  • The purpose of this study was to verify the educational effects of career guidance classes, which are now included in regular course offerings by universities. To this end, the self-efficacy of college students regarding career decisions and their degree of career maturity was measured as effect variables. The subjects of the study included 33 sophomores who took 15 weeks of career guidance classes provided by four-year universities. Pretest-posttest design and the paired t-test were conducted for verifying the differences before and after taking career guidance courses. According to the results of the analysis, first, university students' self-efficacy in career decision-making was higher after taking the career guidance courses, indicating a statistically significant difference. Second, the t-value for the difference before and after taking the career guidance courses was indicating that there was a slight statistically significant improvement. These results are meaningful in that they proved that career guidance courses in higher education had the educational effects of improving self-efficacy in career path decisions and the career maturity of college students.

  • Guidance laws can be conceptually classified into three categories although their mathematical representations are various and different. In this paper, a generalized conceptual guidance law including the concepts of the above categories is proposed. The aim angle is introduced using the geometry of the collision triangle. The aim angle represents the arbitrary angle between the pursuit angle and the expected collision angle. The objective of the proposed guidance law is to make the aim angle zero asymptotically. It can be shown that the aim angle error response for the considered system is same as that of the first order system. When the autopilot of the missile system has slow dynamics, autopilot time lag may deteriorate the performance of the guidance law performance. In this case, another new guidance law compensating the autopilot time lag effect is proposed. To verify the proposed guidance laws, several numerical simulations are performed.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the characteristic analysis and to date guidance of European high heeled shoes in 18th century. The research was conducted by stylistic analysis of high heeled shoes from literature review and museums resource. 14 comparative study on shoe objects dating from 1600-1790 in the Museum at F.I.T., New York, Museum of Art, Boston and Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York were selected. The result of this study are as follows: (1) The origin and development of high heeled shoes were accomplished by protection, social status and exaggeration of body, decoration and fashion. (2) According to the comparative study of Museum objects and literature, characteristic analysis of high heeled shoes from 1700-20s, 1730-40s, 1750-60s, 1770-89 and 1890-1900 were accomplished. (3) Significant elements of European women's shoes from 18th century that aid dating are identified as the presence of white rand, shape of tongue, heel shape and height, latchat, toe shape, color and materials.

  • Recently it is tried to use load control for maneuver moving object. MIN design method proposed to solve control problem of nonlinear system using load concept. Min design method shows direct method for finding control value on the load control model. In this paper, is shown load control value for problem of line of sight on missile guidance. The load control value keep given velocity of missile and angle of attack for tracking target.

  • Expert systems which represent the appllication of artificial intelligence research are now nearly 20 years old. It is said that the present technology together with ever- increasing computing applicability of Combined Hypertext-Expert System Techniques to the design of reinforced concrete structures. Hypertext systems allow the user to control the system while expert systems alone don't give the user any control over the system. Therefore the combination of these two techniques, offered by KnowledgePro, may bring us closer to real user-expert communication. The system developed in this work offers information on design in general by reorganizing ACI Manual 318-89, detailed stress analysis and cross sectional design of simple PC/RC beams and optimum design of reinforced concrete building frames. The system also includes the author's earlier work on guidance to identify types of cracks in concrete. It is also includes the author's earlier work on guidance to identify types of cracks in concrete. It is also demonstrated how well and conveniently existing programs can be used by reorganizing the user manuals in the context of hypertext.

  • This paper proposes a novel method for shape design of a Bezier surface with given boundary curves. The surface is defined as the minimizer of an extended membrane functional or an extended thin plate functional under the guidance of a specified normal field together with an initial prescribed surface. For given boundary curves and the guiding normal field, the free coefficients of a Bezier surface are obtained by solving a linear system. Unlike previous PDE based surface modeling techniques which construct surfaces just from boundaries, our proposed method can be used to generate smooth and fair surfaces that even follow a specified normal field. Several interesting examples are given to demonstrate the applications of the proposed method in geometric modeling.

  • The railroad station building is a public facility that many people use. The disabled persons cannot move as freely as the ordinary persons do, so the facility shall be considered on this matter. We reviewed on the features of the retarded, visually handicapped and mentally retarded persons upon moving, and calculated the minimum space required in their move, access and use of the reachable space, and we also analyzed the design factors so that the prior guidance can be considered for the visually handicapped such as installation of guidance facility, change of finishing material and Braille points block handrail to avoid obstacles for the use of senses of touch, hearing and remained eyesight of the visually handicapped. In addition, we also analyzed the requests of general design totally to analyze and arrange the design factors with the thought that the facility for the handicapped shall be useful for the ordinary people as well as the handicapped.

  • Objective: Robot assisted gait training is implemented as part of therapy for the recovery of gait patterns in recent clinical fields, and the scope of implications are continuously increasing. However clear therapy protocols of robot assisted gait training are insufficent. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of robot-assisted gait training applied with guidance force on balance and gait performance in persons with hemiparetic stroke. Design: Two group pre-test post-test design. Methods: Nineteen persons were diagnosed with hemiparesis following stroke participated in this study. The participants were randomly assigned to the unilateral guidance group or bilateral guidance group to conduct robot-assisted gait training. All participants underwent robot-assisted gait training for twelve sessions (30 min/d, 3 d/wk for 4 weeks). They were assessed with gait parameters (gait velocity, cadence, step length, stance phase, and swing phase) using Optogait. This study also measured the dynamic gait index (DGI), the Berg balance scale (BBS) score, and timed up and go (TUG). Results: After training, BBS scores were was significantly increased in the bilateral training group than in the unilateral guidance group (p<0.05). Spatiotemporal parameters were significantly changed in the bilateral training group (gait speed, swing phase ratio, and stance phase ratio) compared to the unilateral training group (p<0.05). Conclusions: The results of this study suggest that robot-assisted gait training show feasibility in facilitating improvements in balance and gait performance for subacute hemiparetic stroke patients.

  • This paper present, the result of the guidance and control law for a course correction munitions(CCM) with 2sets of canards positioned in the rotating nose section. The nonlinear simulation model of the CCM was developed based on 7DOF equation of motion. The ability of correcting position was verified by open-loop control input with nonlinear model. The guidance and control command was constructed by reference trajectory which can be obtained with no control. Finally, the performance of the guidance and control law was evaluated through Monte-carlo simulation. The CEP(Circular Error Probability) was obtained by considering the errors in muzzle velocity, aerodynamic coefficient, wind, elevation and azimuth angle and density.

  • A guidance scheme for controlling the relative geometry of multiple flight vehicle formation flying is proposed. Each flight vehicle in the formation takes the roles of leader and follower simultaneously except for the formation leader. In this scheme, the flight commands for a leader are shared by all the followers and this leaders to a synchronized flight of all flight vehicles comprising the formation. Lyapunov stability theorem is used to obtain the guidance law. High fidelity nonlinear simulation results are presented to show the effectiveness of the proposed guidance law using a reconnaissance and surveillance mission example.
