Eight species of Depressariidae, , are reported for the first time from Korea. Depressria niphospyrphos Meyrick and D. basicosta Matsumura are newly synonymized with D. taciturna Meyrick. Agonopterix sapporensis (Matsumura) and A. ochroephala Saito are also synonymized with A. angeliocella(Hubner) respectively, and A. iharai Fujisawa with A. ocellana (Fabricius).

Three species of micromoths, Acria emarginella Donovan, 1806 (Peleopodidae), Yponomeuta cinefactus Meyrick, 1935 (Yponomeutidae) and Depressaria leucocephala Snellen, 1884 (Depressariidae) are reported for the first time from Korea. These species were collected at their larval stage on the host plants, and reared until their emergence. Images of larvae, pupae, and adults of all species are given, and the male or female genitalia are illustrated.

A depressariid moth, Agonopterix issikii Clarke, 1962, feeing on Orixa japonica was newly recorded from Korea. Agonopterix issikii can be characterized by the brownish forewing mottled dark brown and black scales that show a dentate line at the base and three minute blackish dots in triangular at the median, and the basally pale gray hindwing. Agonopterix issikii is similar to A. ocellana Fabricius in external appearance but can be distinguished by the presence of brownish forewing with three blackish triangular dots at the median. The male genitalia of Agonopterix issikii can be characterized by the elliptic gnathos, the triangular socius, the rectangular valva with rather straight cuiller, and the stout phallus with a short basal process and the absence of cornutus. The female genitalia can be characterized by the funnel-shaped ostium bursae, the long ducuts bursae, and the ovate corpus bursae with a rounded patch of signa. To date, 12 species of the genus Agonopterix have been recorded in Korea.

As a result of investigating biodiversity of lepidopteran fauna in Korea, six species of moths within five families are reported for the first time: Bucculatrix splendida Seksjaeva (Bucculatricidae), Caloptilia isochrysa (Meyrick) (Gracillariidae), Depressaria spectrocentra Meyrick (Depressariidae), Sergeya temulenta (Omelko) (Gelechiidae), Thiotricha attenuata Omelko (Gelechiidae) and Philenora latifasciata Inoue & Kobayashi (Erebidae). Among them, Philenora Rosenstock, 1885 and Sergeya Ponomarenko, 2007 are newly recorded genera for the country. The diagnoses, redescriptions, photographs of adult and genitalia, and DNA barcode information are provided in this study.
