  • Earthquake resistance design has been developed many countries like Japan, USA, Mexico, New Zealand etc., which countries have experienced many earthquakes. Nowadays, earthquake resistance design has come into worldwide use. In Korea, the seismic design regulations have been established since 1988 in order to minimize the economic losses. Recently performance based design method has been adopted as a new Earthquake resistance design method. These regulations, however, are targeted for newly constructed buildings, In Korea, there are no regulations for existing buildings that built before 1988. On the other hand, in Japan and USA, the seismic performance evaluation is coded. In Japan, the evaluation index which can measure seismic performance has been made. So, we need to prepare the regulations that evaluate the seismic performance, furthermore proper retrofitting design guideline needs to be proposed when remodeling old buildings. In this research, various seismic performance evaluation methods which are being used in Japan and USA are reviewed in order to establish seismic performance evaluation index for those existing old structures in Korea.

공리적설계/AHP를 이용한 해외무기체계 구매사업 제안서 평가지표 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Development of Proposal Evaluation Index for the Overseas Weapon System Purchasing Projects using Axiomatic Design/AHP)

  • In this study, the axiomatic design(AD) method is applied to construct the hierarchical structure of evaluation criteria and the AHP method is used to calculate the weights of criteria in order to develop the proposal evaluation index for the overseas weapon system purchasing projects. The common evaluation items as main categories are selected through the review of evaluation criteria from the previous works and projects, relevant regulations and defense policy, and the design matrix using fuzzy concept is established and evaluated by the expert group in each design phase to determine the independency, that is the satisfaction of decoupled or uncoupled design, for each criteria in the same hierarchy when they are derived from the main categories. The establishment of decoupled or uncoupled design matrix provides mutually exclusiveness of how small number of DPs can be accounted for FRs within the same hierarchy. The proposal evaluation index developed in this study will be used as a general proposal evaluation index for the overseas weapon system purchasing projects which there are no systematically established evaluation tools.

  • The 1-D finite-element mehtod is applied for designing double-clad otpical fibers with dispersion-compensation capability. design parameters allowing only a $LP_{01}$ single mode are treated and macro-bending loss are taken into consideration. Design parameters are extracted to have the compensation ratio $(L_{SMF}/L_{DCF})$ of 6.2 for core structure with step-index profile, and of 5.2 for core with triangular-index profile.

  • 디지털 기술의 발전과 제품의 정보화로 인해 최근 사용자 인터페이스 디자인의 중요성이 더욱 더 증대되고 있다. 따라서 사용자 인터페이스의 개선이 어느정도 효과가 있는지를 체계적이고 합리적인 방법으로 측정하고 관리하는 것이 필요하다. 본 연구는 사용자 인터페이스 디자인에 있어서 사용성이 얼마나 개선되었는지를 나타내는 측정 가능한 '사용성 개선지수'를 개발하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 먼저 기존의 사용성 평가방법과 선행연구에 대한 분석을 통해 사용성 개선지수 개발을 위한 사용성 측정 및 평가방법에 대한 틀을 마련하였다. 다음으로는 측정 가능한 사용성의 특성을 분류, 정의하고 이를 바탕으로 사용성 개선지수 산출 프로세스를 제안하였다. 현재의 사용성 수준을 측정하고 문제점을 분석하여 사용성을 개선한 대안을 제시하고, 개선된 사용성 수준을 측정하여 개선전과 개선 후의 사용성 수준을 비교할 수 있게 하였다. 개발된 사용성 개선지수는 실제 제품의 사용성평가와 개선작업을 사례연구로 진행하여 그 적용 가능성을 확인하였다. 본 연구는 목표에 의한 UI디자인을 가능하게 하고 사용성을 체계적이고 합리적인 방법으로 개선하고 관리하는데 도움을 줄 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

자전거도로의 인프라 데이터 구축을 위한 설계지표 연구 (A Study on Bikway Design Index for Digital Data Survey)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 자전거도로의 인프라 데이터 구축을 위한 지표를 선정하고자 함이며, 이를 위해 기존의 자전거도로와 관련된 설계기준 분석을 통해 지표를 도출하였다. 자전거도로의 설계요소가 제시되어 있는 중앙정부 및 지방정부의 설계기준 및 지침을 바탕으로 자전거도로의 속성데이터를 교통, 기하구조, 포장, 안전시설 및 부대시설 등 4개로 구분하여 분석하였다. 도출된 지표는 도로 및 교통분야 전문가들을 대상으로 FGI(Focus Group Interview)을 통한 브레인스토밍을 진행하였으며, 도출된 지표 이외의 추가적인 지표까지 의견을 수렴하였다. 최종적으로 필수 설계요소는 설계속도 및 도로유형, 포장유형, 교통안전시설 등 총 24개가 선정되었으며, 추가 설계요소는 버스/택시 정류장 및 미끄럼저항성(BPN) 등 6개가 선정되었다. 본 연구에서 제시된 24개의 자전거도로대장 지표는 법 개정이 이루어질 경우 반드시 포함되어야 하는 요소로 판단되며, 향후 도로 및 교통전문가 및 도로관리청 등의 의견수렴을 통해 추가적인 6개 지표의 포함여부를 판단할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

  • The safety of buildings is generally estimated by analyzing a plane frame ignoring a minor bending moment. In this paper, uncertainties of reinforced concrete shear wall subjected to a biaxial bending are considered. First, major parameters are selected from all parameters of general shear wall design to perform a reliability analysis in their practical ranges, means and standard derivations of selected design parameters for the reliability analysis are calculated by a data mining as a simulation method. The bi-section method is used to find inclined neutral axis and its limit state using MATLAB subjected to the concept on strength design method. The reliability index $\beta$ as a safety index is calculated based on AFOSM(Advanced First-Order Second Moment) method. Also, if target reliability index $\beta_T$ is decided by an engineer an amount of reinforcement can be calculated by subtracting the reliability index $\beta$ from the target reliability index $\beta_T$.

