Purpose - This study was intended to find the selection attribution factors and service satisfaction determinants of third party logistics suppliers in Dongdaemun wholesale market. Research design, data, and methodology - A questionnaire survey was performed, and the retailers and wholesalers in Dongdaemun wholesale market were asked to fill in it. Company employees using third party logistics service were selected by a random sampling method. Results - It is easy for both retailers and wholesalers to use third party logistics service. The logistics companies in Dongdaemun wholesale market have paid more heed to the security of freight and the operability. That is, the freight safety and operating service are the most important factors in selecting third party logistics suppliers, and they both have a close relationship with user satisfaction. There is no relation between service level and recognition in selection factors of third party logistics suppliers. All the responsiveness, operability and informativeness of third-party logistics providers has a significant relationship with user satisfaction. Conclusions - Third party logistics service is entirely different from the existing delivery or transport service. The most market vendors' wish for third party logistics suppliers is the stability of freight and robust operating service. They also demand the responsiveness for special or emergency situation with having information strength.
Purpose - Previous studies examined effects of sharing economy in the fields such as accommodation and automobile sector, while there are lack of researches in the field of skill-sharing economy. By classifying skill-sharing into general and special skill-sharing, this study explored effects of variables such as transaction utility, social utility, sustainability utility, emotional utility, economic utility, and trust utility, on attitudes, intention, satisfaction, and loyalty of demand (i.e., customers) and supply (i.e., providers) sides, potential, and actual customers. Research design, data, and methodology - Data were collected via both online and offline surveys. This study applied factor analysis and multiple regression analysis for findings. Results - Results show that utilities for general suppliers' skill-sharing are significant than other cases. Among utilities, this study found that trust utility shows significant for the cases of special customers', general suppliers' and special suppliers' potential skill-sharing. The results implies that trust is crucial in the transaction of the sharing economy. Conclusions - Enhanced managerial systems help resolve issues on the sharing economy. This study provides implications what are positive effects of skill-sharing economy and recommends proper establishment of the sharing economy.
As aging is notably developed, the elderly find it challenging to get around in housing chosen in their midlife, and seek for an alternative residential setting enabling them to continue the independent living. This research focuses on the residential mobility of the elderly who have recently moved to senior housing, and also is to investigate their residential satisfaction at previous residence. As a cross-sectional study, the research adopts the self-administered questionnaire survey. The questionnaires are mailed out, and one out of the two responses is retrieved. To investigate the residential mobility of the elderly, the research model is constructed based upon Morris and Winter's Housing Adjustment Theory. The result shows that the residential mobility of elderly from previous residence is a need-based choice, want-driven behavior and demand-oriented decision to maintain continued independence and utilize resources available during the aging process. Also, it is found that the vast majority of both co-op and rental households are satisfied with their previous residential environment. The previous residential satisfaction of co-op elderly is significantly influenced by household and housing characteristics, housing norm status, and environmental needs for independent living while only housing norm status is a significant predictor to explain the previous residential satisfaction of rental elderly.
Purpose - In endless competition, companies pursue cost reduction and work efficiency. So, entrepreneurs try to increase job intensity, which may lead to job stress and high turnovers because of job burnout. But, Information systems are acknowledged as a work support tool that secures work convenience and the productivity of employees. In this study, we aimed to confirm the effects of information systems in reduing the work overload of employees in a human resource intensive industry. Research design, data and methodology - This is based on the job demands-resources model, conducting an empirical analysis of surveys given to hospital employees working in a human resource intensive industry. Results - The research revealed that information systems reduced the work overload of employees in a human resource intensive industry. Conclusion - This study confirmed the effects of information systems as a job resource based on JD-R theory, and presentation of empirical results indicated that information systems alleviate employee job overload and increases job satisfaction in the medical services industry. In the medical services industry, using electronic health record system decreases in work overload, which results in employees gaining time for self-development and time management, reducing job stress, and leading to job satisfaction.
Hospitals tend to provide uniformed service to patients despite their various demands stemming from the severity of disease stages or the uncertainties in information of treatment stages. To identify service factors and provide effective contextually aware service models that patients demand depending on their evolving circumstances, the study conducted a survey on service quality based on importance and satisfaction of cancer patients. The study surveyed 286 patients and caregivers on importance and satisfaction through a questionnaire comprising of 17 questions at the outpatient clinic of cancer centers of university hospitals in 5 cities. Based on the risks of the disease and uncertainties in information of treatment stages, the cancer patients were grouped into diagnosis stage; low-risk treatment stage; high-risk treatment stage; stabilization stage. Depending on the patient's situation, the importance and satisfaction of service factors were ranked. These factors were categorized into 4 groups from a managerial perspective into 'keep it up area', 'focus here area', 'low priority area', 'overdone area'. This study provides an effective medical service model that can accommodate patients based on management areas of cancer patients.
