The railway has been developed largely by the characteristic factors of the railway through change of the society and culture. The railway trends has been changing from instinctive methods to settle the mass transport of the early days, to sensitive methods to pursue the railway culture centering around human being. As dividing by period according to the changes of railway trends into the external nation, there are to analyze the development history of the railway design. Accordingly each nation (United Kingdom, Germany, France, Japan) and the style's change, to confirm the changes into the design applied in society and culture needs, and to analyze by a year in changes of the environment and the railway history from the 1800's to 2005, so there contribute in the development of railway design to present the paradigm of the future railway by analyzing the trend according to the changes of railway design and the life environment in this paper.

The purpose of this study is to investigate how to develop the Korean textile pattern design that can respond properly to the demand of consumers. This is very important to maintain a steady growth of the Korean textile and clothing industry. To serve this purpose, this study conduct surveys (through questionnaires) of European textile design industries centering around Italian textile design industry. The survey result shows that in most European textile pattern design studios, the "repeat" process is not necessarily considered as a part of the textile pattern design process and, in fact, the price of textile pattern design with the "repeat" is 30% higher than the price of textile pattern design without the "repeat". The survey result also exhibits that the inclusion of the "repeat" in the textile pattern design process could limit the ability of expressing creative ideas. As a proposal for the development of Korean textile pattern design, this study suggests that the "repeat" process should be separated from the textile design process and specialized as an independent area of the pattern design.

보통중심가새골조는 단순한 설계절차를 갖는 이점이 있다. 이와 같은 이유로, 지진하중에 대한 내진성능이 다른 골조 시스템에 비해 크게 효과적이지 않음에도 불구하고 중간 또는 낮은 수준의 지진을 받는 소규모 골조 구조물에 널리 사용되어 왔다. 횡방향 지진 하에서 압축 거동에 대해 취약한 가새부재를 갖는 보통중심가새골조의 내진성능을 향상시키기 위해, 통상적으로 점성감쇠기에 의한 내진보강이 도입되어 왔다. 하지만, 점성감쇠기 자체는 일반적으로 구조물을 원래 위치로 복원시킬 수 있는 강성을 갖지 않는다. 이는 구조물에 잔류 변위를 유발시킬 수도 있다. 이 논문에서는 휨강성을 갖는 상·하부 보가 비선형-탄성 스프링 역할을 하여 외부 변위 이력을 받는 스프링-감쇠기 시스템을 원래 위치로 복원시키는 자가복원형 점성감쇠기 시스템이 개발되었다. 단순화된 골조 구조물에 대한 수치해석은 개발된 자가복원형 점성감쇠기 시스템을 포함할 경우 지진이 가해지는 동안 에너지 소산을 통해 어떻게 골조 구조물의 향상된 내진성능을 가져오는지 보여준다.

Some problems facing the cities in modern times begin to be highlighted due to the development into the information-oriented society via the stage of industralization. The structures built centering on the second industries have become superannuated to degenerate as horrid objects while losing their purposefulness with the emergence of the information age. In designing a hotel space where people stay temporarily unlike the housing space for a permanent stay, housing designers are making efforts to work on space design that could be more imprinted in the mind of the users. As the fruit of their sheer labor, the space design in modern hotel design comes to direct a diversity of atmospheres by virtue of various art genres which try to apply it to a space by borrowing it and changing its appearance. Thus, this study aims to look into how the gradually evolving conversion design hotel come to be recreated as an urban regeneration space while retaining the value of the space used in the past, and to analyze & systematize its subsequent design patterns applied to conversion design hotel space with focus on the recent cases.

The great development of the modern science enables the information technology including computer to be promoted, which has the great effects on the whole design field. Most of all, the computer has the feature to express the mathmatical formular through the logic and system, which is being used very efficiently in the design work. CG application to the two-dimensional design may be limited in promoting the basic ability synthetically through the direct and molding experience for its attribute, however, it is possible to create the effects on the different level in addition to those from the traditional skill. In particular, we should keep the fact in mind that the CG application in the design field will be able to accomplish the object only under understanding the attributes and functions for it to have. We should carry out the task to agree with. First, it is necessary to develop the various study on the educational environment to make the process to solve the problems and to promote the effects of the educational media in teaching design with the CG application. This study would make plans to approach that the computer can be utilized for the main method to create design despite of being limited in some point. Moreover, it suggests the possibility for the CG application in the course of building up and motiving the models by applied the basic system, which enables the computer to be applied centering around the composition of geometry pattern of the basic course of the two-dimensional design.

