패션디자이너 역량모델링 구축 (Fashion Designer Competency Modeling)

  • This study started with the need for transition to competency-based education as well as the witness of fast changes in fashion industry's job environment. The goals of this study were (1) to explore fashion designers' competencies that are necessary for a successful careers in global fashion industry, and (2) to establish fashion designer competency model. In-depth individual interviews were conducted with 15 participants who have charged for design department and moreover have shown high performance in national, licence or designer brands in Korea fashion industry. Grounded theory was adopted to analyze data. As a result of analysis, the 4 core competencies emerged: problem-solving, research, inter-personal, and self-development. Each core competency has sub-competencies. Creativity, commerciality, control, decision making were sub-competencies for the problem-solving competency. Information management, innovation understanding & application, trend analysis & forecasting were sub-competencies for the research competency. Consumer, inside company, and outside company relationships were sub-competencies for the inter-personal competency. Self-awareness, self-management, expertise were sub-competencies for the self-development competency. In order to acquire these competencies, knowledge (academic, practical, multi-discipline), skills (sense, analysis, synthesis, communication), and attitude (interest, enjoyment, perseverance, personality) were essential. Based on these findings, implications for university fashion design education and further research areas were suggested.

중(中).노년층(老年層) 여성복(女性服) 브랜드이미지 특성(特性)에 관(關)한 연구(硏究) (A Study on Brand Images of Women's Wear Manufacturers Targeting Middle Aged Women or Older Women)

  • The purpose of the study was to investigate brand images and fashion leaderships of women's wear manufacturers targeting middle-aged women or older women. Thus, this study was to be an exploratory study to investigate clothing behavior of elderly female consumers and search apprel niche-market for them. The questionnaire consists of questions on brand images, fashion leadership, and merchandise assortment. The subjects were to evaluate their brand images and rated on 5 point Likert-type scales of 29 adjectives. The fashion leadership of these brands was evaluated by the degree of fashion trends adopted on 7 aspects including fashion images, silhouettes, fabrics, colors, design details, accessories, and item-coordinations. For the survey, both interview and the subjects were 66 manufacturers which have national brands or designer brands. Among 44 respondents, 30 respondents were designers and the rest of them were merchandiser or shop managers. The SPSS PC+ package was used to calculate frequency, T-test, and cluster analysis. The results from survey of manufacturers targeting middle-aged women or older women are as follow: 1) The brand imges which they pursue are prestigious, practical, and elegance. 2) There were significant differences in brand images, and national brand manufacturers pursue stronger images in prestigious, chic, intelligent, competency, than designer brand manufacturers. 3) 40 brands were divided into two clusters. 36 brands were included in one cluster, and only 4 brand were belong to the other cluster. In this market, the image of feminity was grouped with the image of prestigious, chic, intelligent, competency. 4) In product planning, the adption level of fashion trends in 7 aspects was generally at medium level, but fashion trends were more adopted in fabric, color, and item-coordination.

리디자인(Redesign) 관점으로 분석한 사카이(Sacai) 패션디자인의 유형에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Sacai Fashion Designs Analyzed with the Redesign Perspectives)

  • Fashion is one of the main environmental pollution industries. To reduce pollution, much of the deadstock clothes are given a new value by being redesigning based on the designer's competency. This study aims to promote the revitalization of redesigning by analyzing and presenting hybrid design characteristics of the Sacai design collection, as a redesigning brand, and formative element characteristics of redesigning. A theoretical study using previous research on redesigning and related books and an empirical study analyzing the Sacai Collection were conducted. Based on the study results, there are four types of redesigning processes; recombination of heterogeneous clothing structure, reorganization by reversed function and position, reorganized composition by material processing, and mixing of heterogeneous materials. In the recombination of heterogeneous clothing structures, heterogeneous materials and structures coexist by combining the clothing components with other clothing elements. The second is the reconstruction by subversion. The third is reconstruction by material processing. The fourth is a mixture of disparate materials. This study has innovative redesign features from Sacai designs, and there are plans for a follow-up study that will analyze the work of another designer who is recognized for the excellence in redesigning.

