Objective : The purpose of this study was to report a significant improvement of Tinnitus with Sudden sensorineural hearing loss(SSHL) after treatment with Daehamhyung-tang.Methods : We experienced four cases of tinnitus with SSHL treated by Daehamhyung-tang. To evaluate the results of this treatment, we used the visual analogue scale(VAS)Results : After using Daehamhyung-tang, VAS and clinical symptoms of 3 patients were improved remarkably, but 1 case was no interval change.Conclusion : This study suggests that using Daehamhyung-tang is effective on tinnitus with SSHL.

Objective : The purpose of this paper is to report the effect of Daehamhyung-tang(DHHT) on tinnitus with panic disorder from the disease pattern identification diagnostic system based on Shanghanlun provisions. Methods : According to a disease pattern identification diagnostic system based on Shanghanlun provisions, the patient was diagnosed with 'Taeyang-byung Gyeolhyung'. He took DHHT for 82 days. This paper evaluated the results of treatment on tinnitus by Tinnitus Handicap Inventory(THI) and Verbal Numercial Rating Scale(VNRS). To assess the mental state of anxiety, this paper used Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale(HAM-A) Results : The THI score was declined from 58 to 6 And the VNRS score was declined from 6 to 1. HAM-A score was declined from 28 to 3. Conclusions : This case study suggests that DHHT has effectiveness on a patient suffers from tinnitus with panic disorder and diagnosed with 'Taeyang-byung Gyeolhyung'.

Objectives : Purpose of this study is to suggest a diagnostic definition of Chest bind(結胸) in GangpyeongShnghanlun 15 letters provision. Methods : Using The Etymology Dictionary of Chinese Characters, we interpreted the meaning of Chest bind(結胸) and symptoms on 134th provision of Shanghanlun. Results : The meaning of Chest bind is endurance of worries. Symptoms on 134th provision can be interpreted as follows. Worrywart person whose behavior is dilatory, who suffer from an inferiority complex, feel pressure on chest, feel heavy with worries, unstable, talkative, suffer from a feeling of anger, think himself as fallen into a trap, feel always nervous and is stubborn can be in a situation of Chest bind. Conclusions : Chest bind is one of the Names of disease in Shanghanlun. The Name of disease has its own meaning that can be used as diagnostic evidence. Further studies are needed to verify a hypothesis of diagnostic definition of Chest bind.
