Due to the popularity of mobile devices and advances in wireless communication technologies, a mobile ad hoc network has received a lot of attention. In the existing data replication management research, the use of a replica has been shown to be an efficient technique for improving data accessibility. However, to use a replica in ad hoc networks, the data consistency between the original data and the replica should be guaranteed. In the traditional research, a mobile node should check an original data whether the data is updated or not. However, It may be costly or sometimes impossible to check the original data. In the case of the time constraint applications, the checking cost can cause more serious problem. In this paper, we propose the time-guarantee based cache invalidation schemes for time constraint applications and the threshold based compensation method to enhance the time-guarantee based scheme. The proposed schemes can remove the "rollback" problem. Simulation results show that our schemes outperform the previous ones in terms of access time with little loss of data currency.
We developed a method for inverting magnetic data to recover the 3D susceptibility models. The major difficulty in the inversion of the potential data is the non-uniqueness and the vast computing time. The insufficient number of data compared with that of inversion blocks intensifies the non-uniqueness problem. Furthermore, there is poor depth resolution inherent in magnetic data. To overcome this non-uniqueness problem, we propose a resolution model constraint that imposes large penalty on the model parameter with good resolution; on the other hand, small penalty on the model parameter with poor resolution. Using this model constraint, the model parameter with a poor resolution can be effectively resolved. Moreover, the wavelet transform and parallel solving were introduced to save the computing time. Through the wavelet transform, a large system matrix was transformed to a sparse matrix and solved by a parallel linear equation solver. This procedure is able to enormously save the computing time for the 3D inversion of magnetic data. The developed inversion algorithm is applied to the inversion of the synthetic data for typical models of magnetic anomalies and real airborne data obtained at the Geumsan area of Korea.
Detection and localization of a slow and quiet target in shallow water environments is a challenging problem for which it is well known that snapshot is deficient because of a fast and strong interferer. This paper presents waveguide interference filtering technique that mitigate strong interferer problems in adaptive matched field processing. MCM (multiple constraint method) based on NDC (null direction constraint) has been proposed for new spatial interferer filter. MCM-NDC using replica force a interferer component to be filtered through CSDM (cross-spectral density matrix). This filtering have an effect on sidelobe reduction and restoring of signal gain of a quiet target. This technique was applied to a simulation on Pekeris waveguide and vertical array data from MAPLE03 (matched acoustic properties and localization experiment) in the East Sea and was shown to improve SBNR (signal-to-background-and-noise ratio) over the standard MVDR (minimum-variance distortionless response) and NSP (null space projection) technique.
The berth and crane scheduling problem in a container terminal encompasses the whole process of assigning berth to each ship, determining the duration of berthing, assigning container cranes to each ship, and determining the specific start and end time of each crane service, for all the ships scheduled to be arriving at the terminal during a certain scheduling horizon. This problem is basically a constraint satisfaction problem in which cranes and berths should be assigned in such a way that all the spatial and temporal constraints are satisfied without any interference. However, it is also an optimization problem because the requested arrival and departure time should be met for as many of the scheduled ships as possible, while the operation cost of the terminal should be minimized. In this paper, we present an effective and efficient approach to solving this type of problem, which combines constrain satisfaction search and heuristic repair. We first employ a constraint satisfaction search to find a feasib1e solution. Then, the feasible solution is modified to a more optimal one by iteratively applying our heuristic repair operations within the framework of constraint satisfaction search. Experimental results with a real data from Pusan East Container Terminal showed that our approach can derive a schedule of satisfactory quality in a very short time.

Automotive control software can be a source of critical safety issues when developers do not comply system constraints. However, a violation is difficult to identify in complicated source code if not supported by an automated verification tool. This paper introduces two possible approaches that check whether an automotive control software complies API call constraints to compare their performance and effectiveness. One method statically analyzes the source code and explores all possible execution paths, and the other utilizes a model checker to monitor constraint violations for a given set of constraint automata. We have implemented both approaches and performed a series of experiments showing that the approach with model-checking finds constraint violations more accurately and scales better.
Objective: The arm swing is associated with gait ability in healthy young adults. The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of arm swing during gait in healthy young adults. Design: Cross-sectional study. Methods: Forty-five subjects without any orthopedic or neurological injuries participated in this study. All subjects performed all three conditions according to the arm swing type as follows: first procedure (condition 1), walking as usual without arm swing constraint; second procedure (condition 2), constraint of dominant arm swing walking as usual; third procedure (condition 3), constraint of both arm swing walking as usual. Gait parameters such as gait velocity, stride length, cadence, step time, single limb support, and double limb support were measured in all arm swing conditions performed randomly, with the mean value obtained from three measurements. A rest period of 5 minutes was given to prevent repetition of each condition and learning effect. All data was analyzed using repeated measures ANOVA to notice the changes between arm swing conditions. Results: Within walking conditions, significant difference of gait velocity, stride length, cadence, and double limb support was noticed (p<0.05), except step time and single limb support. Gait velocity and stride length were significant reduced, and in cadence and double limb support were increased (p<0.05). Condition 3 had the most significant decrease of gait ability compared with condition 1 (p<0.05). Conclusions: These finding suggested that constraint arm swing conditions reduced gait ability in healthy young adults. Also, these findings can be utilized as a reference to future studies that not only pelvic, knee and ankle, but also upper limb affect to gait ability.

