검출기 주번에서 주어진 에너지에 대한 피크-토탈 비는 일정하지 않을 수 있으며, 따라서 측정된 값의 평균을 사용하여야 한다 산란 물체에 의한 피크-토달 비의 영향에 대한 결과도 함께 포함되어 있다.

레일리 페이딩 채널에서 부분 SSPIC 다중사용자 검파기법을 적용한 DS-CDMA 시스템의 성능분석 (Performance Analysis of a DS-CDMA System with Partial SSPIC Multiuser Detection Schemes in Rayleigh Fading Channel)

  • 본 논문에서는 비동기 Rayleigh 페이딩 채널에서 MUD 과정에서 발생하는 시간 지연을 최소화 하면서 서비스 별로 다르게 요구되는 QoS 요구를 충족시킬수 이는 부분 SSPIC I. II형 다중 사용자 검파 기법을 제안하고 성능을 분석하였다. 결과에 의하면 제안한 부분 SSPIC I, II형 기법 모두 SIC 단에서 발생되는 시간 지연을 효과적으로 단축할 수 있으며, 부분SSPIC I형 기법은 성능 및 용량 면에서 기존 SICPIC 기법보다 향상되었고, 부분 SSPIC II형 기법은 유사한 성능을 나타내었다. 따라서, 본 논문에서 제안한 부분 SSPIC I, II형 다중 사용자 검파 기법은 기존SICPIC 다중 사용자 검파 기법의 단점인 간섭 제거 과정에서 발생되는 시간 지연을 효과적으로 단축시킬 수 있고, 간섭 제거 기법을 적용하지 않은 기존의 CDMA 수신기와 비교하여 과도한 시스템의 복잡도 및 시간 지연의 증가 없이 효과적으로 시스템의 성능을 개선 할 수 있다.

A STUDY ON INDUSTRIAL GAMMA RAY CT WITH A SINGLE SOURCE-DETECTOR PAIR

  • Having its roots in medical applications, industrial gamma ray CT has opened up new roads far investigating and modeling industrial processes. Using a line of research related to industrial gamma ray CT, the authors set up a system of single source and detector gamma transmission tomography for wood timber and a packed bed phantom. The hardware of the CT system consists of two servo motors, a data logger, a computer, a radiation source and a radiation detector. One motor simultaneously moves the source and the detector for a parallel beam scanning, whereas the other motor rotates the scan table at a preset projection angle. The image is reconstructed from the measured projections by the filtered back projection method. The phantom was designed to simulate a cross section of a packed bed with a void. The radiation source was 20mCi of Cs-137 and the detector was a 1 inch $\times$ 1 inch NaI (TI) scintillator shielded by a lead collimator. The experimental gamma ray CT image has sufficient resolution to reveal air holes and the density distribution inside the phantom. The system could possibly be applied to a packed bed column or a pipe flow in a petrochemical plant.

차동식 열감지기 설치기준 비교분석에 관한 연구 (Differential temperature fire detector analysis of comparative study based on sensor installation)

  • Fire detectors are designed to minimize loss of life from a fire alarm system as an alarm to help evacuate more quickly until the completion of the evacuation alarm should be continued. the purpose of such alarms in order to achieve the characteristic fire heat release rate reaches a certain level, or when a certain time has elapsed, when the heat detector is to be alarms to answer. Requires a quick response, it is desirable to install the sensor as much as possible, but taking into account the cost of installation problems by engineering approach to minimize the quantity and rapidity of detection capability should be increased. In order to increase the rapidity of fire detectors in a room according to the height of the sensing period is to be maintained the optimum distance of the fire detector detects characteristics should be considered. Differential spot-type heat detectors installed domestic basis, depending on the type of sensor that can detect one sensor area is limited and less than 4m ceiling height regulations and simply double the number in excess of 4m and intended to be installed.

복사 차폐막이 극저온 용기의 부하에 미치는 영향에 관한 실험적 연극 (An Experimental Study on the Effects of a Radiation Shield on the Thermal Load of a Cryochamber)

  • Infrared (lR) detectors are widely used for such applications as thermoelstic stress analysis, medical diagnostics and temperature measurement. Infrared detectors commonly need to be refrigerated below 80 K, and thus a cooling system should be equipped together with the detector system. The cooling load, which should be removed by the cooling system to maintain the nominal operating temperature of the detector, critically depends on the insulation efficiency of the cryochamber housing the detector. Cryochamber considers the conduction heat transfer through a cold finger, the gases conduction and radiation heat transfer. The thermal loads of an infrared detector Cryochamber with radiation shield are investigated experimentally in present study. Since the effect of radiation heat transfer on thermal loads is significant, radiation shields is installed in the cold finger part to protect heat input through radiation. It is found that the thermal load can be substantially reduced by increasing the number of radiation shield.

  • Identification of steady-state is the first step in developing a fault detection and diagnosis (FDD) system. In a complete FDD system, the steady-state detector will be included as a module in a self-learning algorithm which enables the working system's reference model to "tune" itself to its particular installation. In this study, a steady-state detector of a residential air conditioner based on moving windows was designed. Seven representing measurements were selected as key features for steady-state detection. The optimized moving window size and the feature thresholds was suggested through startup transient test and no-fault steady-state test. Performance of the steady-state detector was verified during indoor load change test. From the research, the general methodology to design a moving window steady-state detector was provided for vapor compression applications.

Detection of voluminous gamma-ray source with a collimation beam geometry and comparison with peak efficiency calculations of EXVol

  • In this study, we expanded the performance of the existing EXVol code and performed empirical experiments and calculations. A high-resolution gamma spectroscopy system was constructed, and a standard point source and a standard volume source were measured with an HPGe detector with 43.1% relative efficiency. EXVol was verified by quantitative comparison of the detection efficiencies determined by measurements and calculations. To introduce the concept of the detector scanning that occurs in the actual measurement into the EXVol code, a collimator was placed between the source and detector. The detection efficiency was determined in the asymmetric arrangement of the source and detector with a collimator. A collimator made of lead with a diameter of 15 mm and a thickness of 50 mm was installed between the source and the detector to determine the detection efficiency at a specific location. The calculation result was contour plotted so that the distribution of detection efficiency could be visually confirmed. The relative deviation between the measurements and calculations for the coaxial and asymmetric structures was 10%, and that for the collimation structure was 20%. The results of this study can be applied to research using γ-ray measurements.