디자인 교과과정에서의 데이터 문해력 교육에 관한 연구 -디자인-데이터 융합 교과 개발 사례를 중심으로 (Data Literacy Education in Design Curriculum of Higher Education Focused on Development of Design-Data Convergence Curriculum)

  • 본 연구는 향후 디자이너의 업무 역량에 매우 중대한 역할을 하게 될 데이터 문해력 확보를 위하여 디자인 대학 교과과정에서의 데이터 문해력 관련 교육목표와 교과 구성, 교육 내용을 연구하였다. 연구의 방법은 먼저 비전공자를 위한 데이터 문해력 교육의 사례들과 디자인 실무 현장의 데이터 기술 활용 현황을 살펴보았고, 현장 직무 중심 디자인 역량에 대한 선행 연구와 디자인 프로세스 모델을 바탕으로 디자인 분야에서 요구되는 데이터 관련 전공 능력을 도출하였다. 그리고 NCS에 기반한 빅데이터 기획과 분석 분야의 교육 내용을 조사하여, 디자인 전공 능력에 필요한 데이터 기술 관련 교과 내용을 연계하여 디자이너를 위한 데이터 문해력 교육 모듈을 3단계의 디자인-데이터 융합 교과 모델로 구성하였다. 개발된 융합 교과 모델을 바탕으로 필요한 단위 교과목과 강의 계획, 과목 간 연계 구조를 개발하였으며, 초, 중급 수준의 디자인-데이터 융합 교과목을 운영한 사례 연구를 통하여 교육모델의 교육 내용과 교육 성과를 검증하였다. 그리고 교과 운영 사례 연구의 발견 점들을 바탕으로 디자이너를 위한 데이터 문해력 교육의 구체적 실천 방안을 제시하고, 사례 연구의 한계를 명시하였다.

성과 창출 과정으로서의 e-러닝 교수설계 모형 (Investigation for an e-Learning Instructional Design Model for Business Performance)

  • The purpose of the study is to develop and validate an instructional design model from the perspective of the knowledge creation. To serve the purpose, the researcher conducted 1) literature review to find causal relationship model among knowledge creation factors and to propose a hypothetical instructional design model, 2) data analysis with 50 senior level e-Learning instructional designers, and 3) testing the fitness of the proposed model and relevant causal-relational hypotheses. Results indicate; 1) the proposed model fit to the empirical evidence, 2) 6 hypotheses among 11 were validated. A typical instructional designer's personal competency was evidenced as the most powerful independent variable that predicted knowledge acquisition, knowledge sharing, and the application of the instructional models. However, the expected effect of instructional design models toward other dependent variable was not be found. In addition, further suggestions for the future research are addressed.

융복합적 외주 중심 게임개발 환경에서의 그래픽 디자이너 필요역량 (The Graphic Designer's Competency in Convergence of Outsourcing Game Development)

  • 본 연구는, 보다 높은 부가가치를 목적으로 이제는 보편화된 제작방식의 하나로 자리를 잡았다고 할 수 있는 외주를 통한 융복합적 게임개발과 관련된 연구로, 특히 외부 업체와의 협업이라는 변화된 실무환경에서 그래픽디자이너에게 요구되는 업무역량을 중심으로 분석연구를 진행하였다. 이를 위해 선행연구로 외주의 기본개념과 외주제작이 지니는 장점들에 대하여 분석, 정리를 한 후, 이를 바탕으로 외주작업 시, 그래픽 디자이너에게 요구되는 업무역량을 크게 세가지로 분류, 분석연구를 진행함으로서, 그래픽 디자이너 업무영역과 관련하여 실무적 관점의 또 다른 가이드라인을 제시하는 것에, 본 연구의 목적과 의의를 두었다. 본 연구는 조사중심의 연구로서 분석의 대상을 외주를 통한 제작방식이 경영전략의 일환으로 활성화되어 있는 북미의 대표 개발사를 중심으로 하였음을 밝힌다.

디자이너 대상 디자인 역량강화교육과 개인성과와의 관계에서 학습 자기효능감과 기업 학습전이풍토의 매개효과 (In the relationship between design competency strengthening education for designers and individual performance, Mediating effect of learning self-efficacy and corporate learning transfer climate)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 개인의 학습 자기효능과 기업의 혁신적 지식전달과 같은 학습전이풍토가 디자이너의 특성을 고려한 디자인 역량강화교육과 개인성과와의 관계에서 매개역할을 할 것이라는 가설을 증명하는 것에 있다. 이는 단순히 교육의 만족도를 조사하는 기존의 연구와는 달리 디자이너의 특성에 근거한 학습 자기효능감과 디자이너가 조직의 문화에 영향을 주는 학습전이 풍토에 대한 정량적 분석을 하여 디자인 교육훈련의 의미를 확장하는데 의의가 있다. 구체적으로 본 연구에서는 7개의 가설을 설정하였고, 그 결과 디자이너 대상 디자인 역량강화 교육과 학습 자기효능감, 기업의 학습전이풍토는 개인성과에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.