In this paper, we propose a wireless MAC protocol named APRMA, which is capable of supporting the ABR type data service and maximizing channel utilization. In PRMA protocol, data terminals with random data packets cannot reserve slot. That is, slot reservation is applicable to the time constraint voice packet exclusively. But the reservation scheme has to be performed for loss sensitive data packet, and so data packets can get their quality of service. Therefore, in wireless MAC, reservation technique has to be used for both voice and data services. But in service aspects, if a fixed bandwidth is allocated to data terminals, time constraint voice packets may have a low efficiency. So in this study, the terminal which wants to request for ABR tyupe service, acquires a minimum bandwidth from system for thefirst time. If the system has extra available bandwidth, ABR terminals would acquire additional bandwidth slot by slot. As a result, APRMA protocol cansupporty the data service with loss sensitivity and maintain their channel utilization high. Also high priority services like voice can be satisfied with their QoS by APRMA.

We developed a time-lapse inversion using new cross-model constraints based on change ratio and resolution of model parameters. The cross-model constraint based on change ratio imposes the same penalty on the model parameters with equal change ratio. This constraint can emphasize the model parameters with significant change regardless of their increase or decrease. The resolution cross-model constraint imposes a small penalty on the model parameters with poor resolution, but a large penalty on the model parameters with good resolution. Thus, the model parameter with poor resolution can be effectively identified in the inversion result if they are significantly changed with time. Through the numerical tests for 3D resistivity monitoring data sets, the performance of these two cross-model constraints was confirmed. Finally, for the safety estimation of a sea dyke, we applied the developed time-lapse inversion to the 3D resistivity monitoring data that were acquired at a sea dike located in western coastal area of Korea. The result of time-lapse inversion suggested that there were no significant changes at the sea dike during the monitoring period.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the mediating effects of self-efficacy on the relationship between perceived father's rearing attitude and leisure satisfaction/leisure constraint in junior high school students. A survey was conducted using a convenient sample drawn from 448 students from eleven junior high school in Seoul area. Data were analyzed using SPSS 20.0 program. The results showed that students who perceived their father's rearing attitude as affection-rational explanation performed more of out-door leisure activity with their family. Perceived father's rearing attitude and self-efficacy was positively related with leisure satisfaction but negatively related with leisure constraint. In addition, self-efficacy partially mediated the relationship between perceived father's rearing attitude and leisure satisfaction/leisure constraint. These results suggest the leisure activity could be increased by father's rearing attitude through improving self-efficacy. Therefore, to improve the leisure activity through increase of leisure satisfaction and decrease of leisure constraint, father should raise their children in love and help to grow their self-efficacy.

The purpose of this study is to examine how college students' stress coping in the post-corona era affect leisure constraint negotiations. To achieve the purpose of this study, from January 25th to February 19th, 2021, 247 copies were used for this study, excluding 13 questionnaires from Jeonbuk, Jeonnam, and Busan. For data analysis, descriptive statistics, confirmatory factor analysis, ANOVA and hierarchical regression analysis were performed using SPSS 21.0 and AMOS 18.0. As a result, there was a difference in leisure constraint negotiations according to changes in the types of leisure before and after COVID-19. According to the stress coping method of college students, it appears that it has a positive effect on the part of leisure constraint negotiations, so it is necessary to consider a detailed approach to the coping plan. In particular, it was confirmed that the active stress coping method(Active problem solving, Social support seeking) had a positive effect on the leisure constraint negotiations. Therefore, future research will require efforts to verify their relationship with various approaches to leisure constraints, leisure constraints negotiations, and stress and stress response strategies with COVID-19.
