  • Generally, Industrial robots are often controlled using joint processors and treating each joint as an independent servo loop. This paper presents a system architecture for robot control designed for real-time control of motion and sensory processing utilizing general-purpose Personal Computer. And for easily use and system expendability, robot language is implemented with C-language as base language. Through this system user can easily update robot language by design of his own language primitives. This system also don't require another development tool and can be used as advanced algorithm simulator in robotics laboratories.

  • In this paper, I made a comparative study of design process of Kuryong-Ri, Keumsong-Myun, Chechon City, Chungbuk Province which is one of rural communities in Korea and framing process of master plan for Hama street at Sirahama town on Wakayama Ken, famous hot-bath resort in Japan. Both processes have common points to adopt identical design philosophy and method called 'Pattern Language'. The aim of this study to provide valuable reference for applying at community design by the people in the future, though analyzing common and unlike points, laying stress on the process of user-participation rather than its final results. It is possible confirm Pattern Language is effective tool for carrying out community design by the people.

  • This study is aimed to increase the possibility of using the Christopher Alexander's pattern language. The methodology of this study is (i) to analyze the pattern language by using the network analysis tool in order to understand the complicate network structure of the pattern language, and (ii) to apply the Alexander's method of using the pattern language by using the network analysis tool (Gephi) and to examine the feasibility of the network analysis tool as a tool for using the pattern language. Firstly, as a result of analysing the pattern language, (i) the pattern language classified by pattern number is distinguished by the patterns of towns, buildings and construction, among which the pattern of buildings plays a key function in the networks; (ii) the buildings functions a medium connecting between the towns and the construction; and (iii) the pattern language is divided into 6 sub-modules, through which the user can select a pattern. Secondly, the result of using the network analysis tool as a tool for using the pattern language (i) suggests the new method of using the pattern language by using the network analysis tool (Gephi); (ii) makes it possible to easily figure out the characteristics of the links between the patterns; and (iii) increases the completeness of the pattern language by making it easy to find out the sub-patterns in selecting a pattern.

A Study on the Effectiveness of the Instructional Design for Further Interaction on English Learning in a CMC Based Language Learning Environment: Focusing on University General English Education (CMC기반의 영어학습 환경에서 상호작용 촉진을 위한 교수설계가 영어학습에 미치는 효과 : 교양 영작문 과목을 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study is to determine the effects of CMC-based English learning. In this study, CMC components were found to provide circumstances of facilitating interactions between student-student and student-student-teacher, which enabled students to accomplish language learning tasks. Findings of this study are as follows: First, CMC based language learning experience helps students have positive attitudes toward their English language learning. Second, student-student-instructor interaction group outperformed other groups in academic achievement and class activity participation. Third, cooperative learning groups more actively participated in the class activity than the individual learning group resulting in better academic performances. These findings supported the fact that cooperative learning with CMC components are useful in bringing more class participation and positive attitude that were believed to foster language learning than other groups in traditional language learning environments. This study suggests that the instructor needs to use instructional design strategies helpful to facilitate active interactions between instructors and students in order to achieve better effectiveness of English learning in a CMC based learning environment.

  • There are a great number of difficulties without Interface Guideline, even though the utility of the web in the educational field has been increased. In spite of having a guideline there still remains problems, when the researcher develops a practical web design, because of uniformity and universality. The purpose of this research will give a good model and a guideline, developing a way of web-site assessment through psychological language. First, the researcher has to induce psychological language and recognize the relevance of the principle of device system. Second, they should build an assessment model based on an established system of classification. As a result, they recognized that an assessment model based on the system of psychological language can help in working out authentic design problems. The designer faces many difficulties when using Interface Guideline for the sake of the existing software developer because of specific terminology. On the contrary, these days, the guideline of psychological language system provides the designer with easy comprehension of language and also able to perceive problems in advance. In addition, the researcher can realize that it can be used, as a good source and data.

  • This study researches the association between associative vocabulary and fashion image language in order to extract ideas that can be used as basic data for design ideas. Classic - avant-garde imaged language were chosen as theme words and each 70 questionnaires per a final image word were used for analysis. We obtained the following results by researching keywords that explained classic image words through a word cloud technique. It was found to have high central representation in the order of suit, classical, basic, music, Chanel, black and traditional. The core key words explaining avant-garde image language were found to have a central representation in the order of : peculiar, huge, Comme des Garçons, artistic, creative, deconstruction and individuality. We extracted the necessary idea dimensions needed for design ideas through associative network graph analysis. In the case of classical image language, it was named as the Mannish Item, Music, Modern Color, and the Traditional Classicality dimensions. In the case of avant-garde image language, it was named as the Key Image, Artistic Aura, Key Design and Designers dimensions.

  • Frank O. Gehry is hewn to be an architect whose design 1anguage is so arbitrary and so unexpectedly changing that it seems to be almost impossible to trace any common language or my coherence over his entire career and works. To provide a counter-argument to this conception, this study explores the transformation pattern of the design language commanded by Gehry through his works. To pursue this study, Gehry's career was divided into four periods according to the design characteristics, and thorough analysis was conducted on the transformation pattern of the language both synchronically and diachronically. Based on the analysis, it was found that Gehry had been always trying to metaphorically embody the synchronic context of any given Period into his works, and the vehicles of this embodiment were materiality and morphology. Finally the argument of this study is that the changing process of Gehry's design language is not any "revolutionary change," as it was known to be, but 〃evolutionary transformation. "on."