본 연구는 심미적 영향요소 중 전형성과 동시에 중요하게 인지되는 또 다른 속성 즉 비례(proportion)를 중심으로 소비자가 선호할 수 있는 디자인을 창출할 수 있도록 하기 위하여 제품의 범주화와 제품 형태분석을 통해 제품에 대한 이상적 비례를 도출해 냄으로써 비례의 조작만으로도 소비자가 선호할 수 있는 차별화 된 제품디자인을 위한 방법론을 구축하고자 한다. 이에 본 연구의 연구방법으로는 시중에 판매되는 제품들 중 비례가 중요하다고 인식되는 제품을 가지고 전형적 모델을 찾아 치수를 유추시켜 2차 자극물을 만들었다. (즉 전형적 모델에서 일정한 치수 변화를 주어 2차 자극물을 만들었다.) 이후 2차 자극물을 동질성분석을 통해 대표적인 2차 자극물들로 실험을 하여 그 제품에서 가장 이상적인 비례를 찾았다. 이후 황금 비례와 이상적 비례와의 관계를 살펴보고 제품들마다 이상적 비례는 따로 있음을 증명하였다. 즉 결론은 "신제품 개발시 비례는 주어지는 규격이 아니라 찾아내어야 할 선호 요소 중 하나이다"라는 것이다.

Generally part of museum collections are cycled exhibition space centering around preservation space, and that is a important mechanism of collections circulation in a museum. The reason why with a few exception most of collections have been lasting its life during over hundreds of years with adapting itself to natural features, so scheme of preservation facilities should be made up with understanding and analysis generic character of collections, and then establish proper temperature and huminity environment. So, this study is based on a fact that the collections' physical and chemical conditions vary in the relics a degree of transforatiov. And by making a suitable ganering environment, this gradual study is to provide planning factors for an architectural guide to make museum ganering environment organized and resonable.

Modern fashion can be expressed as 'pursuit of cocktail effect', which means not unformed, not bounded by a rule, and mixed with various styles. Among them, the most outstanding trend of style is the'infra-syndrome'which designs underclothes like a ordinary wear, which has outstood since early 1980s. In 1990s, this syndrome made active progress and now facing 21th century, it becomes one of the big trends in fashion. Clothes of infra syndrome are one of attempts for freedom expressed by progressive designers who pursuit new and surrealistic design. The purpose of this study is to maximize the aesthetic beauty of'infra-syndrome'apparel centering on dresses of which designs are notable derived from underclothes. With the sewing techniques using the special facilities of the lingerie-manufacturing industry and making use of new material which can be used far lingerie wear, this research strives to expand new ideas in the lingerie industry as well as to contribute to promoting the dress culture by developing novel lines from a new form of dress and lingerie-foundations of dress suitable for human body.

Fuzzy control has been used successfully in many practical applications. In traditional methods, experience and control knowledge of human experts are needed to design fuzzy controllers. However, it takes much time and cost. In this paper, an automatic design method for fuzzy controllers using genetic algorithms is proposed. In the method, we proposed an effective encoding scheme and new genetic operators. The maximum number of linguistic terms is restricted to reduce the number of combinatorial fuzzy rules in the research space. The proposed genetic operators maintain the correspondency between membership functions and control rules. The proposed method is applied to a cart centering problem. The result of the experiment has been satisfactory compared with other design methods using genetic algorithms.

In this study, were prepared after statistical analysis was conducted of assessment items and marks distribution for the selection of executors of the BTL project. When tests of the degree of dispersion and degree of appropriateness for each assessment item were analyzed, it was found that the degree of dispersion among assessment points has the power of discrimination since it is highly marked in the design field and operation management field. In contrast, 'business management plan' and 'investment composition for economic quality assessment' have a low level of the power of discrimination since points given to them have smaller difference between business projects.
