In 1974 appeared the revision of Chapter 6 (which was then published as a sepprate monograph) of the Anglo-American Cataloging Rules (= AACR). The revision is the sum result of the incorporation of the many changes put forth in the International Standard Bibliographic Description for Monographic Publications (= ISBD (M)) including the prescribed punctuation and also the reorganization and and rearrangement, in much clearer and more accurate terms, of the previous 1967 AACR rules. The purpose of the present study is then to point out the major differences between the 1967 AACR rules and the revised 1974 AA CR rules (for Chapter 6) for the benefit of the cataloger in her actual task of descriptive cataloging. The article consists of three parts: (1) an examination of the Appendices, I, III, and V of the revised rules, which are necessary for understanding the revision of Chapter 6; (2) comparative analysis of the Seven Areas of the revised General rules commonly used in descritpive cataloging; and (3) comparative analysis of Special rules.

Purpose: The Purpose of this study was to analyze factors influencing the dependence of the elderly. Method: This research was designed as a descriptive study. The subjects were 103 elders living in Seoul. Data were collected from December 2004 through January 2005. The instrument used in this study was the elderly dependence scale developed by the Park (2004). Collected data were analyzed using SPSS 11.0 for Windows. Descriptive statistics, independent t-test, ANOVA and multiple regression were done. Results: In the results of regression, residence, education, vision and age were extracted as factors influencing the dependence of the elderly. The regression model explained 33% of the variance. Conclusion: Considering the results above, we need studies on the dependence of the elderly using more independent variables, on the changing pattern of dependence and influencing factors by longitudinal design, and on the elderly with functional limitations or cognitive impairment.

Purpose: This study was to examine factors related to depression of the elderly, and using them, to lay the ground for the development of nursing intervention. Methods: This was a descriptive correlation study. The subjects were 581 elders aged over 65 from senior centers in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlation coefficients, and multiple regression with SAS. Results: The predictors of depression in the elderly were quality of life, moral, life satisfaction, self-esteem, loneliness, nonformal support, and perceived health state. Among them, quality of life was the most significant predictor in the elderly. These factors explained 72.2% of the total variance. Conclusion: These findings suggest the need to develop nursing strategies for decreasing depression in the elderly. To decrease the depression of the elderly, the above-mentioned major influencing factors should be considered.

본 논문에서는 시각장애인의 TV 시청 보조기술인 화면해설방송(Descriptive Video Service)에 있어 다양한 편의 기술을 적용하여 저작자로 하여금 편리하고 경제적으로 화면해설방송물을 제작할 수 있도록 하는 저작 기술을 제안한다. 제안하는 방법은 화면해설 대본 작성의 편의를 위한 화면해설 삽입 추천 기술과 성우 음성 더빙을 대체할 수 있는 TTS 기반의 합성음성 기술, 또한 마스터 오디오와 합성음성 화면해설을 믹싱하기 위한 오디오 믹싱 기술을 포함한다. 마지막으로, 제안하는 기술의 구현 예를 제시한다.

This study investigated the relationship between depressive symptoms and interests of workers in their 30s to 40s. This study recruited 49 workers who fit the selection criteria. Descriptive, frequency, and regression analyses were performed. To describe participant characteristics and the classification of depression and interest, descriptive and frequency analyses were used. The effect of interest patterns on depressive symptoms was analyzed using a multiple regression analysis, specifying the significance level at 0.05. The results of this study showed that half of the respondents, who were in their 30s and 40s, experienced depression. In addition, this study indicated that interest of workers in their 30s to 40s in daily, cognitive, physical, and social activities in the present was lower than that in the past. This interest level affected depression in past and present interest (p<0.05). This study investigated the relationship between interest and depression of workers in their 30s to 40s and suggest that interest in various areas may help prevent depression.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the validity of an educational program developed for geriatric visiting nurses in Seoul by assessing their satisfaction level and level of learning goal achievement. Methods: This descriptive research study was conducted to develop, implement, and evaluate the educational program in accordance with the ADDIE Instructional System Model. Participants were 170 nurses hired for the 2016 Seoul Metropolitan Government visiting service for older people. Based on Kirkpatrick's Training Evaluation Model, reaction and learning evaluations were conducted during and after the educational program. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. Results: The developed educational program consisted of basic and professional courses. The evaluations showed that participants were highly satisfied with the lectures and field placement. Over 90% of the participants achieved the learning achievement goals. Conclusion: The program developed for geriatric visiting nurses in Seoul is considered a valid educational program because of the participants' high levels of satisfaction and academic achievement.

This study was designed to examine the affect health promotion behavior to emotional happiness for 20-30's in Korea through cross-sectional descriptive research. There were a total of 279 people who participated in this study, 198(71.0%) were males and 81(29.0%) were females. The data collection period was from December 1 to 15, 2018. The tools used to measure health promotion behaviors were HPB (Health Promotion Behavior) developed by Walker et al., and emotional happiness was PANAS (Positive and Negative Affect Scale) by Developed by Watson et al., All data was analyzed using SPSS 18.0 program. As a result of analysis, 62 (49.6%) were solving interpersonal problems and stress relief while drinking, and the people who ate twice a day were most frequent. In conclusion, health promotion behaviors have a strong correlation with emotional happiness. Based on the above results, it was suggested that the program of happiness for lining in the 20-30s age groups should strengthen the contents of health responsibility, guidance of substance abuse, formation of social relations and self actualization.

In the digital era, broadcasting plays a very large role as a means of communication, as it no longer merely provides information or entertainment media. Particularly in the case of the visually and hearing-impaired, broadcasting is the primary means of acquiring information, so its role as a public service needs to be expanded. The development of digital technology enables the quantitative expansion of traditional methods of disability broadcasting, i.e., closed caption, sign language, and descriptive video service, with an acceptable level of quality. In this study, we review the current trends of, and concerns related to, broadcasting services for disabled people, as well as technological trends, and proposals for increasing visibility and accessibility to broadcasting for hearing-impaired people.

Purpose: This study was conducted to determine the influence of ego-identity, parenting efficacy, and stress coping style on depression in mothers of toddlers. Methods: This was a cross-sectional, descriptive study. Data were collected from 164 mothers of toddlers, and analyzed using descriptive statistics, the t-test, analysis of variance, Pearson correlation coefficients, and multiple regression analysis using SPSS for Windows version 24.0. Results: The factors influencing depression in mothers of toddlers included ego-identity, economic status, and perceived health status. These variables explained 60.0% of depression in mothers of toddlers. Conclusion: Lower ego-identity was associated with more intense depression. Therefore, healthcare providers should develop intervention programs that can improve ego-identity to decrease depression among mothers of toddlers.

Purpose: This descriptive research study was influence of state of smoking, smoking beliefs and smoking cessation self-efficacy(SCSE) in a nursing college students. Survey design was adopted for 137 nursing college students in Gyeongbuk. Methods: Data were gathered from April 30 to May 14, 2018. Analyzed for descriptive statistics, independent t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation, and multiple regression. Results: There was a significant negative correlation between smoking belief and SCSE. The significant factors influencing SCSE were daily average amount of smoking, smoking motivation, and smoking beliefs. This model explained 58.2% of variance in SCSE. Conclusion: The results suggest that an intervention program is needed to reduce negative decreasing smoking beliefs and improving smoking attitudes in the nursing college students.
