CT X선용(線用)필름의 특성(特性) 연구(硏究) (A Study on the Characteristics of Computerized Tomographic X-Ray Film)

  • This thesis compared and analyzed the characteristics, centered on a characteristic curve, about X-ray computerized tomographic film generally used in Korea recently. The results were as follows: 1. Maximum gradient (gamma) was film A-2.19, film B-2.00, film C-1.92. 2. Latitude was confined within the limits of density 0.6-2.0 in all. 3. When we changed window center from 0 to 40, the difference of density, which was in 1.0, was film A-0.12, film B-0.16, fil m C-0.14. 4. When we changed window width from 0 to 500, the difference of density, which was in 1.0, was film A-0.06, film B-0.08, film C-0.05. 5. In the case of window width 50 and window center 20, latitude was 0.5-2.0, 0.5-2.2, 0.5-1.9 and gamma value was 1.74, 1.82, 1.72 respectively, 6. In the case of window width 80 and window center 30, latitude was 0.6-2.2, 0.6-2.3, 0.8-2.2 and gamma value was 2.0, 2.13, 1.95 respectively.

Status of the Red-Listed Plant Species, Smilax wightii A. DC. in Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve, the Western Ghats, India

  • The rare endemic plant, Smilax wightii, is generally distributed in shola forests at high altitudes in Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve, the Western Ghats, southern India. To determine the ecological status of the species, we surveyed 11 major shola forests in that region. S. wightii has a limited distribution in all sholas (frequency value of < 13%). The density of the species is generally around $15/100\;m^2$ in the sholas except in Thiashola where it occurred at a density of 40 individuals/$100\;m^2$. The density of S. wightii was generally greater in the margins of the shoals, while the interior forests contained fewer individuals per unit area. The basal cover occupied by this species ranged between 2246 and $3144\;mm^2/100\;m^2$. The importance value index for S. wightii was >2 in all shoals, which indicates that the species occupies an important position in the lower stratum of shola forests of Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve.

Thermal Emissivity of Nuclear Graphite as a Function of Its Oxidation Degree (1) -Effects of Density, Porosity, and Microstructure-

  • Thermal emissivity of commercial nuclear graphites (IG-110, PCEA, IG-430 and NBG-18) following changes in oxidation degrees were examined. Specimens were oxidized to 0%, 5%, and 10% in air flow of 5l/min at $600^{\circ}C$ using a furnace, and the thermal emissivities were measured using an infrared spectrum analyzer. The measuring temperatures for the thermal emissivity were $100^{\circ}C$, $200^{\circ}C$, $300^{\circ}C$, $400^{\circ}C$ $500^{\circ}C$. Also density and porosity of the specimens were observed to compare with thermal emissivity. Results showed that emissivity increased with oxidation, and the 10% oxidized NBG-18 showed the highest emissivity (0.890) which value is larger for 24% than the value of as-received specimen. Investigation of factors affecting the emissivity revealed that increases in the surface roughness and porosity due to oxidation were responsible for the increase in emissivity after oxidation.

  • Samples of $Nb/Al-AlO_x/Nb$ tunnel junction with the size of $50 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ {\times} 50 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$$ were fabricated by using self-aligning and reactive ion etching technique In the high quality samples, the $V_m$ value (the product of the critical current and subgap resistance measured at 2 mV) was 34 mV at the critical current density of $J_c: 500 A/cm^2 and the V_g$ value (the gap voltage) was 2.8 mV. For the higher $J_c$ sample, voltage fluctuation at the gap voltage was observed. The $V_m and J_c$ values for this sample were 8 mV and 900 A/cm$^2$, respectively. Also, the relationship between critical current density $J_c$ and specific normal conductance $G_s$ of the junctions with $J_c$ in the range of 28 A/cm$^2$~940 A/cm$^2$was investigated.

