We propose a soft QoS-based borrowing scheme for call admission control(CAC) in DVB-RCS(Digital Video Broadcast-Return Channel via Satellite). Some of the ongoing calls temporarily and fairly release bandwidths that can be used to accommodate a new call in an overloaded satellite network. The amount of bandwidth borrowed from each call is proportional to each user's critical bandwidth ratio, one of parameters for soft QoS mechanism. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme improves the system performance in terms of call blocking probability and bandwidth utilization.

The sulfonated poly(styrene-divinylbenzene-acrylonitrile) (ST-DVB-AN) composite polymer electrolyte membrane based on the original PVC film was successfully synthesized to improve oxidative stability using semi-interpenetrated polymer network (semi-IPN). Weight gain ratio after copolymerization was enhanced by the DVB and AN contents, and the sulfonated membranes were characterized in terms of proton conductivity (k), ion exchange capacity (IEC), and water uptake ($W_U$). The effect of DVB content and AN addition were thoroughly investigated by comparing the resulted properties including oxidative stability. The obtained ST-DVB-AN composited semi-IPN membranes showed relatively high proton conductivity and IEC compared with Nafion117, and greatly improved oxidative stability of the synthesized membrane was obtained. This study demonstrated that a semi-interpenetrated sulfonated ST-DVB-AN composited membrane reinforced by PVC polymer network is a promising candidate as an inexpensive polymer electrolyte membrane for fuel cell applications.

본고에서는 유럽의 모바일 방송 기술과 차세대 모바일 방송이 개발된 배경에 대해서 살펴보고 지상파 디지털 방송 표준인 DVB-T2를 기반으로 모바일 방송에 특화된 DVB-T2 Lite의 특징 및 차세대 모바일 방송 규격인DVB-NGH시스템에서 다루고 있는 다양한 프로파일들과 관련하여 세부 기술들에 대해 알아본다. 또한, 현 시점에서의 미래 디지털 방송 기술 발전에 대한 전망을 살펴보고자 한다.

본 논문에서는 빔-호핑 위성 전송 기반의 DVB-S2x 슈퍼프레임 수신기를 위한 프레임 검출 기법을 제안한다. 제안하는 검출 기법은 2 체배 오버샘플링 레이트에서(over-sampling rate)에서 동작을 수행하며, 슈퍼프레임의 헤더를 구성하는 start of super-frame (SOSF)과 super frame format indicator (SFFI)를 모두 이용하여 하드웨어 복잡도를 줄이면서도 견고하게 프레임을 검출할 수 있다.

본 논문에서는 유럽 EU를 중심으로 활발하게 진행되고 있는 이동형 광대역 차세대위성방송/통신 융합기술에 대한 표준화 동향에 대해 언급한다. 특히, 최근 위성기반 유럽 DVB를 중심으로 이동형 서비스를 추구하고자 기술개정의 필요성을 보여준 DVB-S2M(Mobility)와 현재 표준화 진행중에 있는 Mobile DVB-RCS 표준을 소개하고 이와 관련된 주요 핵심 기술 및 향후 전망을 중심으로 논의하고자 한다.

HDTV로 전환되면서 방송국에서는 4:3의 SDTV와 16:9의 HDTV가 동시 방송되는 과도기를 맞고 있다. 유럽에서 채택한 DTV 표준인 DVB 방식인 경우 MPEG에 화면 비 정보와 AFD 정보를 신호에 실어 수신 장치에서 화변 비 정보를 알 수 있도록 하고 있다. 이 정보를 이용하여 방송에 따라 화면 비를 설정하고 최적의 화면 비율 상태로 시청할 수 있는 모드를 제공하도록 소프트웨어로 구현하고자 한다.

In this paper, we analyze the performance of LDPC decoder for DVB-S2 system. The performance analysis is performed by computer simulations based on AWGN channel and high order modulation technique including 16APSK and 32APSK. For normal frame codeword length N = 64800, the performance of LDPC decoder is only away 0.7dB to 1dB from Shannon limit with respect to each modulation. The constructions and encoding process of LDPC codes which are used for DVB-S2 system are also presented and described.

Resins have been synthesized from chlormethyl styrene 1,4- divinylbenzene(DVB) with 1%, 4%, and 20%-crosslinked and macrocyclic ligand of cryptand type by copolymerization method and the adsorption of uranium(VI), nickel(II) and lutetium(III) ions have been investigated in various experimental conditions. The correlation between the adsorption characteristics of rare earths and transition metal on the resins and stability constants of complexes with macrocyclic ligand have been examined. The uranium ion was not adsorbed on the resins below pH 2.0, but the power of adsorption of uranium ion increased rapidly above pH 3.0. The adsorption power was in the order of 1%, 4% and 20%-crosslinked resin, but adsorptive characteristics of resins decreased in proportion to the order of dielectric constants of solvents.

Current studies based on the DVB-S2x standard for the next-generation multi-beam HTS/BH satellite have been investigated. To enhance the efficiency of the transmission throughput and maximize the utilization of the satellite payload resources and bandwidth, the concepts of two advanced techniques, namely, precoding and BH, are described. Furthermore, state-of-the-art aspects currently under discussion, and future study items in the DVB TM-S standardization group, are summarized in this article.
