A Study on the Establishment of Standard Elements of Infrastructure Master Data: Focused on Infrastructure Standard Dataset (기반시설 마스터데이터 표준요소 구축에 관한 연구 - 기반시설 표준데이터를 중심으로 -)

  • The Master Data is constructed for the wide use within the institution, and it is mainly used in the enterprise. In this research, we have conducted research for the purpose of building master data on infrastructure that can be used by public institutions in the country. To do this, we analyzed individual attributes of the standard data set provided by the public data portal. Among these, we extracted standard elements that match the characteristics of the Master Data. Finally, the standardized elements are verified through the standardization system that is utilized in the country.

K-means based Clustering Method with a Fixed Number of Cluster Members

  • Clustering methods are very useful in many fields such as data mining, classification, and object recognition. Both the supervised and unsupervised grouping approaches can classify a series of sample data with a predefined or automatically assigned cluster number. However, there is no constraint on the number of elements for each cluster. Numbers of cluster members for each cluster obtained from clustering schemes are usually random. Thus, some clusters possess a large number of elements whereas others only have a few members. In some areas such as logistics management, a fixed number of members are preferred for each cluster or logistic center. Consequently, it is necessary to design a clustering method that can automatically adjust the number of group elements. In this paper, a k-means based clustering method with a fixed number of cluster members is proposed. In the proposed method, first, the data samples are clustered using the k-means algorithm. Then, the number of group elements is adjusted by employing a greedy strategy. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed clustering scheme can classify data samples efficiently for a fixed number of cluster members.

  • The purpose of this study was to construct positioning maps according to satisfaction of sensibility elements and screen composition elements of internet fashion shopping mall by using multidimensional scaling (MDS). A questionnaire and internet-site surfing was used for this research, and 200 responses were used for data analysis. MDS analysis showed the satisfaction levels of 10 sensibility elements and 5 screen composition elements satisfaction for 8 selected internet fashion shopping malls.

  • The purpose of this paper is to present core elements of bibliographic records to effective cataloging a variety of information materials such as monographs, non-book materials, serials, and internet resources. At first, AACR2R bibliographic data elements, the minimal level cataloging, and core records proposed by Progrma for Cooperative Cataloging(PCC) in Library of congress are discussed. After that elements of Core Records, dublin Core, KORMARC, and AACR2R are compared. Upon the results, this study suggests mandatory common core elements and optional core elements for cost-effective cataloging to all kinds of documents including internet resources.

  • At this point in time, advertisements data providers have no standard way of organizing advertisements, which has been causing confusion in information-sharing and data research. The purpose of this study is to design of metadata element for TV commercials by analyzing the characteristic features of TV commercials. First, it is to analyze characteristics, production process, composing elements of TV commercials through the literature review. Second, it is to analyze the characteristics of metadata elements on TV-Anytime and PB Core. Third, the 7 cases of advertisements data service providers are analyzed to extract the relevant data elements for TV commercial metadata. Forth, a Dublin Core was selected as basic metadata schema for TV commercial. Basic element is set as nineteen elements including , , , and . Sub-element is set as twenty seven elements. Finally, it is hoped that further studies of greater depth and specificity on organization and management of advertisements data may be undertaken.

An Analysis of Recognition and Preference for the View in an Apartment Unit (아파트 단위세대에서 보이는 경관에 대한 인지 및 선호 특성)

  • Following the previous ones, this study is intended to explore methods of qualitative assessment on the view from apartment units. It first complemented and analyzed the attributes of landscape elements and then set up questionnaire items based on these attributes to identify the tendencies in apartment inhabitants' recognition of landscape elements, and then conducted a preference assessment on the test cases sampled on the basis of picture and other data collected in the previous studies to identify the characteristics of the preference for the view from apartment units according to landscape elements. Consequently, the following results have been derived. First, the landscape elements seen from apartment units may be classified into a total of sixteen categories, and the overall ratio of natural elements to artificial ones is shown to be approximately one to three. Second, it is also shown that apartment dwellers tend to prefer natural landscape elements over artificial ones, and the preferences for the distance to and location of landscape elements exhibit certain variance depending on the type of the elements. Third, the analysis of the preference for landscape elements has revealed that the types of landscape elements, the make-up and diversity of landscape elements, and the perceived distance to landscape elements as well as the resultant feeling of openness all affect the preference tendencies.

