What kind of the mini-component the X-generation wanted\ulcorner It is not easy to find a mini-component which everbody can satisfy with a design and functions. By pre-test of the survey the most wanted things in the mini-component was extracted. By the post-test of the survey the newly design with a price of 500, 000 won. In this paper we try to suggest a mini-component whic X-generation can satisfy with a design and functions. Therefore, this new designed mini-component can give a visual happiness and enjoyment of the sound.

In this paper, we demonstrate the implementation case using component based development tool under development process for application developments. The tool suggested provides the programming environment for the development of distributed manufacturing applications primarily. The development tool is classified into visual component, logic component, data component, knowledge component, neural net component, and service component which is a core component for the support component edit and execution. We applied the tool to the domain of the design and routing plan to retrieve existing similar design models in database, initiate a model, generate a process plan, and store the new model in the database automatically. Utilizing the tool, it integrates a geometric modeler, engineering/manufacturing database, and knowledge sources over the Internet.
The component for satisfying several domain requirements must be developed to support variety. But, when the application is developed using the component, it happens other requirements. So, it is difficult to design component to satisfy severaldomain requirements. Also, it is impossible to support the special business logic. As this problem, the component must provide to the white-box component, it is not the black-box component. So, in this paper, we propose the variability design technique and the customization technique using the design technique that can support the various requirements. This technique is not focus on designing the component to analyze various domains. The variability of the component is designed to the initial variability in the component development phase and we use the customization technique for applying the variability to developing application. The variability can be re-designed during developing the application to use the component applying the variability. The variability of the component is evolved and the generation of the component is increased via the iteration Generally, the range of the component variability is classified the function modification within the component and the component internal structure modification as requirements in the component outside. As the range of the variability, we propose the variability design technique of the behavior and the message flow. This paper proposes a message flow design technique for modifying function call.

Most engineering products contain more than one component. Failure occurs either at the connection itself or in the component at the point of attachment of the connection in many engineering structures. The allocation and design of connections such as bolts, spot-welds, adhesive etc. usually play an important role in the structure of multi-components. Topology optimization of connection component provides more practical solution in design of multi-component connection system. In this study, a topology optimization based on density distribution approach has been applied to optimal location of fasteners such as T-shape, L-shape and multi-component connection system. From the results, it was verified that the number of iteration was reduced, and the optimal topology was obtained very similarly comparing with ESO method. Therefore, it can be concluded that the density distribution method is very suitable for topology optimization of multi-component structures.
Component-based Development is gaining a wide acceptance as an economical software development paradigm to develop applications by utilizing reusable software components. Well-defined interface manages coupling and cohesion between components, minimizes the effect on the user in case of component evolvement, and enhances reusability, extendibility and maintainability. Therefore, study on systematic development process and design guidelines for component interface has been required since the component has been introduced. In this paper, we propose three types of interfaces based on software architecture layers and functionality types; Provided Interface which provides functionality of a component, Required Interface which specifies required functionality that is provided by other components, and Customize Interface which tailors the component to customer's requirement. In addition, we suggest design criteria for well-designed interface, and systematic process and instructions for designing interface. We firstly cluster operations extracted from use case model and class model to identify Provided interfaces, and design Customize interfaces based on artifacts for variability. We also specify Required interfaces by identifying dependency among interfaces. Proposed interface design method provides traceability, throughout the component interface design. And furthermore, proposed guidelines support practical design for high quality component based on a case study.

The mechanism design is synthesis of suitable mechanism which can be output motions about input motions. That has generally two steps which are the type synthesis and the dimensional synthesis. And required mechanism analysis step for confirming middle or final result. The type synthesis is definition of mechanism type which required aim and the dimensional synthesis is calculation of dimension about defined type mechanism. The type synthesis of mechanism is included qualitative design field which isn't defined systematic design method. especially, the most difficult step for mechanism design automation. In this paper proposed the component modular design method which is figured mechanism types automate with component modules using component modular approach. And develop CAD(Computer Aided Program) program for application.
Component-Based Development(CBD) leverages software reusability and diminishes development costs. Various works about component models, such as EJB, COM, and CCM are in progress to support CBD. However, current component models hardly support flexible assembly of pre-built components. To cope with this problem, architecture for component assembly must be defined in the abstract level and the gap between system architecture and its implementation should be diminished in the implementation level. This paper proposes a method for architecture-based design and implementation of component assembly. Architecture is described by the ADL, and the tool, COBALT Assembler, is introduced to support the proposed design and implementation phase of component assembly.
The component-based development methodology becomes famous as the reuse technology to improve the high productivity of software development. It is necessary component metrics for component-based systems, because the designed components should be measurable to improve the quality of the software. Therefore this paper propose a coupling metric for component design which is reflected in characteristics of component. This paper suggest a case study and comparative analysis result about conventional metrics to verify the accuracy of our coupling metric. The Uoposed coupling metric measure the quality of components accurately and satisfies necessary conditions of coupling metric suggested by Briand and others.
As software industry is rapidly evolving, IT business enterprises have been meeting with cutthroat competition in developing software. As software reusability, time to market, and maintainability are considered as a competitive edge, software component techniques have lately attracted considerable attention. Currently, although there are some supporting tools for developing software components, they do not have tight connections among component developing processes such as component identification, component modeling, detailed design, code generation, deployment, and testing. And it is restrictive for users to construct various scales of components on component platform architecture. In this paper, we provide an implementation and a design of a supporting tool for constructing platform-independent software components, which covers all development lifecycles of components. In the phase of component modeling, platform independent, conceptual components are identified from domain model information in the view of system partitioning. Detailed design and implementation of a component are performed on the J2EE platform architecture. And the changes on the design model and source codes are consistently managed by using round-trip techniques.
This paper proposes a method to classify and retrieve components in repository using the idea of domain orientation for the successful reuse of components. A design pattern was applied to existing systems and a component classification method is suggested here to compare the structural similarity between each component in relevant domain and criterion patterns. Classifying reusable components by their functionality and then depicting their structures with a diagram can increase component reusability and portability between platforms. Efficiency of component reuse can be raised because the most appropriate component to query and similar candidate components are provided in priority by use of-SARM algorithm.
