The practice of splicing reinforcing bars in reinforced concrete structures to manage insufficient bar length is a common approach, which is mainly due to transportation limitations on bar length. The splicing of reinforcing bars side by side offers a simple and economical solution to the problem of continuity. This paper examines the influence of different structural parameters such as concrete cover, lap splice length, shear links confinement and concrete strength on the lap splices based on an extensive experimental database of laps and anchorage. The current study shows that increasing the lap splices beyond 50Ø has no additional benefit for increasing its strength. The results also show that relative to the measured stress, specimens with larger concrete side covers shows higher splice stress compared to the samples with smaller concrete covers.

본 논문은 인터넷상에서 전자우편물을 자동으로 생성하기 위한 에이전트에 관한 연구로서, 사례기반추론(Case-Based Reasoning:CBR) 모델을 통하여 우편물 발송자의 특성에 적응하는 에이전트의 설계 방안을 제안한다. 먼저, 지능형 에이전트와 사례기반 추론에 관하여 간략하게 조사한 후, 전자우편분석 에이전트, 색인 에이전트, 검색엔진 등으로 구성되는 다중 에이전트 시스템을 보여준다. 특히, 인공지능 기법 중의 하나인 사례기반추론의 유사도 계산 방식과 새로운 CBR 처리주기를 이용하여 전자우편물을 자동으로 생성하는 에이전트 시스템을 제안한다. 그리고 Databases와 Case-Bases를 설명하고 전자우편 자동생성 에이전트를 위한 CBR 처리주기를 제안한다. 그 다음, 에이전트와 사례 연구를 위한 프로토타입을 제공한다. 향후, Data-Mining 기법의 연구는 이 시스템이 사용자의 다양한 취향에 적응할 수 있는 유용한 시스템으로 발전하는데 도움이 될 것이다.

본 연구는 서산 6쪽 마늘로부터 완전장 유전자 은행의 제작과 이를 통해서 확보된 1,000여개 재조합 클론에 대한 염기서열 결과를 web-based database를 통한 상동성 분석으로 부터 서산 마늘의 발현 유전자에 대한 생물정보학적 분석에 관해 것이며 본 연구로 부터 마늘의 대표적 생리활성 물질인 allicin의 생성에 관여하는 효소인 allinase의 cDNA를 클로닝 및 완전 염기서열을 해석하였으며 allinase 유전자의 genomic structure 에 대한 일부의 결과를 확보하였다. 또한 다양한 생물종에서 연구 되어지고 있는 생리활성 단백질인 lectin 유전자 cDNA를 클로닝하여 완전 염기서멸을 분석하고, 6xHis Tag올 통한 재조합 단백질을 대장균에서 E.coli에서 발현시켰다.

In this thesis investigate the security gateway that manage authorization for user access dynamically by recognizing automatically and comparison & distinction between database and User-information while a terminal unit(PC) trying to access to the network of subnet. Also, it present User-interfaced authorization allowance role model, so administrator can assign united access control between network level(L2) and application level(L7) in relation to system construction.

The DASPRO (Protection Coordination Program for DAS) is one of the application programs for Distribution Automation System (DAS) of the KEPCO. Application programs developed by KEPCO provide optimal operation in distribution network. The DASPRO includes diverse functions to operate network as construction of database using existing information. creation of diagram for protection coordination. calculation of fault current. evaluation network. power quality monitoring, etc. The DASPRO can examine validity of setting values for protective devices by comparing to T-C curves. Unless the protection coordination is correct, the most suitable setting value for protection devices are displayed on the screen. In this paper, I will introduce the contents of the DASPRO.

The mining-related damages such as ground subsidence, acid mine drainage(AMD), and deforestation in the abandoned underground coal mine areas become an object of public concern. Therefore, the system to manage the miningrelated damages is needed for the effective drive of rehabilitation activities. The management system for Abandoned Underground Coal Mine using GIS includes the database about mining record and information associated with the mining-related damages and application programs to support mine damage prevention business. Also, this system would support decision-making policy for rehabilitation and provide basic geological data for regional construction works in abandoned underground coal mine areas.

Recently, Internet services are rapidly spreading all over the world. Internet will have a great influence on financial market and banking industry. Customers will obtain full banking services over Internet. Thus, Internet banking is an unavoidable choice to strengthen the competitive edge of banks. This paper designs and develops an application for Internet banking services in the existing banks. The implementation of Internet banking requires the construction of website, web pages and links to other related information. Using Oracle DBMS(Database Management System), Oracle Application Server, PL/SQL(Procedural Language/SQL), Java Applet, and Java Script, a prototype for Internet banking is implemented.

This research addresses to establish a systematic approach to design a standard Hangul code system for educational purposes in development of CAI courseware using Korean, English, and Chinese characters, which requires data exchanges and database construction. In this paper, types of Korean alphabetic code systems already in use, their representational environments and consonant/vowel order have been studied and analysed. This paper presents the requirements that the hangul code system for educational purpose needs to obtain. First, it should be able to represent all contemporary as well as ancient Korean alphabets. Second, character elements should be separable. Third, consonant/vowel order should be determined to easily retrieve and exchange data. Lastly, the code should maintain compatibility with other national codes and provide uniqueness of user-defined character codes.

Video viewers can not understand enough entire video contents because most video is long length data of large capacity. This paper Propose efficient scene change detection and video abstracting using new shot clustering to solve this problem. Scene change detection is extracted by method that was merged color histogram with χ2 histogram. Clustering is performed by similarity measure using difference of local histogram and new shot merge algorithm. Furthermore, experimental result is represented by using Real TV broadcast program.
