확률밀도함수를 고려한 서식처 적합도 지수에 의한 피라미 생태유량 산정 (Estimation of ecological flow rate for Zacco platypus based on habitat suitability index considering probability density function)

  • 본 연구에서는 확률밀도함수의 서식처 적합도 지수를 사용하여 도심하천구간과 자연하천구간에서 유량점증방법론(Instream flow Incremental Methodology, IFIM)을 토대로 피라미 서식처의 생태유량을 모의하였다. 이와 같은 방법을 적용하기 위하여 본 연구에서는 PHABSIM 모형을 사용하였다. 본 연구에서는 서식처 적합도 지수(Kang, 2010)를 기초로 확률밀도함수의 매개변수를 조정하여 확률밀도함수의 서식처 적합도 지수를 개발하여 생태유량을 분석하였다. 그 결과, 도심하천구간에서는 정규분포가 자연하천구간에서는 2변수 log-pearson 분포가 Kang (2010)의 생태유량에 가장 근접하는 경향을 보였다. 확률밀도함수에 의한 서식처 적합도 지수와 하천구간별로 생태유량을 모의하여 확률론적 방법을 적용한 생태유량 산정기법을 제안하였다.

Performance of SC-FDE System in UWB Communications with Imperfect Channel Estimation

  • Single carrier block transmission with frequency domain equalization(SC-FDE) has been shown to be a promising candidate in ultra-wideband(UWB) communications. In this paper, we analyze the performance of SC-FDE over UWB communications with channel estimation error. The probability density functions of the frequency domain minimum mean-squared error(MMSE) equalizer taps are derived in closed form. The error probabilities of single carrier block transmission with frequency domain MMSE equalization under imperfect channel estimation are presented and evaluated numerically. Compared with the simulation results, our semi-analytical analysis yields fairly accurate bit error rate performance, thus validating the use of the Gaussian approximation method in the performance analysis of the SC-FDE system with channel estimation error.

236U accelerator mass spectrometry with a time-of-flight and energy detection system

  • A time-of-flight and energy (TOF-E) detection system for the measurement of 236U accelerator mass spectrometry (AMS) has been developed to improve the 236U/238U sensitivity at Micro Analysis Laboratory, Tandem accelerator (MALT), The University of Tokyo. With observing TOF distribution of 235U, 236U and 238U, this TOF-E detection system has clearly separated 236U from the interference of 235U and 238U when measuring three kinds of uranium standards. In addition, we have developed a novel method combining kernel-based density estimation method and multi-Gaussian fitting method to estimate the 236U/238U sensitivity of the TOF-E detection system. Using this new estimation method, 3.4 × 10-12 of 236U/238U sensitivity and 1.9 ns of time resolution are obtained. 236U/238U sensitivity of TOF-E detection system has improved two orders of magnitude better than that of previous gas ionization chamber. Moreover, unknown species other than uranium isotopes were also observed in the measurement of a surface soil sample, which has demonstrated that TOF-E detection system has a higher sensitivity in particle identification. With its high sensibility in mass determination, this TOF-E detection system could also be used in other heavy isotope AMS.

  • In these days, customers require high-quality, high-performance, high-ride comfort for Automobile and then the automotive manufacturers concentrated on study of electrical, high-performance, low-cost of parts and sub-parts. In this paper, for ride comfort estimation PSD(Power Spectral Density) of acceleration at eight test point are measured, and then are calculated with new index of ride comfort. The new index of ride comfort developed for optimal design, real test, applied the actual. It can apply for various fields.

개별 차량의 비전 센서 기반 차두 시간 데이터를 활용한 경험적 교통류 모형 추정 방법론 (An Estimation Methodology of Empirical Flow-density Diagram Using Vision Sensor-based Probe Vehicles' Time Headway Data)