The food service industry has grown up without an affection of economic collapse, and its kinds are being diversified and focused on many different aspects from physical taste to many other elements such as atmosphere, service quality, sanitation and etc.. Now it appeals to even familiarity. These Facts are well ref looted to Family Restaurant which has not been very popular so far, but now it takes its space in the market, and its management system is being introduced to other countries. The purpose of this study is to see how to satisfy them to make maximum business profit, and one possibility is "incentive". To accomplish research, theoretical and practical studies have been done and surveys have taken placed for substantial studies. The subjects were limited to employees in Family Restaurant in Seoul from February 20th to March 20th, 2001. Data, reliableness, and propriety were analyzed by SAS(Statistical Analyzed System). Sampling mode was randomness, and validation mode was limited to 223 papers. The followings are the results of this analysis First, Satisfaction of incentive were made by stability, impartiality and suitability regardless difference on companies, ages, departments, and authority of an employees. Second, Satisfaction on incentive for employees in Family Restaurants were not well received. Although these necessary demand, there is not yet incentive system operation to most of business. Especially, it is not even studied on Family Restaurants. This study should have been studied on more customers and spotted employees to be objective. It is strongly recommended to do this study without limitation and further studies is considered on this subjects.
The purpose of this study was to compare working mothers' sftisfaction with child day care service between those using child care centers in their workplace and those using child care centers close to their houses. their demand for better child care service was also assessed. The study findings can be used as basic information for establishing alternative solutions and developing child day care programs able to meet the different needs of mothers with preschool children. The results from this study were as follows. Firstly, there was a significant difference in satisfaction levels associated with the quality of child day care centers (programs and safety) between the two groups. There were no significant differences in satisfaction levels associated with demographic factors. Secondly, while working mothers using child care centers in their workplace were most concerned with the quality of the center, the other group of working mothers was most concerned with the distance between their houses and the child care centers. Thirdly, both groups preferred the idea that the government make child care subsidies. Thus study results suggest the need for establishing systematic efforts to increase child care services in workplaces and communities and eventually support working mothers.
Although consumer needs for better products force manufactures to put emphasis on design, often development of a product has been done without the formal process to consider consumer needs. In order to identify the implicit needs of customers and the areas of potential demand on a product, several analysis scheme such as QFD (Quality Function Deployment) has been developed. QFD, also known as the House of Quality, is the efficient tool ever created to tie product and service design decisions directly to customer wants and needs, i.e. VoC (Voice of Customer) To utilize this tool on a product design, first of all, the consumers attributes and the engineering characteristics must be exactly investigated. However there were only few studies about them on shoe design. Hence in this paper we developed an innovative framework for shoes design based on QFD. As a result, we uncovered 29 dominant human satisfaction dimensions as the consumers attributes for customer-oriented quality evaluation of a comfortable shoes. Here, 29 human satisfaction dimensions for a shoe design were identified as the dimensions that represent the human sensitivity and psychological feeling on comfortable shoes. Also, we proposed 60 human interface elements as the engineering characteristics. The relationships between human satisfaction dimensions and human interface elements were investigated. This study will help the designers and manufacturers clarify the conceptual and abstract aspect of the design evaluation by proposing a more systematic and process-oriented method.
The demand for apartments is decreasing as the condition of housing market in Korea has changed. Therefore, construction companies have to understand the needs of the customers to win over them. It is important for construction companies not only to supply customers with high quality apartments but also to provide them high service quality for a long range plan. One of the important service of the construction companies is after-service(A/S) that includes the defect management. The inhabitants' unsatisfactory defect management will worse the image of the company among the future customers. Also A/S is one of the best way for the company to create good impression to the customers. so the defect management carried out by construction firms has to satisfy the inhabitants. In this study. the degree of association between inhabitants satisfaction and the company's image is proved and the factors of the inhabitants dissatisfaction in defect-management are presented. The major factor that causes dissatisfaction is the long service time of the defect management. Therefore, shortening the time of process taken to deal with the defects would allow construction outfits to satisfy their customers effectively and to be more competitive ones in the Korean apartment market.
Objectives : The purpose of the study was to explorer the extent to which the dental hygienist demand for higher education. Methods : This study was done using the statistical package for social sciences 12.0 (SPSS 12.0) for windows. The results was as followed. Results : Participation continuing education 42.3%, do not attend the continuing education 57.7%. General characteristics of respondents according to education after graduation, in recognition of the existence, winning less than five years if is the most was higher with 42.9%, to 50.5% in the current academic year graduated colleges is the most highly(p<0.05). Through continuing education, improve 'self-regard and identity' $3.12{\pm}.49$ was the highest. General characteristics of subjects with continuing education in accordance with the highest satisfaction of the relevant item 'future work areas hope' has been investigated(p<0.05). Conclusions : Dental hygienists as one of professionals taking responsibility and duties on oral health need to make effort to satisfy. While they show infinite ability, possible as they can and overcome given environment and situation.