  • A data stream is a massive unbounded sequence of data elements continuously generated at a rapid rate. Due to this reason, memory usage for data stream analysis should be confined finitely although new data elements are continuously generated in a data stream. To satisfy this requirement, data stream processing sacrifices the correctness of its analysis result by allowing some errors. The old distribution statistics are diminished by a predefined decay rate as time goes by, so that the effect of the obsolete information on the current result of clustering can be eliminated without maintaining any data element physically. This paper proposes a grid based clustering algorithm for a data stream. Given a set of initial grid cells, the dense range of a grid cell is recursively partitioned into a smaller cell based on the distribution statistics of data elements by a top down manner until the smallest cell, called a unit cell, is identified. Since only the distribution statistics of data elements are maintained by dynamically partitioned grid cells, the clusters of a data stream can be effectively found without maintaining the data elements physically. Furthermore, the memory usage of the proposed algorithm is adjusted adaptively to the size of confined memory space by flexibly resizing the size of a unit cell. As a result, the confined memory space can be fully utilized to generate the result of clustering as accurately as possible. The proposed algorithm is analyzed by a series of experiments to identify its various characteristics

Text mining-based Data Preprocessing and Accident Type Analysis for Construction Accident Analysis (건설사고 분석을 위한 텍스트 마이닝 기반 데이터 전처리 및 사고유형 분석)

  • Construction accidents are difficult to prevent because several different types of activities occur simultaneously. The current method of accident analysis only indicates the number of occurrences for one or two variables and accidents have not reduced as a result of safety measures that focus solely on individual variables. Even if accident data is analyzed to establish appropriate safety measures, it is difficult to derive significant results due to a large number of data variables, elements, and qualitative records. In this study, in order to simplify the analysis and approach this complex problem logically, data preprocessing techniques, such as latent class cluster analysis (LCCA) and predictor importance were used to discover the most influential variables. Finally, the correlation was analyzed using an alluvial flow diagram consisting of seven variables and fourteen elements based on accident data. The alluvial diagram analysis using reduced variables and elements enabled the identification of accident trends into four categories. The findings of this study demonstrate that complex and diverse construction accident data can yield relevant analysis results, assisting in the prevention of accidents.

Measuring Thermo-luminescence Efficiency of TLD-2000 Detectors to Different Energy Photons

  • Background: As an important detecting device, TLD is a widely used in the radiation monitoring. It is essential for us to study the property of detecting element. The aim of this study is to calculate the thermo-luminescence efficiency of TL elements. Materials and Methods: A batch of thermo-luminescence elements were irradiated by the filtered X-ray beams of average energies in the range 40-200 kVp, 662 keV $^{137}Cs$ gamma rays and then the amounts of lights were measured by the TL reader. The deposition energies in elements were calculated by theory formula and Monte Carlo simulation. The unit absorbed dose in elements by photons with different energies corresponding to the amounts of lights was calculated, which is called the thermo luminescent efficiency (${\eta}^{(E)}$). Because of the amounts of lights can be calculated by the absorbed dose in elements multiply ${\eta}^{(E)}$, the ${\eta}^{(E)}$ can be calculated by the experimental data (the amounts of lights) divided by absorbed dose. Results and Discussion: The deviation of simulation results compared with theoretical calculation results were less than 5%, so the absorbed dose in elements was calculated by simulation results in here. The change range of ${\eta}^{(E)}$ value, relative to 662 keV $^{137}Cs$ gamma rays, is about 30% in the energy range of 33 keV to 662 keV, is in accordance by the comparison with relevant foreign literatures. Conclusion: The ${\eta}^{(E)}$ values can be used for updating the amounts of lights that are got by the direct ratio assumed relations with deposition energy in TL elements, which can largely reduce the error of calculation results of the amounts of lights. These data can be used for the design of individual dosimeter which used TLD-2000 thermo-luminescence elements, also have a certain reference value for manufacturer to improve the energy-response performance of TL elements by formulation adjustment.

Determining Control Body Dimensions (인체 기본 부위의 결정)

  • Human body structure can be considered as a complex of many elements such as head, chest, arm, leg and etc. As the correct classification of human body is basic for the design of all the materials used by mankind and since we cannot consider all the elements simultaneously, there is a need of extracting a Sew elements which can be "most" representative of all those elements. This paper describes the procedure of determining those representative body dimensions utilizing the data obtained from a national project carried out in 1976. Also the relationship of the above determined body dimensions to the other commonly reference body dimensions are given in linear forms.ear forms.
