A Closer Look on Challenges and Security Risks of Voice Over Internet Protocol Infrastructures

  • Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) has grown in popularity as a low-cost, flexible alternative to the classic public switched telephone network (PSTN) that offers advanced digital features. However, additional security vulnerabilities are introduced by the VoIP system's flexibility and the convergence of voice and data networks. These additional challenges add to the normal security challenges that a VoIP system's underlying IP data network infrastructure confront. As a result, the VoIP network adds to the complexity of the security assurance task faced by businesses that use this technology. It's time to start documenting the many security risks that a VoIP infrastructure can face, as well as analyzing the difficulties and solutions that could help guide future efforts in research & development. We discuss and investigate the challenges and requirements of VoIP security in this research. Following a thorough examination of security challenges, we concentrate on VoIP system threats, which are critical for present and future VoIP deployments. Then, towards the end of this paper, some future study directions are suggested. This article intends to guide future scholars and provide them with useful guidance.

Development of a protocol for guidance in the pediatric nursing practicum in South Korea: a methodology study

  • Purpose: Practical training in pediatric nursing gives students the opportunity to apply nursing knowledge to children in a realistic clinical context. Clinical practice faculty (CPF) and clinical nursing instructor (CNI) have played important roles in the pediatric nursing practicum. This study was conducted to develop a protocol to guide clinical practicum in pediatric nursing. Methods: A service design methodology was employed between August 2020 and May 2021 at four universities and four hospitals in South Korea. The participants were five CPFs, five CNIs, five nursing college graduates, and 60 nursing students. The service design process had four phases: discovery, definition, development, and delivery. Data were collected through self-report questionnaires, in-depth interviews, and observations. The data were analyzed using content analysis and descriptive statistics. Results: The participants reported needs for providing concrete guidance and explanation, nursing practice experience, and a link between school and the clinical field. A protocol was developed to fulfill the participants' needs. The protocol comprised detailed information, teaching methodology, and partnership to guide students in the pediatric nursing practicum. Conclusion: The protocol developed in this study can be used to provide guidance for students' clinical practice in the field of pediatric nursing.

용접구조물의 제작시 발생되는 변형사례 모음

  • 이 글에서는 Butt joint에서 발생되는 가로수축, 각변형 그리고 bowing의 관찰을 통해 mechanism을 서술하였고, box beam, damper blade, bulk head, ball tank, 그리고 cylindrical column 등 실구조물의 변형문제에 접근하여 변형예측, 측정 data제시, 그리고 그 해석을 통해 구조물의 변형 크기를 인식케 하고, 동일한 구조물의 제작에 guide가 되고자 하였다. 변형에 대해서는 일률적인 방지방법이 없기 때문에 우선은 구조물의 제작시마다 변형의 크기와 향상에 대한 예측과 함께 변형계측이 계속되어 data가 축적된다면 차후 그 이용 및 응용 효과는 지대할 것이다.

Silicon-Based Integrated Inductors for Wireless Applications

  • This paper presents circuit modeling and characterization of silicon-based on-chip integrated inductors in Giga Hertz range for wireless communication products. We compare several different designs of on-chip inductors for self-resonant frequency and quality factor. The measurement data could be used as a design guide for manufacturing practical spiral inductors for wireless applications. We provide the equivalent inductor circuit parameters from the actual measurement data.

X선 기반 분광광도계를 통해 얻은 데이터 분석의 기초 (Practical Guide to X-ray Spectroscopic Data Analysis)

  • 분광학은 재료의 결정학적, 화학적 구조를 분석하기 위해 가장 보편적으로 활용되는 분석 기법이다. 이러한 기조에 따라 다양한 분석 소프트웨어와 peak fitting과 관련된 기술적 가이드라인이 보급되었지만, 정작 '왜' 중간 계산 과정을 거치고 해당 함수를 쓰는지에 대한 논의는 부족한 실정이다. 따라서 본 tutorial에서는 X선 기반 분광광도계를 통해 얻은 데이터 분석의 기초를 논하고자 한다. 이를 위해 관련된 peak fitting을 위해 필요한 실용적 배경지식을 제시하였다. 나아가, 하나의 예시로 임의로 선정한 X선 광전자 분광법 데이터에 대한 curve fitting 과정을 순서에 따라 알기 쉽게 소개하였다. 제시한 기초 이론은 특정 소프트웨어에 국한된 내용이 아니라 fitting tool이 있는 모든 소프트웨어에서 그대로 활용 가능할뿐더러 다른 분광법 데이터를 분석하는 데 적용 가능하기 때문에, 본 내용을 숙지한다면 보다 수월한 연구 진행을 위한 바탕이 될 수 있을 것이라 기대한다.