$H_{2}/N_{2}$ 혼합가스 혼합가스 소결분위기 변화가 사출성형한 Fe-Ni 혼합분말의 탄소량과 기계적 성질에 미치는 영향 (Effect of $H_{2}/N_{2}$ Sintering Atmosphere on the Carbon Content and Mechanical Properties in the Metal Injection Molding of Fe-Ni Mixed Powder)

  • The effect of$H_{2}/N_{2}$gas sintering atmosphere on the carbon content and mechanical properties during the metal injection molding process of carbonyl iron-nickel powder was studied. The carbon content of the specimen after debinding in the pure$N_{2}$atmosphere appeared 0.78 wt%. After showing the maximum value of 1.48 wt.% in the debinding atmosphere of 10%$H_{2}/N_{2}$gas mixture, the carbon content of the debinded specimen decreased gradually with increasing the$H_2$content in the$H_{2}/N_{2}$gas mixture. The carbon contents of the sintered specimen were 0.46~0.63wt% in Na gas atmosphere, while they appeared extremely low above 40%$H_{2}/N_{2}$gas atmosphere. The relative sintered density increased abruptly from 88~90% to 93~96% with the addition of Ni, while the density nearly unchanged above 2% Ni addition. The sintered density increased with increasing the fraction of$H_{2} in H_{2}/N_{2}$gas mixture. Tensile strength and hardness increased, and elongation decreased with increasing carbon and Ni content. In spite of high carbon content of 0.63 wt%, the superior elongation value of 10% was shown.

3차원 유한요소해석을 이용한 종자게형 진공 인터럽터의 특성고찰 (A Study of the Characteristics on the Vacuum Interrupter with Axial Magnetic Field Type using 3 Dimension Finite Element Analysis)

  • This paper deals with the distribution characteristics of the current density and axial magnetic flux density on the vacuum interrupter with axial magnetic field type using 3 dimension finite element analysis. An axial magnetic field parallel to the current flow in the arc column can improve the current breaking capacity of vacuum interrupter by affecting the arc mode. The axial magnetic flux density on the contact electrode surface is analyzed by inputting external current as a function of the transient time for sine half wave. And it also is analyzed within the gap distance of the contact electrode. The peak value of current but is decreased with the descending current on the contact electrode surface and within the gap distance of the contact electrode. The residual magnetic field is generated on the contact electrode surface and within the gap distance in the instant of zero current, which is due to the influence of eddy currents. The phase shift due to eddy currents, defined as time difference between the maximum value of current and axial magnetic field, is about 1ms in the center point of gap distance.

  • Crystal structure and microwave dielectric properties of $Ba(Mg_{1/3-x}Nb_{2/3})O_3$ (BMN) ceramics were investigated. $Ba(Mg_{1/3}Nb_{2/3})O_3$ has the 1:2 ordered hexagonal structure. The 1:2 ordering and relative density of specimens increased with small Mg deficiency(x). The variation of Q-value with Mg deficiency is very similar to that of 1:2 ordering and relative density. The highest $Q{\times}f_0$ achieved in this investigation is about 96,000 for $Ba(Mg_{1/3-0.02}Nb_{2/3})O_3$. The improvement of Q-value with Mg-deficiency is related to the increase of degree of ordering and relative density of the specimen.

고밀도 폴리에틸렌으로 접착한 합판의 접착성질과 해부학적 관찰 (Adhesion Characteristics and Anatomic Scanning of Plywood Bonded by High Density Polyethylene)

  • This study was carried out to discuss feasibility of high density polyethylene(HDPE) as a new substitute for the conventional adhesives in plywood manufacture. Plywood was composed of radiata pine(Pinus radiata) and Malas(Homallium feotidium) veneers and bonded by HDPE. Adhesion characteristics and anatomical scanning has been examined through tensile-shear strength test and scanning electron microscopy(SEM). The results are as follows; 1. Optimum loading quantity was 15g/$(30.3{\times}30.3)cm^2$, and tensile-shear strength increased with the increase of loading quantity. 2. Even at the hot pressing time of 1 minute, tensile-shear strength met the value of KS(over the 7.5kgf/$cm^2$), and tensile-shear strength increased with the increase of hot pressing time. 3. Plywood composed of veneer at moisture content of 19.6% showed similar tensile-shear strength to that at air conditioned moisture content of 11.4%. 4. Under the same condition of hot pressing time, tensile-shear strength of plywood bonded by HDPE met the KS value of boil and wet test and proved the same group as phenol formaldehyde adhesive. 5. HDPE films showed mechanical adhesion through penetration into the lathe check and ray of veneer.

