트리에탄올아민을 착화제로 사용한 무전해 니켈도금욕에서의 석출물의 조성 및 기계적 성질 (Composition and Mechanical Properties of Nickel Deposit Obtained from Electroless Nickel Plating Bath Contained Triethanolamine as Complexing Agent)

  • The properties of the electroless nickel deposit mainly depends on the pH of the bath, the plating temperature, and the molar ratio of nickel to hypophosphite but they are also affected by its formulation and concentration of complexing and buffering agents. According to changeing the concentration of triethanolamine and boric acid, phosphorous contents, microsturcture, crystalline, hardness and wear resistance of deposits obtained from ammoniacal alkaline bath were investigated by EPMA, differential thermal analyser, X-ray diffractometer and wear tester. The results are as follows; (1) Increasing concentration of triethanolamine in the bath, the deposits is slightly inclined to increase its phosphorous content(3.7% P). (2) In the as-plated state, the deposits are not crystallized state but they are thermally unstable phase, and they are crystallized with precipitating $Ni_3P$ at 400$^{\circ}C$. (3) The deposit containing 2.3% P has higher hardness value in the as plated and heat treated state at below 300$^{\circ}C$ than those of 3.7% phosphorous deposit (1090Hk). But in the case of heat treating at 400$^{\circ}C$, the former has lower hardness value (1000Hk) than the latter and has remarkably Ni(III) orientation by heat treatment. (4) The 3.7% phosphorous deposit heat treated at 400$^{\circ}C$ has better wear resistance than hard chromium plating.

Development of geopolymer with pyroclastic flow deposit called Shirasu

  • The study presents a preliminary investigation on the applicability of Shirasu (a pyroclastic flow deposit characterized by high percentage of volcanic glass) in geopolymer. Comparative study on compressive strength and internal pore structure has been done between geopolymers with alkali activated Shirasu and fly ash as aluminosilicates. Mortar mix proportions are selected based on variations in ratio of alkaline activators to aluminosilicate and also on silica to alkali hydroxide ratio. From the experimental study, Shirasu geopolymer exhibited fairly good compressive strength. Mix proportion based on silica to alkali hydroxide ratio is observed to have profound effect on strength development.

한국 동남부지역 금·은 광상산 에렉트럼의 화학조성 (Chemical Variations of Electrum from Gold and/or Silver Deposits in the Southeast Korea)

  • Gold and/or silver mineralization in the southeast province, Korea, occurred in hydrothermal quartz vein that fills fracture zones in Cretaceous volcanic and sedimentary rocks of the Gyeongsang basin or granites and Precambrian gneiss. Most of the gold-silver-bearing veins in the province occur in Hapcheon, Suncheon and Haman-Gunbuk area where they are associated with Cretaceous Bulgugsa granites. On the basis of the Ag/Au ratio on amounts produced and ore grades, mode of occurrence, and associated mineral assemblages, hydrothermal Au-Ag deposits in southeast province, Korea, can be classified as follows: pyrite-type gold deposit (Group IIB, Samjeong and Sangchon deposits), antimony-type gold-silver deposit (Group IV, Gisan and Geochang deposits), and antimony-type silver deposit (Group V, Sanggo, Seweon, Seongju and Gahoe deposits). All of the gold-silver deposits in the province are generally characteristics of the gold-silver or silver-dominant type deposit which contains more silver-bearing minerals than those deposits in central Korea. The gold-silver mineralization in the deposits consist of two generation; the early characterized by gold precipitation and the late represented by silver-rich (as silver-bearing sulfosalts minerals) mineralization. All but one deposit (Samjeong deposit) having relatively lower Au content in electrum values between ${\approx}20$ and ${\approx}50$ atomic %. The mineralogical data on electrum-sphalerite and/or arsenopyrite geothermometry and fluid inclusion data indicate that the gold and silver mineralizations were occurred at temperatures of $190{\sim}280^{\circ}C$ and $150{\sim}180^{\circ}C$, respectively. These suggest that the gold-silver mineralization in the province occurred in the lower temperature and pressure conditions as epithermal-type hydrothermal vein deposit.

Modeling Of Critical Flux Conditions In Crossflow Microfiltration

  • In the process of crossflow microfiltration, a deposit of cake layer tends to form on the membrane, which usually controls the performance of filtration. It is found, however, that there exist a condition under which no deposit of cake layer is made. This condition is called the sub-critical flux condition, and the critical flux here means a flux below which a decline of flux with time due to the deposit of cake layer does not occur. In order to study the characteristics of the critical flux, a numerical model is developed to predict the critical flux condition, and is verified with experimental results. For development of the model, the concept of effective particle diameter is introduced to find a representative size of various particles in relation to diffusive properties of particles. The model is found to be in good match with the experimental results. The findings from the use of the model include that the critical flux condition is determined by the effective particle diameter and the ratio of initial permeate flux to crossflow velocity.

