광고전략적 측면에서 본 구매시점 광고 (The Study of Point of Purchase Advertising from a Strategic Perspective)

  • POP광고에서 대한 접근은 여러 학자와 실무자들에 의해 행해져 왔다. 그러나 지금까지의 연구에서는 POP물에 대한 시각적, 디자인 적 측면이 과도하게 강조되어 왔거나 전체적 광고전략의 일부라는 시각보다 POP광고 자체만으로 파악하려는 태도가 주류를 이루었다. 그러나 POP광에 대한 심도 있는 이해를 위하여 POP광고도 커다란 마케팅 전략 중 광고전략의 일부로서 인식될 때 비로소 그 효용성 및 기능을 좀 더 정확히 파악할 수 있을 것이다. 과연 POP광고가 최대한의 효과를 거둘 수 있는 적절한 상황이 무엇이며, 어떤 상품 군에 좀 더 효과적일 수 있을지, 나아가 이러한 POP물은 충동구매와 어떤 관계가 있는지 등을 밝혀보는 것이 하나의 접근 방법으로서 바람직하다고 느껴진다. 본론에 들어가기 전에 기존 POP물의 기능과 역할에 대한 분류를 약술하고 비약적인 현대기술문명과 결합된 사례들도 찾아보았다. 본론은 충동구매에 대한 연구에 대부분이 할애되었다. 마지막으로 결론과 사례는 미국을 중심으로 한 선례 중에 그 일부를 임의로 선택하였다.

대학 UI에서 심벌마크와 슬로건 디자인과의 상관관계 (Correlation between Symbol Mark and Slogan Design in UI(University Identity) Design)

  • 슬로건은 정치행동부터 기업과 상품을 돋보이게 하는 광고의 영역에 이르기까지 널리 사용되는데, 이는 대중이나 고객에게 이미지를 좋게 하는 역할을 수행한다. 또한 대중이나 고객의 태도가 동요 적이고 미확정적일 때일수록 슬로건의 호소력은 크다. 21세기의 도래와 함께 학생이 소비자이자 고객이 되고 있는 대학은, 급변하고 있는 환경변화와 함께 대학의 브랜드가치와 인지도를 높여 강력한 파워브랜드로 자리매김할 수 있도록 획기적인 브랜드아이덴티티 전략을 수립하고 시행해야 할 시점이다. 대학의 심벌마크는 대학의 정체성과 연관성이 있고, 슬로건은 신선하고 호소력이 있어야 하며 브랜드 핵심가치를 잘 반영하고 있어야 한다. 본 연구에서는 시대적 변화나 라이프스타일에 따라 변하는 경영 전략 적 마케팅 프로그램으로서 개발되어야 할 대학 UI(University Identity)에서, 슬로건디자인의 시각요소들의 형태와 문장구성, 표기언어, 색상 등 심벌마크와 슬로건 조합의 이미지를 분석하고 슬로건과 심벌마크와의 디자인 상관관계를 연구하여 시너지 효과를 낼 수 있는 방안을 제안하고자 한다.

한정판 사은품의 특성이 브랜드 태도와 몰입에 미치는 영향 - 독특성 욕구의 조절효과 - (Effects of limited free gifts on brand attitudes and brand commitment - Moderating effects of need for uniqueness -)

  • Consumers want to express their original unique personality, and even are willing to endure high expenses in order to do this. One noticeable strategy in the market, used by companies to suit for this consumer sentiment, is that of employing limited edition marketing and limited free gifts. This study investigated the effects of limited free gifts on consumer response. Specifically, the present study examined how the need for uniqueness moderated the effects of limited free gifts on brand commitment and attitudes. The online survey method was used to gather the data and a total of 224 data were used to analyze data. The results of the research were as follows. The findings revealed four dimensions of limited free gifts: scarcity/specialty, not for sale, complementarity, and risk. Complementarity positively affected brand commitment, while all four dimensions of limited free gifts positively influenced brand attitude. In addition, the need for uniqueness was proven to be the strongest variable which positively influenced brand commitment and attitudes. Also, when the need for uniqueness was applied as a moderating variable, depending on the levels of the need for uniqueness, the effects of riskiness on the consumer's response were shown to be different. The findings of this study infer various academic and practical applications.

성인여성의 옷차림에 나타난 소비감성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Consumer Sensibility of Adult Women's Town Wear)