골프장 연못의 관리만족도를 위한 설계기준 (A Design Criteria for Pond Management at Golf Course in Terms of Satisfaction)

  • The purpose of this thesis is to search for appropriate design elements to manage ponds on golf courses. This paper showed that a variable, width, and volume have significant influence on satisfaction(Sig 0.001). This research investgated golf courses in Kyung-ki province. In short, we measured the physical design elements of ponds to bring out major factors which could determine satisfaction of golf courses for golfcourse manager(greenkeeper). The results between satisfaction and physical variable came out as follows; 1, Golfcourse managers(Green keepers) responded to questions that they were satisfied in only 29.9% of the ponds. We found that they considered management very highly. we could evaluated the value of necessity and importance are high, that is importance to manage ponds 2. Some physical design elements(volume, width) increased dependent variable(satisfaction) and others(length, area, circumference, index of shape) decreased dependent variable(satisfaction) 3. Volume has an influence on dependent variable more than depth on index of shape. 4 If the result of \`index of shape\` decreased, the result of \`management satisfaction\` would be high, and when volume is 8500ton∼17000ton, depth is 27m∼3.1m, \`management satisfaction\` would be high. The research findings can be used for planning and designing of golfcourses for designers, and by management for greenkeepers, and will provide pertinent design elements far design of golfcourses. We suggest that the interrelation between ponds and strategic play must be examined in future research.

  • 최근 LBS(location-based service)를 지원하기 위해, 공간 네트워크를 고려한 연구가 활발히 수행 중에 있다. 본 논문에서는 공간 네트워크 데이터베이스에서의 우수한 질의처리 성능을 위해, 공간 네트워크상에 존재하는 공간 네트워크 자체의 데이터, POI(point of interest), 이동객체 데이터를 위한 효율적인 저장 및 색인 구조를 설계한다. 이를 위해 첫째, 노드와 에지로 구성된 공간 네트워크 자체의 데이터를 관리하기 위해 공간 네트워크 파일 구조를 설계한다. 둘째, 식당, 호텔, 주유소와 같은 POI에 대한 효율적인 접근을 위해 POI 저장 및 색인 구조를 설계한다. 셋째 이동객체의 과거, 현재, 미래 궤적 정보를 효과적으로 관리하기 위해 시그니쳐 기반 저장 및 색인 구조를 설계한다. 마지막으로, 본 논문에서 설계한 저장 및 색인 구조가 기존의 공간 네트워크를 위한 저장구조 및 이동객체를 위한 궤적 색인구조 보다 성능이 우수함을 보인다.

코스피 200 변동성지수를 이용한 옵션투자 정보시스템의 개발 (Development of Options Trading System using KOSPI 200 Volatility Index)

  • KOSPI 200 index options market has the highest trading volume in the global options markets. The risk and return structure of options contracts are very complex. Volatility complicates options trading because volatility plays a central role in options pricing process. This study develops a trading system for KOSPI 200 index options trading using KOSPI 200 volatility index. We design a database system to handle the complex options information such as price, volume, maturity, strike price, and volatility using Oracle DBMS. We then develop options trading strategies to test how the volatility index is related to the prices of complicated options trading strategies. Back test procedure is presented with PL/SQL of Oracle DBMS. We simulate the suggested trading system using historical data set of KOSPI 200 index options from December 2008 to April 2012.

목구조 설계를 위한 확정론적 구조 설계법과 확률 기반 구조 설계법의 비교 연구 (Methods for wooden structural design- A comparative research between deterministic design and probability based design)

  • Probability based design(PBD)method has some advantages against current design methods. First, it can provide the quantitative values for the structural safety or capacity through the reliability index, $^{\beta}$. That presented the certainty on the corresponding structure for the designer or user, also that permitted the broad consideration in the safety of structures. In addition, it can give the quantitative lifetime of the related structure in the calculation process of target reliability index. Also, incidental economical efficiency can be expected because decrease of required structural material can be obtained by using the practical material data. Unlikely current deterministic structural design methods, main advantage is the reflection of real condition in the structural design process by application of the data with not small clear specimen but structural size material. Advanced countries, namely America, Canada, Europe, Australia and New Zealand already converted from allowable stress design(ASD) method to PBD method and used as a standard wooden structures code in the late 1980s and 1990s. Other domestic constructions standards such as the steel or concrete constructions accepted and used the PBD methods already. Accordingly, wooden structural design method also should be converted from deterministic ASD to probabilistic LRFD(Load and resistance factor design) in order to keep pace with worldwide demands for PBD. Hence, to suggest the reason of introduction the PBD in domestic wooden structural design and analysis, a brief example was used to show the different reliability index by using the different design methods. Definition, merits and demerits of deterministic ASD and probabilistic LRFD were followed. Also the three examples were presented to show the similarity and differences between ASD and LRFD. Finally, connection problems that might cause a disputation in wooden structural design and analysis were broadly examined.
