SAMI Galaxy Survey Data Release 2: Absorption-line Physics

  • We present the second data release from the SAMI Galaxy Survey. The data release contains reduced spectral cubes for 1559 galaxies, about 50% of the full survey, having a redshift range 0.004 < z < 0.113 and a large stellar mass range 7.5 < log($M_*/M_{\odot}$) < 11.6. This release also includes stellar kinematic and stellar population value-added products derived from absorption line measurements, and all emission line value-added products from Data Release One. The data are provided online through Australian Astronomical Optics' Data Central. Our poster presents stellar/gas kinematics on the metallicity-mass plane and highlight several galaxies from the SAMI Galaxy Survey that have interesting stellar and gas kinematics. The Estimation of Early Health Effects for Different Combinations of Release Parameters and Meteorological Data

  • Variations in the number of early health effects resulting from the severe accidents of the YGN 3&4 nuclear power plants were examined for different combinations of release parameters and meteorological data . The release parameters and meteorological data were selected in combination to define a limited number of basic spectra characterized by release height, heat content, release time, warning time, wind speed, rainfall rate, and atmospheric stability class. Variant seasonal spectra were also defined in order to estimate the potential significance of seasonal variations as a factor determining the incidence or number of early health effects. The results show that there are large differences in consequences from spectrum to spectrum, although an equal amount and mix of radioactive material is released to the atmosphere in each case. Also, there are large differences in the estimated number of health effects from season to season due to distinct seasonal variations in meteorological combinations in Korea. Therefore, it is necessary to consider seasonal characteristics in developing optimum emergency response strategies.

  • This study aims to compare the heat release calculated using the ensemble average of pressure data with the heat release calculated using the least squares method for pressure data. This paper propose a heat release computation method that can analyze the most correct, straight and simple method to analyse combustion phenomenon. In conclusion, we found that the least squares method of third-order was the best computational method for heat release calculation.

Spatial Statistic Data Release Based on Differential Privacy

  • With the continuous development of LBS (Location Based Service) applications, privacy protection has become an urgent problem to be solved. Differential privacy technology is based on strict mathematical theory that provides strong privacy guarantees where it supposes that the attacker has the worst-case background knowledge and that knowledge has been applied to different research directions such as data query, release, and mining. The difficulty of this research is how to ensure data availability while protecting privacy. Spatial multidimensional data are usually released by partitioning the domain into disjointed subsets, then generating a hierarchical index. The traditional data-dependent partition methods need to allocate a part of the privacy budgets for the partitioning process and split the budget among all the steps, which is inefficient. To address such issues, a novel two-step partition algorithm is proposed. First, we partition the original dataset into fixed grids, inject noise and synthesize a dataset according to the noisy count. Second, we perform IH-Tree (Improved H-Tree) partition on the synthetic dataset and use the resulting partition keys to split the original dataset. The algorithm can save the privacy budget allocated to the partitioning process and obtain a more accurate release. The algorithm has been tested on three real-world datasets and compares the accuracy with the state-of-the-art algorithms. The experimental results show that the relative errors of the range query are considerably reduced, especially on the large scale dataset.

  • Decision problem called an optimal release policies, after testing a software system in development phase and transfer it to the user, is studied. The applied model of release time exploited infinite non-homogeneous Poisson process. This infinite non-homogeneous Poisson process is a model which reflects the possibility of introducing new faults when correcting or modifying the software. The failure life-cycle distribution used superposition which has various intensity, if the system is complicated. Thus, software release policies which minimize a total average software cost of development and maintenance under the constraint of satisfying a software reliability requirement becomes an optimal release policies. In a numerical example, after trend test applied and estimated the parameters using maximum likelihood estimation of inter-failure time data, estimated software optimal release time. Through this study, in terms of superposition model and simply model, the optimal time to using superposition model release the software developer to determine how much could count will help.

소수성 가소제 Diethylphthalate가 Ethylcellulose 필름으로부터의 살리씰산 방출에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Diethylphthalate on the Release of Salicylic Acid from Ethylcellulose Films)

  • Release characteristics of salicylic acid from ethylcellulose(EC) films containing varying ratio of dieththylphthalate (DEP) were studied. Mathematical analysis of the release data showed that the release behavior actually conforms with the Higuchi's diffusion-controlled model. The release rate constants(k) were independent from the film thickness and the pH of release medium, but were proportional to the concentration of salicylic acid itself. The logarithm of the release rate constant (log k) increased as the concentration of DEP was increased. In conclusion, hydrophobic plastisizer DEP seemed to be very useful in controlling release rate constant of slightly soluble drugs as like salicylic acid without changing it's release characteristics.