  • The purpose of this study was to provide the guidance in more objective and proper clothing design and a strategy of fashion marketing from consumer sensibilities about adult women's town wear in un-limited circumstance. The specific objectives were 1) to investigate relationship between fashion sensibility and consumer sensibility of Good and Bad women's town wear, 2) to compare fashion sensibility with consumer sensibility of Good and Bad women's town wear, and 3) to investigate a dimension of Good and Bad women's town wear in fashion sensibility. Because they can affect estimators, the collected photos at shopping mall, department stores, and churches (S/S, F/W: April 28, 2004~May 1, 2005) were prepared removing face and background and attached on gray board. To investigate consumer sensibilities, the stimulus were 80 photos (40 for 'good', 40 for 'Bad'). The questionnaire consisted of bi-polar 25 pairs adjective scale of consumer sensibility was distributed 600 female (20's~40's) living in Busan (June 28, 2005~July 11, 2005). The data were analyzed by ANOVA, Regression analysis, and MDS. The results of practical study are summarized as follows. Fashion sensibility on the preference in Good and Bad women's town wear is closely related in 'want to buy-do not want to buy' and buying need is 'like-dislike'. For the fashion sensibility dimension at Good women's town wear, X axis showed from Young to Adult and Y axis showed from Hard to Comfortable following positioned design characters. For the fashion sensibilities dimension at Bad women's town wear, X axis showed from Young to Adult, Y axis showed from Normal to Unique, and Z axis showed from Heavy to Light following positioned design characters.

ICT 발전과 패션산업에서의 고객 참여 (ICT Development and Customer Participation in Fashion Industry)

  • With the pervasiveness of digital environment and expansion of new media, ICT (Information and Communication Technology) leads the role of consumer to change from a passive customer into an active co-producer. As customer participation in the fashion industry increases, this study attempts to explore the cases of customer participation as a co-producer in fashion industry through analyzing business models of companies, including Threadless, Blank label, Cut on Your Bias, Acustom Apparel, Thinkgivers. The results show that customer participation is mainly facilitated through design participation in fashion industry, with different level of participation and IT as well as different contribution target. Compared to the past, consumer’s preference is reflected through participation before the stage of production. Results indicate three main characteristics of customer participation in fashion industry. First, value co-creations using customer experiences and understanding customer needs are important. Second, active online communication among customers are critical. Third, it is important to ensure customer’s own item. From a customer perspective, participation enables them to purchase their own distinctive product and offers exciting experience and satisfaction over the production processes, and compensation can be used to increase customer participation. On the other hand, companies using customer participation can take advantage of cost reduction in product development, inventory, and marketing. Customer participation, as a win-win strategy for business and consumer, is expected to expand further in the future with the development of ICT.

전남지역의 문화관광축제 상품현황 분석 (Market Analysis of Cultural Products Sold in Jeonnam Cultural Tourism Festivals)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify development strategies of high value-added cultural products in order to help promote Jeonnam cultural tourism festivals. In order to achieve this purpose, we carried out a market survey of cultural products sold in cultural tourism festivals held successfully within the Jeonnam area.The subjects of this study were local festivals which were labeled as cultural tourism festivals by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism from 2000 to 2008. The results of this study were as follows: Firstly, a store survey was conducted to analyze the categories of products on offer. As a result, the most frequent product was accessories (46.2%), followed by clothing and miscellaneous goods (25.2%), ceramic products (14.8%), interior decoration products (9.1%), and stationery (4.6%). Secondly, in the design motif used for cultural products, most products did not contain festival or local images. Cultural products with festival images made up 47.2% of the range, while only 2.3% of products on offer contained local imagery. The remaining 50.3% of cultural products for sale did not use festival or local images. Finally, in terms of materials used, most products used metal (36.7%), followed by textiles (32.9%), ceramic (13.8%), wood (6.2%), plastic (6.2%), paper (3.6%), and leather (0.2%). For price range, 52.4% of product were equal to or below 10,000 won, followed by 33.1% between 10,000-30,000 won. The results of this study showed that the cultural products of Jeonnam festivals lacked symbolism of the region or festival itself. Furthermore, items and the price ranges were not diverse enough. A possible solution would be to address this short coming, but more importantly, design a marketing and commercial strategy tailored towards the promotion of cultural products which contain both regional and festival imageries.

커뮤니케이션 플랫폼에 따른 패션 내러티브 분석 - 루이비통을 중심으로 - (Analysis of fashion narrative by communication platforms - Louis Vuitton as a case study -)

  • The objective of this study was to evaluate the characteristics of the fashion narrative from the commercial and artistic viewpoints by identifying and evaluating the attributes of the fashion narrative and analyzing the fashion narrative focusing on various cases according to fashion media. Louis Vuitton, a brand of the Louis Vuitton $Mo{\ddot{e}}t$ Hennessy (LVMH) group that operates the entire fashion community platform, is recognized as an influential luxury company with enormous capital and capabilities. This study targeted Louis Vuitton to examine the fashion narrative. The common results of Louis Vuitton's fashion narrative according to the communication platform are as follows. First, it emphasizes well-designed craftsmanship and artistry to convey the value and meaning of the brand. Second, it expresses the lifestyle of the bourgeoisie using traveling for finding life purpose, nature, and freedom as common denominators. Louis Vuitton connects, shares, and engages with customers by crossing the communication platform and trying multi-sensory changes based on the fashion narrative of the 'artification' message encompassing craftsmanship, innovation, and travel. The fashion narrative of Louis Vuitton applies tools (e.g., design, direction, stage, and props) differently according to the nature of media. In other words, the fashion narrative in the form of transmedia storytelling is a marketing communication strategy that indicates the representation means and direction of a brand's goals by remediating the brand narrative in various ways through the communication platform.

