  • 최근 지형공간정보체계(GSIS)는 도시업무에 있어서 의사결정의 보조수단으로 사용되고 있으며, 특히 도시의 여러 관리 및 계획, 통제업무를 체계적으로 추진하기 위해 지형공간정보체계의 지형 자료기반부(database)를 구축하여 실 업무에 적용하려는 노력이 진행되고 있다. 본 연구는 지형공간정보체계의 자료기반부를 구축하는 방법 및 절차를 제시하였으며, 이를 상수도 시설물 관리 업무에 적용하였다. 상수도 사업 업무분석을 통하여 지형공간 자료기반부를 구축하였고, 지도 및 각종 도면을 사용하는 부서를 중심으로 4개의 주요 업무를 지원하는 프로그램을 개발하였다.

Information Strategy Planning for Digital Infrastructure Building with Geo-based Nonrenewable Resources Information in Korea: Conceptual Modeling Units

  • From this year, KIGAM, one of Korean government-supported research institutes, has started new national program for digital geologic/natural resources infrastructure building. The goal of this program is to prepare digitally oriented infrastructure for practical digital database building, management, and public services of numerous types of paper maps related to geo-scientific resources or geologic thematic map sets: hydro-geologic map, applied geologic map, geo-chemical map, airborne radiometric/magnetic map, coal geologic map and off-shelf bathymetry map and so forth. As for digital infrastructure, several research issues in this topic are composed of: ISP (Information Strategy Planning), geo-framework modeling of each map set, pilot database building, cyber geo-mineral directory service system, and web based geologic information retrieval system upgrade which services Korean digital geologic maps scaled 1:50K. In this study, UML (Unified Modeling Language)-based data modeling of geo-data sets by and in KIGAM, among them, is mainly discussed, and its results are also presented in the viewpoint of digital geo-modeling ISP. It is expected this model is further progressed with the purpose of being a guidance or framework modeling for geologic thematic mapping and practical database building, as well as other types of national thematic map database building.

  • Our society becomes complex because technology is developing quickly. Especially, building services field deals with the important information that produces a drawing and manages the planning information and manpower. Therefore, the efficient management that connected with the construction information plays the important roles. The study develops a database by organizing systematically the various types of information using hypermedia. And, this study is to build the management system that can serve the various information that operated by DBMS on the web according to the DB structure. The information database was developed using internet web technology for building services field.

  • In recent years, two major streams in medical information systems are:1) system integration among OCS(Order Communication System), EMR(Electronic Medical Record), PACS(Picture Archiving and Communication System), and ERP(Enterprise Resource Planning) and 2) system integration through medical collaboration between East and West medical service providers. One of the characteristics which differentiate the Korean medical industry from the western medical industry is the East-West medical collaboration. In many respects there are many differences between East and West medical treatment. Although East and West medical treatment have developed from different medical philosophies and standards, we assume that the better medical care can be provided by integrating their medical procedures effectively. The two possible approaches to the integration of East and West medical information systems are suggested in this paper:One is loosely coupled model and the other is tightly coupled model. EMR improves the quality of medical record which reflects the quality of clinical practice. It provides more efficient and convenient way of input, retrieval, storage, communication and management of medical data. We abstracted the standard medical procedures from the two medical procedures performed in Daejeon Oriental Hospital and Hehwa Clinic at Daejeon University and also abstracted database schema by analyzing the characteristics of information needed in East-West medical collaboration. Our EMR is composed of two types of data:one is structured data and the other is unstructured data, which are formalized by SOAP(Subjective, Objective, Assessment, Plan) format. Currently the integrated system is implemented and operated successfully for six months.

  • Kakegawa City is located at 138 deg. E and 34 deg. 45 min. N, in the west of Shizuoka Prefecture. Its population is approximately eighty thousands and its area is 185.79 square kilometers as shown in Fig.1. The city government has been developing GIS for the purpose of land management and tax base calculation and is one of the most advanced local governments in Shizuoka Prefecture. The city government has been developing the database of various kinds of physical and social environmental information, but the city government uses small parts of the database only fur land management and tax base calculation. The purpose of this report is to show the database of kakegawa City as shown in Table 1 and propose the effective usage of the database. The database of Kakegawa City as shown in Fig.2 and Fig.3 is imported to GIS in our laboratory and reconstructed as the database retrievable from each individual land. The authors developed the retrieval system of each individual land and combined it to the reconstructed database. If our GIS is open to the public, a lot of citizens will get useful information about their environments.

  • This study describes an application of a knowledge-based system for a part of the development of an integrated structural design system. In preliminary structural design procedure, most structural design operation are performed by structural engineer's manual method. These lack of systematic operation hampers the effective system integration. By introducing expert system to the structural planning stage, structural engineer can automate structural Planning process of an integrated structural design system for complex design. Engineering data management is receiving increasing attention due to complexity of information necessary for performing structural engineering operations. So, in this paper, we describe a methodology for automating conceptual structural design and developing a knowledge-based system integrated with database. At the end, we use an implemented example to support our methodology.

  • It was studied Horticultural field by ARC/lNFO software, applicated on GIS- management information system, which dealt with graphic and attribute data together. This result obtained was summarized as follow : 1. It would be to output about position, attribute and photographic data of this horticultural farm through AML. 2. It would be easy to use with internal interface which is composed in basic function menu and application menu. 3. It would be good to plant Water melon and Tomato in this Horticultural farm. 4. The method which applicated overlay and analysis would be need to manage farming data in this horticultural farm and to develop a dynamic decision support system interfaced with GIS.

  • 본 연구는 교량과 터널에 관련된 각종 정보, 즉 도면, 대장 및 조서(도형, 비도형 자료)를 데이터베이스화하여 도로시설물의 능률적이고 과학적인 관리를 위한 시스템 구축에 관한 연구를 수행하였다. 데이터베이스화의 가장 큰 목적은 도로시설물의 유지관리 및 보수시 자료의 신속, 정확한 수정과 보완으로 향후 합리적인 시설물 유지계획수립과 정보관리를 체계화하는데 있다. 본 연구에서 구축된 시설물관리시스템의 효용성을 검토하기 위해서 실제 행정관서에서 사용되고 있는 자료들을 적용해 본 결과 중요한 결론들을 도출하였다. 따라서 본 실험의 결과는 차후 보완연구를 통하여 국내의 각종 도로시설물관리를 위한 실용화에 크게 기대할 것으로 판단된다.

  • This paper introduces the case study that has been performed at the block paint shop, Hyundai Heavy Industries. First of all, the overall production processes of shipbuilding and research activities conducted by Korean are reviewed with a view-point of production planning. Then HYPOS(Hyundai heavy industries Painting shop Operation System) project is briefly described, which has several modules such as planning module, scheduling module, work order module, and DB(database) management module. Although the HYPOS system has several modules, this paper mainly focuses on the planning module that utilizes the rough-cut simulation algorithm to make a decision about the policy for production schedule. The HYPOS has been operated since June, 2000 and the operation data has been collected for the purpose of future evaluation about the performance of HYPOS system. The evaluation of HYPOS will be shown in a public domain as soon as the enough operation data is available.

  • This paper described the overall operations and applications of the water environment management and evaluation systems (WEMES) for environmental management, conservation, and evaluation for a small watershed. WEMES was to be applied with field data from small watersheds ranging from 0.4 to 29.79km2 in size which have steep topography and complex landuses. WEMES was a computer aided decision support system, that was comprised of the database subsystem, the simulation model subsystem, the environmental evaluation model subsystem, and the graphic user interface subsystem that visualizes the simulated results. The water environment management and evaluation with WEMES was successfully performed.