체분해성 고분자를 이용한 약물의 조절방출 (Controlled Drug Release Using Biodegradable Polymer)

  • The characteristics controlled drug release have been studied for biodegradable polymer matrix. Polymer matrix was prepared from glycerine, prednisolone and dextran. Mathematical analysis of the data showed that the release behavior actually conformed to the Higuchi's diffusion controlled model. The release time was increased as drug loading doses increased, whereas decreased as glycerine concentration increased. The release rate did not change by varying molecular weight of dextran.

  • 소프트웨어 배포 문제는 프로젝트관리에 매우 중요하다. 왜냐하면 다양한 운용 환경 하에서 개발비용 및 에러의 발견, 수정 등에 밀접한 관계에 있기 때문이다. 본 논문은 대형 교환시스템 소프트웨어의 Release 시점을 예측할 수 있는 최적배포 문제로서 시스템의 안정도를 평가해 볼 수 있는 측면에서 소프트웨어 최적 배포 문제를 다루었다. 또, 신뢰도 평가 기준을 제시하여 제품의 적기 공급 및 개발자원의 효율적 이용 측면을 분석하고 신뢰성 평가 척도와 개발비용 고려한 최적 배포 문제를 기술하였다. 그밖에 소프트웨어 신뢰도 성장 모델 중 지수형 모델을 근거로 한 초기 고장데이터를 활용하여 교환시스템의 소프트웨어 개발비용과 신뢰성 평가기준을 고려한 최적 배포시기를 결정하고 시험시 발생된 고장데이터에 대한 분석 및 관리기법 등을 소개한다.

화학물질 배출·이동량 자료를 이용한 유해기반 지수의 시공간 특성 연구 (A Study on the Spatiotemporal Characteristics of a Hazard-based Index using the Pollutant Release and Transfer Register Data)

  • Objectives: This study was intended to identify hazard contribution by region, media, and chemical by calculating a hazard-based index using pollutant release and transfer register (PRTR) data. Methods: PRTR data for the period 2011 to 2016 was analyzed to examine the regional trends in toxic releases in terms of quantity and to create a corresponding hazard-based index. For the hazard-based index, the Risk-Screening Environmental Indicators (RSEI) Model was used. Results: The results of the trend analysis show that total releases decreased slightly, but health hazard levels increased consistently. According to the outcome of regional contribution analysis of the hazard-based index, Chungcheongnam-do, Jeollabuk-do and Gyeonggi-do Provinces showed a high ratio in the index for air and water release pollutants, while Gyeongsangbuk-do and Gyeongsangnam-do Provinces showed a high ratio in the index of soil release and waste transfer pollutants. Also, as a result of the analysis of the top ranked substances in the hazard-based index, it was found that chromium, cobalt and its compounds, and ethylene oxide contributed greatly to air release substances, while chromium, benzene, and lead and its compounds contributed greatly to water release substances. Conclusion: These results showed considerable disparities between total release and health hazard levels, especially in the analysis of contribution by regions and by chemical substance. Therefore, the hazard-based index should be used both to support a more comprehensive and robust approach to screening of chemicals for environmental health policy and for management.

폴리에칠렌 옥사이드 정제로부터 니페디핀의 방출양상 (Release of Nifedipine from Poly(ethylene oxide) Tablets)

  • The objective of this work is to investigate the effect of molecular weight of poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO) and release medium on the release of nifedipine (NP) from PEO tablets containing NP and to get some mechanistic insights into the release of NP. The tablets containing NP were prepared by direct compression, using a flat-faced punch and die. The molecular weights of PEOs used were 200K, 900K, 2000K and 7,000K. The release kinetics were studied for 24 hours in aqueous ethanol solution, using a dissolution tester at $36.5^{\circ}C$ and 100 rpm. Drug release rate increased, as the concentration of ethanol in the dissolution medium increased, due to the increased solubility of NP. As the molecular weight of PEO increased, release rate decreased, due to the slower swelling and dissolution of PEO. The power values obtained by fitting data to the power law expression $(M_t/M_{\infty}=kt^n)$ indicated that, at low ethanol concentration, the release of NP is governed by anomalous diffusion. However, as the ethanol concentration increases, diffusional release becomes to prevail over anomalous or zero-order release. Overall, these results provided some insights into the release of NP from PEO tablet.