스포츠 웨어 브랜드의 콜라보레이션, 원산지, 유행관여도가 중국소비자의 호의도에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Collaboration, Brand Origin, and Fashion Involvement of Sportswear Brands on Preference of Chinese Consumers)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate and verify interaction effects of collaboration and brand origin as well as fashion involvement on consumer attitudes towards global sports apparel brands and Chinese local sports apparel brands targeting Chinese consumers. A survey was conducted on 425 Chinese women aged 19 to 34 years. Data were subjected to frequency analysis, reliability analysis, t-tests, 3-way ANOVA, and simple effect analysis. Results of the study are as follows. First, fashion involvement, collaboration, and brand country of origin all had a significant effect on consumer preference of Chinese consumers when purchasing sportswear. Second, fashion involvement and collaboration in purchasing sportswear had a significant interaction effect on consumer preference. Finally, collaboration, brand origin, and fashion involvement showed significant three-way interaction effects on Chinese consumers' preferences. Results of this study can help establish an efficient marketing strategy for Chinese local sportswear brands, which are fiercely competing with global sportswear brands in the Chinese market because they can examine Chinese consumers' attitudes toward sportswear brands. To accurately compare global and local sportswear brands, it must be assumed that there are no differences in brand preferences among consumers. However, as this study selected each brand as the research brand ranked as the top preference, this aspect was not taken into consideration. Therefore, in future research, it is necessary to consider differences in brand preferences and conduct the study accordingly.

휴대폰 디자인에 있어서 지배성 변화 측정 (Measuring Changes of Dominance in Designs of Mobile Phones)

  • 본 연구는 디자인요소의 변화과정을 통해 제품디자인요소(product design factors)의 지배력 정도(dominant degree)를 실증적으로 분석하고 있다. 선행연구에서는 지배적 디자인에 대한 측정방법은 구체적으로 제시되었지만 장기간에 걸쳐 데이터를 확보하지 못한 한계점으로 시간의 흐름에 따른 지배적 디자인(dominant design)의 실증연구가 제시되지 않았다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 연도별 디자인 변화 데이터를 확보한 후 휴대폰의 디자인 지배력(dominance)과 지배구조(structure change)가 어떻게 변했는지를 측정해 보았다. 측정결과, 휴대폰 디자인요소 중 바디형태(body form)와 모서리(edge)는 지배력(dominance)이 점점 증가하여 각각 직사각형으로 라운드 모서리로 집중화(convergence)되는 경향인 지배적 디자인요소를 가지고 있었고, 버튼방식(button type), 개폐방식(open type), DMB여부, 영상통화여부, 컬러조합, 바디컬러는 지배력이 높았다가 감소되면서 디자인수준(design levels)이 분산화(divergence) 되는 경향을 가지고 있었다. 이렇게 제품디자인요소의 지배력 정도를 측정함으로써 마케팅 관리자나 디자이너들에게 급변하는 시장 상황에서 제품전략을 수립하는데 도움이 될 것이다. 본 연구는 지배적 디자인에 대한 실증연구를 통해 신제품 개발시 지배적 디자인 등장에 대비한 성공적인 제품 개발의 가이드라인을 제공하는데 도움이 될 수 있다.

팝아트적 키덜트 문화 연구 (A study on pop art kidult culture)

  • 본 연구는 다양한 문화가 공존하는 현대사회 속에서 성인의 문화에 유쾌하고 재미있는 것을 추구하는 키덜트 문화가 나타나기 시작한 것을 예술사조로서 팝아트가 현대 키덜트 문화에 영향을 준 것으로 보고 팝아트의 특성의 맥을 이어온 키덜트 문화가 소비시장에 밝은 미래를 기약하고 키덜트 문화상품의 세계화 확대를 통한 키덜트 마케팅에 도움이 되고자 하는데 그 목적이 있다. 연구방법은 팝아트의 특성과 문화현상을 분석하기 위해 논문과 학술지 등 선행 문헌을 통한 이론적 연구 자료를 참고하였고 현시점의 키덜트 문화현상을 느낄 수 있도록 최근 이슈가 되는 키덜트적 언론보도, TV프로그램, 영화, 광고, 생활용품 등을 뉴스, 미디어자료, 인터넷 자료 등을 중심으로 자료를 분석하였다. 그 결과 팝아트적 표현특성 중 대중성, 생동감, 유머와 위트가 특히 키덜트 문화에 영향을 준 것으로 보고 있다. 이를 통해 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 첫째, 키덜트 소비문화의 질적 양적 향상을 통해 밝은 소비시장의 활성화를 기대해 볼 수 있다. 둘째, 연령에 맞는 다양한 아이템의 문화상품개발을 통한 키덜트 소비문화 확대의 노력이 필요하다. 셋째, 국내기업은 자체 개발한 캐릭터로 성인 소비시장을 개척해야 한다. 넷째, 세계시장에 한류를 이용한 키덜트 문화상품의 적극적인 마케팅이 필요하다.
