콩가루 제조방법과 당의 종류와 양이 콩다식의 품질에 미치는 영향 (A Study on the Effects of Processing Method on the Quality of Soybean Da-sik)

  • Soybean Da-sik was prepared with various soybean powder processing methods (roasting, steaming, and steaming followed by roasting) and sugar types (honey, oligo-sugar), and their sensory and physical characteristics were evaluated to determine the optimum preparation method. The results were as follows: 1. For Sample 1 (roasting soybeans for 30 min at 150$^{\circ}C$ and grinding), the best appearance of Da-sik was obtained when the content of honey was adjusted to 35 g, and the color with 30 g of oligo-sugar by sensory evaluation. The optimum texture was obtained with 40 g of honey, and the optimum chewiness with 30 g of honey Overall, the optimum quality was obtained with 35 g of honey, and oligo-sugar seemed to have less influence on the quality. In case of Sample 2 (four rounds of steaming and drying for 35 min), 40 g of oligo-sugar was found to exhibit the best quality, and honey was less effective. For Sample 3 (three rounds of drying followed by 15 min roasting at 150$^{\circ}C$), the best appearance and color were obtained with 35 g and 40 g of honey, respectively. The texture was most favorable with 40 g of honey, while the chewiness was best with 30 g of honey, suggesting 35 g of honey was the optimum level for Sample 3 soybean powder than oligo-sugar. 2. The springiness, gumminess, hardness and chewiness measured by a texture analyser were highest with Sample 1 containing 30 g of honey, and the cohesiveness with 40 g of honey. 3. For color, the best brightness and yellowness were obtained with Sample 1 with 30 g of honey. The redness was highest with Sample 3 with 40 g of honey. Overall, the desirable recipe for soybean Da-sik was 35 g of honey for Sample 1 and Sample 3, and 40 g of oligo-sugar for Sample 2.

QoS Based IrDA in Mobile Phones

  • This paper presents the design and implementation of a QoS based IrDA in mobile phones. The IrDA standards have arised from the need to connect various mobile devices together. But currently, we have a difficult to connecting various mobile devices together. The difficult thing is to adjust the minimum turn around time. The minimum turn around time in IrDA deals with the time needed for a receiver circuit to recover following saturation by transmissions from the same device (turn around latency). This parameter corresponds to the required time delay between the last byte of the last frames sent by a station and the point at which it is ready the first byte of a frame from another station. This parameter comes into play when the link is turned around and is negotiated independency for each station. We solve this matter by using the Dynamic Adjustment Algorithm (DAA). The dynamic adjustment algorithm adjusts the minimum turn around time according to the numbers of devices. We apply our direct adjustment algorithm to our QoS based IrDA in mobile phones and show the improved performance of connection with various mobile phones together.

돈황 막고굴에 나타난 다보탑의 변천 (A Study on the Change of Da-bo Stupa in Dunhuang Mogao Grottoes)

  • This study aims to investigate the architectural characteristics of the Da-bo stupa by examining the correlation among architectural languages and by studying the features of its architectural components and transitional changes shown in Da-bo stupa line drawings in Dunhuang Mogao Grottes. The results are as follows. 1st, the Da-bo stupa of Dunhuang faithfully follows the sutra of lotus, and although the form changes, the fundamental essence of Bo-tap-yong-chul and two seated Buddhas provided by the Gyun-bo-tap-pum in the sutra of lotus is consistent. 2nd, the pagoda body can be periodically divided into parasol, stupa, and royal palace types. The parasol type has an incomplete tower body, which makes distinguishing each of its architectural components difficult. The stupa type appeared between the early (AD 618-712) and middle (AD 766-835) Tang dynasty. It combines the form of Indian stupa type and East Asian wood structural architecture. The royal palace type, which appeared between the peak period of the Tang (713-765) and Sung Dynasties, shows the standardized pattern of the Da-bo stupa described as two seated Buddhas and Bo-tap-yong-chul. 3rd, the use of a stylobate does not appear in the early construction of Da-bo stupa, only in the later period, in the form of high pillars. Forms include many Su-mi-jwah and three-way stairways and Dab-do, but as time passes, the forms are simplified to the form of high pillars. 4th, the purpose of early Da-bo stupa was to provide space for Da-bo-yu-rae of Gyun-bo-tap-pum; hence, it did not have sangryoon(the top part). However, after it was influenced by general pagodas, sangryoon was established. Toward the Tang Dynasty, sangryoon has come to emphasize the forms of boryoon(nine wheels) or dome. However, this form is eventually simplified to only retain bo-joo(the orb).

Comparison of lymphocystis disease virus proteins between marine and freshwater fish

  • Lymphocystis disease virus (LCDV) was detected from olive flounder Paralichthys olivaceus, painted glass fish Chanda baculis, gourami Trichogaster leeri and rockfish Sebastes schlegeli, and proteins of the viruses were compared. The major capsid protein (MCP) gene-specific primer sets successfully amplified approximately 1300 bp nucleotides from the olive flounder and 600 bp nucleotides from painted glass fish, gourami and rockfish isolates, respectively. In western blotting analysis using anti-LCDV mouse polyclonal serum, major antigenic proteins had 21, 26, 45, 50, 80, 110 and 120 kDa in olive flounder, 26, 47 and 80 kDa in painted glass fish, 26, 46, 80 and 92 kDa in gourami, 26, 44, 49, 80 and 105 in rockfish, respectively. All the marine and freshwater isolates showed only common antigens of approximately 26 kDa and 80 kDa. These results suggest that antigenic protein profiles of LCDVs may vary depending upon fish species.

Characterization of Vitellin from the Fireflies, Luciola unmunsana and L. lateralis

  • The vitellin of the fireflies, Luciola unmunsana and L. lateralis was characterized. The vitellin of L. unmunfon is composed of two subunits, designated Vnl (195 kDa) and Vn2 (185 kDa) in SDS-polyacryamide gel electrophoresis. These two subunits of vitellin of L. unmunsana gradually decreased during embryogenesis. As expected, these protein bands were presented in female adult hemolymph and egg extracts, but not in male. The vitellin of L. lateralis is also composed of two subunits, designated Vnl (195 kDa) and Vn2 (180 kDa) in SDS-PAGEi and these two protein bands gradually decreased during embryogenesis. Western blot analysis using each of polyclonal antiserum against vitellins of L. unmunsana and L. lateralis showed that two antisera strongly crossereacted with vitellin subunits of L. unmunsana and L. lateralis, suggesting that vitellins of L. unmunsana and L. lateralis have similarity with each other.

화경버섯의 항세균성 렉틴 (An Antibacterial Lectin from Lampteromyces japonicus)

  • 화경버섯의 자실체로부터 PAGE로 한 렉틴을 정제하고, LJAP(Lampteromyces japonicus antibacterial protein)라 이름 붙였다. LJAP는 17-kDa의 서브유닛트가 모여서 된 백 kDa이 넘는 회합 단백질이였다. 이 단백질은 아미노산 분석결과 세린, 글리신, 산성 아미노산의 함량이 높았다. LJAP는 대장균중 특히 JM 109, K 12, HB 101, JW 380에 대한 항세균작용이 뛰어났다. 한편, 항세균활성은 당단백질인 asialofetuin에 의하여 크게 억제되었다. 본 당단백질은 화경버섯에서 처음으로 얻어진 항세균활성과 적혈구 응집활성을 가진 렉틴이다.
