비접촉 와전류 제동기의 설계에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Design of Touch Free Eddy-Current Brake)

  • This paper deals with the design of a touch free eddy-current brake for high speed transportation systems by using 2-dimensional Finite Element Method (2-D FEM). The eddy current brake systems have to equipped with maximum braking force and deceleration at the given volume or mass, high braking force at small rate, attraction forces as small as possible and stable construction. The parameters, such as the number of pole, electric ampere-turns and slot width have influence on these braking characteristics. For the magnet to satisfy above-mentioned performance in high speed, the braking performance according to variation of the parameters are analyzed by the 2-D FEM. In addition, the magnet stack width is determined from equivalent stack width that is calculated by solution of the Field with scalar potential. From these results, the magnet of optimized configuration with maximum braking force and minimum attraction force is designed by the process of detail design.

  • The Chinese ancient accounts of timing observations of 48 lunar eclipses and the secular variation of the Earth's spin speed are discussed. A series of ${\Delta}$T expressing the secular deceleration of the Earth's rotation was obtained. The average increase rate of length of the day is about 1.5 milliseconds per century.

오존에 의한 폐수처리에 관한 연구 -염색폐수의 COD처리 및 탈색에 관하여- (A Study on the Ozonation of Dyeing Wastewaters)

  • This study concerns with the reduction of the COD and deceleration of dyeing wastewater from DAEGU city area by ozonation. The COD reduction by ozonation follows near linear relationships versus ozonation time, temperature and concentration. The color in dyeing wastewater and of dyes can he strikingly reduced as the water is quasi colorless after ozone treatment. COD reduction rate of wastewater was found not to be dependented on pH, however, high temperature gave better results, although economically not feasible. The ozonation of dyeing wastewater can give good results when dyes, scouring agent and sticking agents were pre-separated.

교통상충기법을 이용한 고속도로 하이패스차로 안전성 개선에 관한 연구 (서울외곽순환고속도로 본선영업소를 중심으로) (Safety Improvement of Installation of "Hi-pass" System at Expressway Toll Gate)

  • 본 연구는 고속도로 영업소 진출부의 차량속도와 상충발생을 조사하여 상대속도 및 상충으로 인한 차량 감속시간 등을 분석한 결과 상대속도가 클수록 상충으로 인한 차량 급감속이 발생한다는 문제점을 파악하였으며 특히 운영형태가 상이한 지점들을 비교 분석하여 차로 운영 형태에 따라 상충 및 상대속도가 다름을 확인할 수 있었다. 이러한 관찰을 통하여 하이패스 차량과 일반차량간 상대속도에 의한 사고 위험성을 정량적으로 비교 분석하였다. 그 결과 하이패스 차량과 일반차량간 합류가 하이패스차량간 합류보다 사고위험이 더 높은 것으로 분석되었다. 이는 차량간 상대속도차가 클수록 상충시 급감속 및 감속시간이 큼에 따라 사고 위험이 높은 것으로 분석되었다. 또한 합류 시점부가 영업소 진출 후 가까울수록 상대속도가 큼에 따라 상충시 TA분석값이 낮은 것으로 분석되었다. 영업소 진출부에서 발생하는 상대속도차에 의한 상충을 분석하였으며 이를 통해 급감속 및 사고발생을 줄일 수 있는 대안을 제시 영업소 내 하이패스 차로 설치시 안전성을 높여줄 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

연료분사정보 표시장치를 통한 자동차 연비향상 효과에 대한 실험적 연구 (A Study on Reduction of Fuel Consumption by Displaying Fuel Injection Data for Drivers)

  • The reduction rate of fuel consumption by showing the fuel injection data for driver was measured in this study. The fuel injection data are composed of injection period, real time fuel economy and average fuel economy. The fuel consumption was measured by processing the voltage signal of injector and driven distance by GPS sensor. The fuel consumption was reduced by driving more carefully, i.e driving more steady without sudden acceleration and deceleration watching these fuel injection data. The reduction rate was up to 37% and the rate increased as the driver is customed to this driving pattern.

  • Digital fetal monitoring system based on the personal computer combined with the digital signal processing (DSP) board was implemented. The DSP board acquires and digitally processes ultra- sound fetal Doppler signal for digital signal conditioning, rectification, low -pass filtering, autocorrealtion function calculation and its peak detection. The personal computer interfaced with the DSP board is in charge of graphic display, hardcopy, data transmission and on -line analysis of fetal heart rate change including on - line warning system, base -line estmation, acceleration, deceleration and variability. It is one of the most suitable situation to apply the DSP chip for siganl conditioning, digital filtering of ultrasound fetal Dopier signal and fetal heart rate estimation using autocorrelation technique .