장침 전기자극 시술이 복부지방과 비만지표에 미치는 효과 (The Effect of Electroacupuncture on Abdominal Fat Deposit and Parameters for Obesity)

  • Objectives : This study was performed to evaluate the effect of the electroacupuncture therapy on abdominal fat deposit without diet, exercise and herbal medication. It was also designed to check the changes of free fatty acid in blood and catecholamine in urine to observe the mechanism of the electroacupuncture efficacy. Methods : 10 volunteers over 85 cm(male, 90 cm) in waist circumferences were recruited, and 10 electroacupuncture treatments were applied on their abdominal subcutaneous fat area for 4-5 weeks. We measured anthropometric factors, abdominal fat area with CT scanning, and the changes of free fatty acid in blood and catecholamine in urine before treatment and after the last treatment. Results : In this study, significant changes were shown in weight, waist circumference, waist/hip ratio, body mass index and body fat percent after the electroacupuncture therapy. There were also significant decreases of visceral fat area, visceral/subcutaneous fat area ratio in CT scanning. The blood level of free fatty acid and the urine level of catecholamine were increased after treatments, but the changes were not statistically significant. Conclusions : This study showed the efficacy of the electroacupuncture therapy on the abdominal fat deposit. But significant changes couldn't be found out in free fatty acid and catecholamine. Further studies that compensate for the limitations of this study are required to confirm the mechanism of the electroacupuncture efficacy.

Net Interest Margin and Return on Assets: A Case Study in Indonesia

  • The study aims to examine and analyze the factors that affect the return on assets (ROA) by placing net interest margin (NIM) as a moderating variable in influencing ROA. This research was conducted on 27 banks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the period 2015 to 2018 with a total sample data of 91. The data used is a combination of time series data and cross-section data. The sampling technique used was the purposive sampling method. The data analysis technique used was path analysis with multiple regression analysis technique. The results of the analysis showed that the capital adequacy ratio (CAR) and loan to deposit ratio (LDR) have a positive but insignificant effect on ROA. NIM as a moderating variable does not influence the impact of CAR on ROA. However, NIM as a moderating variable is able to influence the impact of LDR on ROA. From the results of this study, it is evident that the LDR will increase the ROA at banks that generate high NIM.

  • The boundary/finite element analysis for the seismic wave amplifications due to nonhomogeneous alluvial deposits was performed in this study. For numerical analysis, the homogeneous linear elastic soil half-space was modeled by using the 3-node isoparametric boundary elements and the inhomogeneous alluvial deposit was modeled by using the 8-node isoparametric finite elements. The two elements at interface were coupled together by the equilibrium condition of the tractions and the compatibility condition of the displacements. As a prarmetric variable, the incident angle and the dimensionsless frequency of the SH, P and SV-waves and the shear wave velocity ratio and the mass density ratio between the half-space and the alluvial deposit were selected.

「꺾기」의 경제학(經濟學)과 통화량(通貨量) 효과분석(效果分析) (Economic Rationale of Compensating Balance Requirements and Its Impact on Money Supply)

  • 본고(本稿)는 최근 논란이 되고 있는 금융기관(金融機關)들의 꺾기관행의 의의와 꺾기의 통화량효과(通貨量效果)를 분석함으로써 예대상계(預貸相計)를 통한 정부(政府)의 꺾기규제정책의 효과를 규명해 보고자 하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 꺾기란 여신(與信)(대출(貸出))에 대응해서 일정한 금액의 수신(受信)(예금(預金))을 요구하는 금융관행을 통칭하는데, 기존 문헌에 의하면 이윤극대화(利潤極大化)를 추구하는 금융기관이 정보(情報)의 비대칭성이나 예금(預金) 및 대출금리규제(貸出金利規制)와 같은 금융규제(金融規制) 등에 따른 금융시장의 불완전성을 극복하기 위해 도입하는 관행으로서 궁극적으로는 금융자원배분(金融資源配分)의 왜곡을 시정하는 데 기여하게 된다. 한편 꺾기의 통화량효과(通貨量效果)는 꺾기가 일국(一國)의 통화승수(通貨乘數)에 미치는 효과에 의존하게 되는데, 꺾기의 통화승수효과(通貨乘數效果)는 총대출 중 예금으로 회귀하는 적정예금회귀율(滴定預金回歸率)과 은행(銀行)들의 적정예금지급준비율(滴定預金支給準備率)에 미치는 꺾기의 효과에 의존하게 된다. 이론적으로 이들 효과의 방향은 불분명한데 실증분석결과에 의하면 우리나라의 경우 꺾기의 통화량효과(通貨量效果)는 유의성(有意性)이 없는 것으로 나타나고 있다. 따라서 이에 의하면 꺾기가 인위적으로 통화량(通貨量)을 증가시킬 것이라는 통념은 지지되지 않고 있을 뿐만 아니라, 예대상계정책(預貸相計政策)을 통해 통화량(通貨量)을 감소시킴으로써 여유대출자금(餘裕貸出資金)을 창출할 수 있을 것이라는 기대가 실현되기도 어렵다 할 것이다. 이에 따라 앞으로 예대상계(預貸相計)를 통화량관리(通貨量管理)의 방편으로 이용하고자 하거나 이를 통해 대출여유자금(貸出餘裕資金)을 창출하고자 하는 정책의 추진은 대단히 신중을 기하는 것이 바람직하다 할 것이다.