창란젓갈의 포장에 관한 연구 -2. 파우치 포장 젓갈의 품질유지기한- (A Study in Packing of Changran-Jeotgal -2. Shelf-life a Plastic Pouch racking of Changran-Jeotgal-)

  • 신제조기법과 재래식방법으로 제조된 창란젓갈을 시험구와 대조구로하여 이들을 파우치 포장하여 각각 10, 20 및 $30^{\circ}C$에 저장하면서 품질변화를 조사하였다. 창란젓갈의 파우치포장 low density polyethylene (PE), poly-ethylene terephthalate/polyethylene/linear low density polyethylene (PET), polyethylene/nylon/linear low density polyethylene (PE/Ny)에서 시험구와 대조구 모두 저장온도가 높을수록 파우치 포장의 $CO_2$, 발생과 부피 팽창속도가 가속화되었으며, 부피팽창 속도는 PE/Ny, PET, PE 순으로 빨랐다. 한편, pH, L값, VBN의 변화속도는 PE가 가장 빨랐으며 그 다음이 PET, PE/Ny의 순으로 나타났으며, 저장 전 구간에 있어서 시험구가 대조구에 비하여 변화속도가 완만하였다. 포장재별로 각 온도에서 저장한 창란젓갈의 생균수변화를 조사한 결과 온도가 높을수록, 대조구가 시험구보다 생균수 증가가 빨랐다. 일반적으로 젓갈 포장에 사용되고 있는 PE의 경우 PET나 PE/Ny에 비하여 필름의 가스투과성이 높아 호기성 미생물의 증식을 촉진시키는 것으로 나타나 PET나 PE/Ny 파우치 포장으로 대체되어야 함을 알 수 있었다. 창란젓갈 파우치포장의 관능검사에서 상품성이 유지되는 품질기준을 6.0 이상으로하여 품질유지기한을 설정하였을 때, $10^{\circ}C$에서PE, PET, PE/Ny 포장의 품질유지 기한은 대조구가 20일, 40일, 40일인데 비하여 시험구는 40일, 50일, 60일로 나타나 10$\~$20일 정도 연장되었다. 따라서 이상의 결과를 바탕으로 하여 창란젓갈 저장시 품질측정변수에 대한 상관관계를 조사한 결과 파우치포장에서는 파우치의 부피, pH, L값, 휘발성염기질소 (VBN), 관능검사 등이 상관관계가 높아 젓갈 포장에서 품질지표항목으로 이용할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

게껍질 Chitin 및 Chitosan의 소화관내 기능성에 관한 in vitro 연구 (In vitro Study on the Functionality in Digestive Tract of Chitin and Chitosan from Crab Shell)

  • 반응 조건을 달리하여 게껍질에서 chitin을 추출하고 이를 탈아세틸화하여 chitosan을 제조하였으며, 이들의 물리, 화학적 특성과 소화관내 기능성을 in vitro법으로 실시하였다. 이들 chitin질의 bulk density는 $127{\sim}208\;mg/ml$, 점도는 0.1% chitin의 경우 $80{\sim}581\;cP$, 0.5%, chitosan은 $80{\sim}3,670\;cP$로 다양한 수치를 나타냈으며, chitosan의 탈아세틸화도는 $81{\sim}93%$로 비교적 높았다. Chitosan 제조시의 알칼리 농도와 반응 온도가 일정할 때 반응 시간이 경과할수록 탈아세틸화도는 증가하였고, 점도는 감소하는 경향을 보였다. Chitin질의 보수력은 온도 상승에 따라 약간 상승하였고, $37^{\circ}C$에서 chitosan D가 가장 높았으며, bulk density가 낮을수록 높은 보수력을 나타냈다. Glucose 흡수 억제 효과는 bulk density가 낮고 보수력이 큰 chitin길이 더 컸고 chitosan D가 가장 높은 38%를 나타냈다. Chitin질의 bile acid 흡수 억제 효과는 투석 1시간 후에 $15{\sim}34%$를 나타냈고, pectin은 39%, cellulose는 9%를 나타냈으며 chitosan D는 3% 농도에서 34%의 가장 높은 억제 효과를 나타냈다.