The effect of pleasant olfactory stimulation on physiological responses

  • Using ordors with the different concentration of essential oils, e studied the effect of a pleasant olfactory stimulation on physiological responses. we examined psychological response, mental task and changes in cardiac, immunity and EEG in responses to 150times solution (feel easily) and 500times solution (feel with difficulty) which of essential oil (called PCK) were diluted in propylene glycol, and neutral (water). The 150times solution that was felt pleasant produced significant differences (p<0.05) in relative power change of beta activity in the left frontal region (Fp1, F3, F7) of the brain, and heart rate (HR) deceleration after mental task. these results are consistent with substantial research that has documented cardiac and EEG responses to pleasant stimuli. What is more, 150times solution increased the concentration of s-IgA know as an index of immunity.

VR 시나리오를 이용한 음주운전자 운전 특성의 유의성 및 상관분석에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Significance and Relationship Drunken Drivers Characteristics Using Virtual Reality Scenario)

  • PURPOSES: The number of traffic accidents in 2010 was 226,978 in Korea, a high percentage of which up to 12.61% was due to drunk driving. As it is expected that the number of traffic accidents will increase because of the drastic increase of the number of vehicle registrations and the prevalent drinking cultures, it is necessary to understand the driving characteristics of drunken drivers to lower the increasing rate. METHODS: This study, therefore, comparatively analyzes the two groups - one group before drinking and the other after drinking - based on the graph, and implements the correlation in each scenario(1,2,3). scenario 1. appearance of jaywalkers; scenario 2. appearance of an illegal left-turning car; and scenario 3. appearance of a vehicle and a person as obstacles to the driver after an accident. RESULTS: The comparative analysis of speed shows that the group after drinking was 50km/h faster than the group before drinking in Scenario 1, 20km/h in Scenario 2, and 15km/h in Scenario 3 respectively. In the comparative analysis of acceleration, the average level of the group after drinking was 0.15 higher than that of the group before drinking in Scenario 1, 0.30 in Scenario 2, and 0.15 in Scenario 3. In the comparative analysis of deceleration, the average level of the group after drinking was about 0.4 lower than that of the group before drinking in Scenario 1, 0.35 in Scenario 2, and 0.2 in Scenario 3 respectively. In the comparative analyses, the item of speed, acceleration and deceleration was of significance for each group in Scenarios. CONCLUSIONS: The comparative analysis demonstrated that there is a difference between the group before drinking and the group after drinking. In the analysis of correlation in each group, it was proved that the drunken group was of significance.

  • Autonomic and EEG responses of 38 college students were studied during 60-sec long presentation of International Affective Picture System (IAPS )slides evoking, according to subjective reports, negative (disgust, sadness, surprise) and positive (happiness, exciting) emotional. states. Observed were significant heart rate (HR) deceleration, large skin conductance responses (SCR), moderate respiration frequency slowing, reduction of frontal (F 3, F 4 ) and occipital (O 1, O 2 ) fast alpha, and increases of theta, delta and beta relative spectral power values during the first 30 sec of exposure of IAPS pictures. Analysis carried out to differentiate emotion categories according to autonomic responses indicated that observed HR deceleration was larger in magnitude in surprise and sadness than in disgust, SCR amplitude higher in sadness than in disgust. EEC showed significant differences in theta (F 3, F 4 ) and delta (O 1) power increase in disgust vs. happiness, fast alpha (F 3, F 4 ) power was lower in surprise than in happiness, and slow beta power higher. in happiness than in disgust (0 1). Despite some differences. observed within discrete emotion conditions, overall responses pattern of monitored parameters exhibited similar profiles with few variations, most. obvious. in disgust state, which suggests that affective visual stimulation elicits stereotypical responses in a given passive viewing paradigm. However, the magnitude of physiological responses may vary to certain extent across discrete emotional states making it possible to differentiate among particular experimentally-induced emotional states, e.g., disgust vs. sadness by ANS responses or disgust vs. happiness by EEG measures.

탑승자 안전지수에 영향을 주는 데이터 처리과정과 수치절차 (Data Processing and Numerical Procedures Influencing on Occupant Risk Indices)

  • 차량방호 안전시설에 대한 성능의 검증은 충돌시험의 가속도와 각속도 데이터를 사용하여 산정한 탑승자 안전지수를 평가하여 이루어진다. 탑승자 안전지수로는 THIV(Theoretical Head Impact Velocity), PHD(Post-impact Head Deceleration), ASI(Acceleration Severity Index), OIV(Occupant Impact Velocity)와 ORA(Occupant Ridedown Acceleration)가 있다. 탑승자 안전지수 계산에 상이한 데이터 처리과정과 수치절차의 적용이 가능하기 때문에 동일한 시험 데이터에 대하여 다양한 탑승자 안전지수값이 결정될 수 있어서 혼란이 초래되고 있는 실정이다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위하여 다양한 상세절차와 데이터 처리과정이 탑승자 안전지수에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 지침에 제시된 계측시간간격을 사용하여 차량충돌시험이 수행된다면 보간법과 수치적분방법은 THIV와 OIV 값에 영향을 크게 미치지 않았다. 그리고 PHD에 대한 10msec 이동평균방법과 데이터 처리과정의 영점보정은 탑승자 안전지수에 상당한 영향을 미치기 때문에 이에 관한 구체적인 방법이 지침에 규정되어야 한다.
