  • This study presents the direction of data triggers and elements to be recorded in automated vehicles in the future in relation to the event data recorder (EDR) and data storage system for automated driving (DSSAD). It does not distinguish between the EDR and DSSAD, but suggests data triggers and elements in preparation for overall automated vehicle accidents and dangerous situations. To propose, the current status of discussions on EDR/DSSAD internationally and the case of investigating accidents with automated vehicles under temporary driving licenses in Korea were analyzed. Based on the analysis, the direction of data triggers and elements of the EDR/DSSAD of automated vehicles were presented.

  • Since it is important to understand data acquiring characteristics through relationship between spatial types and spatial elements and apply it to spatial plans for smooth communication between designer and user of space, the conclusions gained from analysis of data acquiring characteristics of spatial elements through image evaluation by types of interior space can be summarized as in the followings: First, for the amount of acquired data by types of interior space, it shows that the acquired amount of data is to change by types and data acquiring method (phrase and image) even though the spatial elements are same. Second, for the data acquiring process of spatial types by gender, it shows that there is a big difference in acquiring of data according to the evaluation method by phrase and image. Third, for the amount of acquired data of spatial types by gender, it shows that there is a difference between male and female, which is by "classic ${\rightarrow}$ modern ${\rightarrow}$ natural" in case of male and "classic ${\rightarrow}$ natural ${\rightarrow}$ modern" in case of female. regarding both of phrase and image. Fourth, for the evaluation by gender, it shows that there is a deviation in the value of difference according to the elements by which data acquiring characteristics evaluate space. It is considered that this deviation characteristic is in need of reflection in the process of spatial evaluation. This study analyzed data acquiring characteristics of space user's spatial elements through image evaluation by types of space to understand how data acquiring would be changed of spatial elements according to type and gender. Through this study, it expects to make clear that, when a designer is planning a certain space, if the space can be a space for the user by understanding of which elements should be exposed to users by types to acquire more data.

  • This research makes the metadata element design for Korean medicine research data management and re-use. Derived metadata elements are verified in research data of Korea Institute of Oriental Medicine. TTAK.K0-10.0976 Standard, DataCite metadata Schema and National Research Data Platform of KISTI were analyzed to derive the metadata elements. Including Identifier, 27 elements were derived as top-level elements with 29 mandatory elements, 13 recommended elements and 31 optional elements. The degree of elements' necessity and new metadata elements were investigated and suggested in the survey by six domain experts in korean medicine field. In this study subject classification for the korean medicine research data are suggested. The final version of metadata schema was tested and verified by comparing with the legacy metadata fields. The research results can be used to describe the Korean medicine research data: items and files.

  • A data registry is a physical place to keep characteristics of classes of objects exist in the real world when they are chosen to record as data. It provides a centralized directory to describe the meaning, representation, and identification of data elements and their values. It assists to prevent redundancy and to preserve common understanding about the data described in a metadata set. In this paper, we investigate and classify various components of IBS(Intelligent Building Systems), specially HVAC in Building Automation Systems. We present IBSDR(Intelligent Building Systems Data Registry) model that specifies not only the detailed information on data elements but also the process of documenting data in IBS. It functions as the medium to create the data sharing environment to maintain exact meaning of data for every data elements so that database management designers or related users can create and exchange their DB without major modification. It also serves as a clearinghouse for information about IBS data. So all users can freely retrieve from and register data elements to IBSDR based on ISO/IEC 11179 through World Wide Web.

  • Most currently known molecular structures were determined by X-ray crystallography or Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR). These methods generate a large amount of structure data, even far small molecules, and consist mainly of three-dimensional atomic coordinates. These are useful for analyzing molecular structure, but structure elements at higher level are also needed for a complete understanding of structure, and especially for structure prediction. Computational approaches exist for identifying secondary structural elements in proteins from atomic coordinates. However, similar methods have not been developed for RNA due in part to the very small amount of structure data so far available, and extracting the structural elements of RNA requires substantial manual work. Since the number of three-dimensional RNA structures is increasing, a more systematic and automated method is needed. We have developed a set of algorithms for recognizing secondary and tertiary structural elements in RNA molecules and in the protein-RNA structures in protein data banks (PDB). The present work represents the first attempt at extracting RNA structure elements from atomic coordinates in structure databases. The regularities in the structure elements revealed by the algorithms should provide useful information for predicting the structure of RNA molecules bound to proteins.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze ISO/DIS 28560 and to cope with the current developments in library RFID technologies. The user data elements in part 1 and encoding rules in part 2 and part 3 of ISO/DIS 28560 are explored. In addition, a few corresponding cases regarding user data elements on ISO/DIS 28560 are investigated. Based on the corresponding cases, four user data elements are selected. They are , , , and . This study expects to allow fertile ground for discussion on the selection of user data elements in Korea.

  • The purpose of this study was to provide preliminary data for competitive dominance in an institutional foodservice environment. Data were collected from 85 experts and practitioners on customer-oriented service contact elements and contact fields in the foodservice industry. PASW Statistics ver.18 and MS Excel were used for data analysis. From the pilot study, 67 service contact-elements were derived. Contribution rate analysis and frequency analysis in each contact field were performed in order to categorize four factors, including environment-oriented contact, product-oriented contact, service-oriented contact, and image-oriented contact fields. Thirty three contact elements were derived, and environment-oriented contact consisted of eight contact-elements (cleanliness of restaurant/kitchen, etc.), product-oriented contact consisted of twelve contact-elements (food taste, etc.), service-oriented contact consisted of seven contact-elements (service quality, etc.), and image-oriented contact consisted of six contact-elements (image/reputation, etc.). The results of study will be useful to develop an effective marketing program for competitive dominance in an competitive foodservice industry environment.

  • The purpose of this research lies in providing basic data for appropriate territorial adjustment within the family by understanding the relation to family members and how 'territorial dislocations' caused by differences in personal space and behavioral domains are used and controlled as living elements. As a result, the following data could be obtained. 1. General usage conditions of living elements. When the order of usage conditions of living elements is reviewed, the living elements interspersed at the personal space and behavioral territory in public and private spaces show a high usage rate, and in the case where living elements are shared with other families, many living elements are controlled by each family. Also, for living elements with a high possibility of sharing, a high consciousness for public usage is shown rather than elements controlling the territory, and the usage rate as territory controlling living elements is not high. 2. Compared to Japan, in Korea elements that can be placed at a certain location are often used as elements that resolve 'territorial dislocation', using furniture rather than objects. On the other hand, in Japan 'territorial dislocation' is often resolved by establishing a personal territory within the living space. Lastly, compared to Japan, in Korea 'territorial dislocation' is often resolved by maintaining a personal territory spatially rather than territorially.

  • A polarimetric experimental method was developed to determine the Jones matrix elements of transparent optical materials without sign ambiguity. A set of polarization dependent transmittance data of the samples was measured with polarizer - sample - analyzer system and another set of data was measured with polarizer - sample - quarter-wave plate - analyzer. Two data sets were compared and mathematically analyzed to obtain the correct signs of the elements of the matrix. The Jones matrix elements of a quarter-wave plate were determined to check the validity of the method. The experimentally obtained matrix elements of the quarter-wave plate were consistent with the theoretical expectations. The same method was applied to obtain the Jones matrix elements of a twisted nematic liquid crystal panel.