저축은행 재무건전성 결정요인에 대한 연구 (A Study on Determinants of Financial Soundness of Savings Banks)

  • 본 연구는 저축은행의 재무건전성에 미치는 결정요인들을 분석하였다. 특히 구조조정 이후 예대율이 재무건전성과 어떠한 상관관계를 가지는지 실증분석 하였다. 2014년 저축은행 구조조정이 마무리되면서 자산운용에 변화가 있었으며, 최근 또 다시 재무건전성을 우려하고 있는 상황에서 저축은행 재무건전성에 미치는 재무특성 변수에 대한 분석이 요구되는 시점이다. 분석결과를 요악하면, 저축은행의 예대율과 고정이하여신비율 간의 관계는 1% 유의수준에서 음(-)의 값을 가지는 것으로 나타났다. 즉 예대율이 높을수록 고정이하여신비율이 감소하는 것으로 나타났다. 예대율이 높다는 것은 대출재원으로 예금이외의 시장성 수신 등을 이용할 가능성이 높다는 것이다. 이는 저축은행의 입장에서 공격적인 대출포트폴리오를 구축하는 것이 쉽지 않을 가능성이 존재한 결과라고 할 수 있다. 즉 저축은행이 예수금을 통한 대출재원 조달이 어려울수록 위험회피성향이 강하게 나타날 수 있음을 시사하고 있다. 그 외 기업대출비중, 평균이자비용, 경제성장률이 높을수록 위험지표가 높게 나타났으며, 자산규모가 크고, 대출증가율이 높을수록 위험지표가 낮게 나타났다. 예대율 증가는 위험추구행위가 감소될 수 있으나 저축은행 재무건전성에 무조건 긍정적으로 작용함을 의미하는 것은 아니다. 따라서 예대율 규제를 통해 특정대출의 과도한 자산확대 유인을 감소하고, 대출 포트폴리오 관리를 통해 선제적 건전성 관리가 이루어져야 할 것이다.

전남(全南) 옥매산광상(玉埋山鑛床)의 열수변질작용(熱水變質作用) 및 광석광물(鑛石鑛物)에 대한 광물학적(鑛物學的) 연구 (Hydrothermal Alteration and Mineralogy of Alunite and Kaolinite in the Ogmae Deposit, Southwest Jeonnam)

  • The Ogmae alunite-kaolinite deposit occurs in acidic tuff, the Hwangsan Tuff, of upper Crataceous age in the Haenam volcanic field, SW Jeonnam. This deposit characterized by advanced argillic alteration formed $71.8{\pm}2.8{\sim}73.9{\pm}2.8$ Ma ago in very shallow depth environment with acid-sulfate solution. Wallrock alteration can be classified into four zones from the center to the margin of the deposit: alunite, kaolinite, illite, and silicified zone. The mineral assemblage in the alunite zone, ore zone, is alunite-quartz-pyritekaolinite. Consideration of stability relation of these minerals suggests that the maximum alteration temperature is estimated at about $250^{\circ}C$ with solution pH of 3 or below assuming that pressure does not exceed 0.3 Kb. Alunite occurs as two different types; replacement and vein-type deposit. The former one consists of fine grained alunite and the later one coarse grained and relatively pure alunite that formed by open space filling. Isomorphous substitution of Na for K in these two types of alunites range 0 to 40 %, indicating that Na/K ratio in the solution is spontaneously changed during the alteration process. Alunite which has higher Na substitution probably formed in an earlier stage while the solution sustain high Na/K ratio. K-Ar age of alunites indicate that the replacement alunite formed earlier($73.9{\pm}2.8Ma$) than the vein-type alunite($71.8{\pm}2.8Ma$). The ${\delta}^{34}S$ value of pyrite and alunite indicate that those minerals formed at isotopically nonequillibrium state. The ${\delta}^{16}O$ and ${\delta}D$ values, of kaolintics 5.0 to 9.0‰ and -54 to -99‰, respectively, indicate that those are formed by hydrothermal solution having magmatic origin which have been diluted by low ${\delta}D$ meteoric water.