  • 본 연구에서는 개별 차량의 차두 시간(time headway) 정보를 활용하여 고속도로 환경에서의 단일 링크에 대한 교통류 모형(flow-density diagram)을 추정하는 방법에 대해 탐구한다. 차두 시간 기반 교통류 모형(empirical flow-density diagram) 연구를 위해 차량용 비전 센서가 탑재된 실험 차량에서 9개월동안 수집된 데이터의 전처리 및 GIS 기반 맵 매칭을 수행한다. 기존의 교통류 모델식을 활용한 차두 시간 기반 교통류 모형(empirical flow-density diagram)의 검증을 위해, 차량 검지기 기반의 VDS(Vehicle Detection System) 데이터(loop detection traffic data) 기반 교통류 모형과 결과 비교 및 분석을 수행한다. 차두 시간 기반 교통류 모형의 추정 오차 원인을 분석하기 위해 각 교통류 모형의 차두 시간 및 차두 거리의 확률분포와 단위시간 교통량과 차량 밀도의 표준편차를 활용하였다. 분석 결과 링크 내 제한된 샘플 차량 대수 및 수집 데이터에 대한 주행환경 편향성이 추정 오차의 주된 요인이며. 이에 따른 추정 오차 개선을 위한 방법에 대해 제안한다.

  • 신뢰성 해석 및 신뢰성기반 최적설계는 불확실성을 고려한 확률변수를 입력 값으로 요구하며, 확률변수는 모수적 비모수적 통계모델링 방법을 사용하여 확률분포함수의 형태로 정량화 된다. 신뢰성 해석과 같은 통계적 해석은 입력되는 확률분포함수의 특성이 결과값에 영향을 미치게 되며, 확률분포함수는 통계모델링 방법에 따라 다른 형태를 가지게 된다. 본 연구에서는 모수적 통계모델링 방법인 순차적 통계모델링 방법과 비모수적 방법인 커널밀도추정을 사용하여 데이터의 개수에 따른 통계모델링의 결과를 분석하였다. 또한 수치예제를 통해 두 가지 기법에 따른 신뢰성 해석의 결과를 분석하였고, 데이터의 개수에 따른 적절한 기법을 제안하였다.

Probabilistic Power Flow Studies Incorporating Correlations of PV Generation for Distribution Networks

  • This paper presents a probabilistic power flow (PPF) analysis method for distribution network incorporating the randomness and correlation of photovoltaic (PV) generation. Based on the multivariate kernel density estimation theory, the probabilistic model of PV generation is proposed without any assumption of theoretical parametric distribution, which can accurately capture not only the randomness but also the correlation of PV resources at adjacent locations. The PPF method is developed by combining the proposed PV model and Monte Carlo technique to evaluate the influence of the randomness and correlation of PV generation on the performance of distribution networks. The historical power output data of three neighboring PV generators in Oregon, USA, and 34-bus/69-bus radial distribution networks are used to demonstrate the correctness, effectiveness, and application of the proposed PV model and PPF method.

  • Defect size distribution is a probability density function for the defects that occur on wafers or glasses during semiconductor/LCD fabrication. It is one of the most important information to estimate manufacturing yield using well-known statistical estimation methods. The defects are detected by automatic optical inspection (AOI) facilities. However, the data that is provided from AOI is not accurate due to resolution of AOI and its defect detection mechanism. It causes distortion of defect size distribution and results in wrong estimation of the manufacturing yield. In this paper, I suggest a size conversion method and a maximum likelihood estimator to overcome the vague defect size information of AOI. The methods are verified by the Monte Carlo simulation that is constructed as similar as real situation.

  • This paper presents an estimation method of national wind resource potential using a national and GIS(Geographical Information System). The wind resource potential is classified into theoretical, geographical and technical potentials and each category narrows down the previous definition by excluding impossible area to be developed as a wind farm using GIS datasets for onshore and offshore. As a basic unit of wind energy potential at a certain area, API(Average Power Intercepted) is calculated from WPD(Wind Power Density) given by a national wind map which is established by numerical wind simulation, so that a logical and relatively accurate potential estimation is possible comparing with other methods based on a field measurement interpolation which is inevitable to avoid critical assumptions.

  • In this paper, the iron loss was calculated using estimated iron loss coefficient at 650W Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor(IPMSM) and 250W IPMSM. The iron loss coefficients was estimated different according to electrical steel material used to stator and rotor core in motor. Aspect of The rotating flux field and alternating flux field was confirmed by magnetic field behavior and harmonic analysis in stator core, the iron loss was calculated using flux density by Finite Element Method(FEM) and estimated coefficients by iron loss coefficient estimation proposed in this paper. The iron loss experiment was performed for verified to iron loss calculation, and the iron loss coefficients were verified by comparison of iron loss calculation value and experimental value.
