  • Recently, PPP (Public-Private-Partnership) Projects, which private companies invest in, plan, design, construct and operate, have become more popular around the world. The construction industry environment is becoming increasingly competitive. The PPP project is composed of various organizations, so it is very difficult to carry out the project successfully. In this environment, the construction companies are trying hard to secure a competitive advantage. In this study, we tried to identify the role of project manager's leadership and project citizenship behavior as a precedent for creating performance in PPP (Private-Public-Partnership) project. We examine the impact of PM's transformational leadership and transactional leadership on project citizen behavior and examine the impact of project citizen action on project management performance and completion performance. For this study, we conducted a questionnaire survey on PPP project participants. As a result, the following results were obtained. First, transformational leadership and transactional leadership had a significant influence on project citizenship behavior. Second, project citizen behavior had a significant impact on both project management performance and project completion performance. The idealized influence of transformational leadership and the Active management by exception of transactional leadership were found to be very important in shaping PPP team's project citizenship behavior. Therefore, this study has academic implications in studying the effects of PM leadership and project citizenship behavior on the performance of PPP project. And it is expected that it will help selection and training of PM to secure a competitive advantage for construction companies that implement PPP projects practically.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to develop extracurricular coaching programs to improve communication skills and leadership for nursing students and evaluate the effects of the programs. Methods: The 8-week extracurricular coaching program was developed based on the Joo, Whitmore and Hong models. A quasi-experimental design was used. The subjects were selected by two full-time nursing professors training students at one university in city G. The subjects were chosen from among the advisees of these two professors. Of the students who participated in this study, 29 were in the experimental group and 27 were in the control group. Data was analyzed through t-test and Mann Whitney U-test. Results: The experimental group showed significantly higher post-test scores in communication skills, communication as a nursing outcome, observation of communication, leadership, and leadership as a nursing outcome than those of the control group. However, the experimental group did not reveal significantly higher post-test scores in the number of leadership activities using a portfolio than those of the control group. Conclusion: This extracurricular coaching program can help cultivate important, basic grounding as well as achieve nursing student learning outcomes upon graduation.

Methods: This study was designed using the nonequivalent control group pre-posttest design. Sixty students were assigned either to the experimental group (30 students) or control group (30 students). Data were analyzed with $x^2-test$ and t-test using SPSS/WIN 20.0 program. Results: The experimental group showed significant higher scores for social problem-solving ability (t=2.12, p=.038) and self-leadership (t=2.91, p=.007) compared to the control group 5 weeks after the program finished was supported by significant differences in the scores between the two groups. Conclusion: These findings showed that the Health Education program has a significant effect on improving social problem-solving ability and self-leadership in nursing college students and the program can be used as a tool to promote the social problem-solving ability and self-leadership of Health college students. Further studies are warranted to examine long term effects of health education.

  • This research investigates the effect of fashion leadership on Word of Mouth (WOM) communications on the Internet. This research categorizes consumers into groups by fashion leadership and compares the groups regarding the WOM behavior (degrees of WOM acceptance and delivery as well as the motivations of WOM acceptance and delivery). The subjects of the study were 325 males and females. Major statistical methods used for the study were factor analysis, ANOVA, Scheff$\acute{e}$'s test, and chi-square test. The results categorized consumers into five groups by fashion leadership (dual leaders, fashion innovators, fashion opinion leaders, fashion followers, and fashion laggards). There were significant differences among fashion leadership groups over WOM behavior (acceptance and delivery) and monthly clothing expenditures. Fashion dual leaders had a higher degree of WOM acceptance with motivation of fashion information acquisition and compliance, and they had a higher degree of WOM delivery through motivation of economic compensation, pleasure, and advice. In addition, they had a higher expenditure for clothing products. Fashion innovators had a lower degree of compliance in WOM acceptance. Fashion opinion leaders had a higher degree of WOM delivery through motivation from advice. Fashion followers delivered WOM through motivation of economic compensation and advice. Fashion laggards had a lower degree of WOM acceptance and delivery.

  • This study provides the empirical testing to test the influences of contemporary leadership styles (i.e., transactional and transformational) on job satisfaction and customer satisfaction as the mediating variable between job satisfaction and customer loyalty. The approach utilized in this study was a quantitative research design using a survey model. The participants of this study were recruited from 160 front-liners in the airline's industry in Indonesia. This study employed 160 front liners (flight attendants, reservation/ticketing, and check-in-counter officers) who worked in Branch Office/General Sales Agent of Indonesian commercial airlines. The studied airlines serve domestic routes based at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport. Furthermore, the data were examined the four developed hypotheses by using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The primary results are: First, in the context of job satisfaction, both leadership styles (i.e., transactional and transformational) have similar influences; Second, job satisfaction affects customer satisfaction positively and significant, Third, customer loyalty is driven by passengers' satisfaction when they are utilizing the airline services. The findings imply that the working-role encouragement is essential to maximize the productivity of front-liners to serve their customer well. This research supports on developing the general knowledge based on leadership styles in the context of the airline's industry in managing the human resources strategically.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop the engineering students leadership program and evaluate the pilot test. To this end, literature reviews covering various leadership programs were studied and a needs analysis survey was conducted. The needs analysis survey found that student subjects believe leadership to be an important quality, but that the current availability of leadership training programs is lacking. Furthermore, results of the study are as follows, with respective results listed in descending order. The majority of students selected on-line learning as their preferred training method, followed by blended learning and in-person learning. Students also indicated their preferred instructional method to be through on-line courses. Based on these results, a preliminary pilot program was experimentally launched for only 1 class's use. This process of the development for the Engineering Leadership Program consists of 4 stages. The first stage is a needs analysis survey, followed by the design of the program based on results from the needs analysis survey. Afterwards comes the development stage, followed by the implementation stage, comprised of two parts; the pilot test and the distribution. The final stage is the overall evaluation step. We are currently in the first step of the third stage (the pilot test) and only the overall evaluation stage remains. After the distribution, a follow-up study will be conducted to analyze the effectiveness of the implemented program.