몬테카를로 시뮬레이션을 이용한 LCI data 불활실성 처리 방법론 (A Methodology on Treating Uncertainty of LCI Data using Monte Carlo Simulation)

  • Life cycle assessment (LCA) usually involves some uncertainty. These uncertainties are generally divided in two categories such lack of data and data inaccuracy in life cycle inventory (LCI). This paper explo.es a methodology on dealing with uncertainty due to lack of data in LCI. In order to treat uncertainty of LCI data, a model for data uncertainty is proposed. The model works with probabilistic curves as inputs and with Monte Carlo Simulation techniques to propagate uncertainty. The probabilistic curves were derived from the results of survey in expert network and Monte Carlo Simulation was performed using the derived probabilistic curves. The results of Monte Carlo Simulation were verified by statistical test. The proposed approach should serve as a guide to improve data quality and deal with uncertainty of LCI data in LCA projects.

해상교량에 대한 선박충돌 위험도 평가 및 민감도 분석 (Ship Collision Risk Assessment and Sensitivity Analysis for Sea-crossing Bridges)

  • 본해상교량 프로젝트의 설계단계에서 선박충돌 문제는 주로 교량 하부구조의 단면 결정에 관여하게 되며, 위험도 평가와 충돌 시뮬레이션 등을 통해 설계를 수행하게 된다. 선박의 충돌위험은 다양한 확률모델에 의해 평가되며 대체로 AASHTO Guide(2009)의 Method II와 유사하다. 그러나 해당기준에서 사용되는 일부 요소는 내륙수로에 국한되어 있거나 지역적인 요인이 강하여 설계자의 판단이 요구되므로 관련 기준이나 연구결과 등을 참고하여 결정해야 한다. 본 연구에서는 2010년 선박운항데이터를 사용하여 인천대교에 대한 위험도평가를 수행하고 기존 하부구조 및 방호구조물에 대한 위험도 및 내충돌 성능을 검토하였다. 그리고 AASHTO Guide의 Method II를 기준으로 하여 위험도평가에 필요한 요소들의 추정 방법과 적용 사례, 관련 연구결과에 대한 고찰을 수행하였다. 이로부터 위험도평가에 필요한 요소들의 적절한 가변영역을 정의하고 해당 구간에 대한 민감도 분석을 수행하였으며 설계단계에서 설계자가 주의하여 적용해야 하거나 지역적인 데이터의 직접 분석이 필요한 요소들이 확인되었다. 이번 연구는 해상교량에 대한 선박충돌을 고려한 설계시 위험도 분석과 관련하여 기본적인 참고자료가 될 것으로 판단된다.

  • Today's businesses are experiencing intensive global competition and the most accelerating pace of change ever. Competitors have sprung up that were not even on the business's radar. This environment impacts all decisions and strategies as business try to dominate their market or their industry merely to survive. So recently most of organizations are considering on building the data warehouse system to pursuit the business intelligence. We need the proper model to guide the approach to plan building data warehouse system when we want to plan it in considering the organizational status. Therefore we suggest a model to decide the approach to build data warehouse considering the project's environmental factors. First we review Ronald S. Swift(1998)'s five environmental factors that we have to consider when planing to build data warehouse. Then we propose a model to decide DW approach by the degree of those factors to be measured. DW approaches in this model are classified in conservative approach, technological approach, increasing approach. enterprise- wide approach, and ideal approach.

DTV 화질향상을 위한 자막데이터 전송방법 (Caption Data Transmission Method for HDTV Picture Quality Improvement)

  • Such as closed caption, ancillary data, electronic program guide(EPG), data broadcasting, and etc, increased data for service convenience cause to degrade video quality of high definition contents. This article propose a method to transfer the closed caption data of video contents without video quality degradation. Video quality degradation does not cause in video compression by the block image insertion of caption data in DTV essential hidden area. Additionally the proposed methods have advantage to synchronize video, audio, and caption from preinserted script without time delay.
