반도체 레이저에 의해 펌핑되는 Cr:LiSAF 레이저의 연속 발진 특성 (The CW lasing characteristics of a Cr:LiSAF laser pumped by semiconductor lasers)

  • 반도체 레이저에 의해 펌핑되는 Cr:LiSAF 레이저를 제작하였다. 펌핑 레이저는 고출력의 반도체 레이저 (SDL 7432-H1)였으며, 674 nm에서 최대출력은 500 mW이었다. 레이저 결정은 plano-Brewster모양의 Cr:LiSAF으로 Cr$^{3+}$ 의 농도가 3%, 길이가 3 mm, 결정의 평면인 면은 펌프레이저를 최대로 투과하고, 800-880 nm 대역에서 최대 반사율을 갖도록 코팅된 것을 사용하였다. 결정에 의한 비점수차를 보정하기 위해 V자형 공진기를 사용하였다. 펌핑 레이저의 출력이 290 nW일 때 Cr:LiSAF 레이저의 출력은 19.4 mW이었다. 광축의 각이 큰 복굴절 필터를 사용하여 레이저 파장을 840-880 nm파장 범위에서 가변할 수 있었으며, 복굴절 필터의 특성은 이론과 잘 일치하였다.

일반 타원의 검출을 위한 광학적 Hough변환의 적용 (Application of the Optical Hough Transform for the Detection of a General Ellipse)

  • 본 논문에서는 광학적 Hough변환(HT) 결과로부터 입력영상에 존재하는 타원의 정보를 찾는 새로운 방법을 제안하였다. 제안된 방법은 일반화된 타원 수식을 직선에 대한 HT 수식에 대입해서 타원에 대한 포락선 방정식을 구한 후, 포락선의 정보를 이용해 타원을 찾는데 필요한 다섯 개의 변수들을 수식적으로 유도하였다. 제안된 방법을 사용하여 최악의 경우에도 약 94%의 정확도로 타원의 정보를 추출할 수 있음을 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 통하여 확인 하였다. 시뮬레이션 결과와 실험 결과를 비교하기 위하여 HT 컴퓨터형성홀로그림(CGH) 필터를 사용하여 광학적 실험을 수행하였다. 실험을 통하여 광학적HT 결과가 이론적인 시뮬레이션 결과와 유사함을 확인하였다.

수중환경용 가압형 메탄올 연료프로세서의 최적운전 연구 (Optimal Operation Condition of Pressurized Methanol Fuel Processor for Underwater Environment)

  • Recently submarine and unmanned underwater vehicle (UUV) are equipped with a fuel cell system as an air independent propulsion system. Methanol fuel processor can efficiently supply the hydrogen to the fuel cell system to improve the ability to dive. This study investigated the optimal conditions of the methanol fuel processor that may be used in the closed environment. For this purpose, the numerical model based on Gibbs minimization equation was established for steam reformer and three exhaust gas burners. After simulating the characteristics of steam reformer according to the steam-to-carbon ratio (SCR) and the pressure change, the SCR condition was able to narrow down to 1.1 to 1.5. Considering water consumption and the amount of heat recovered from three burners, the optimum condition of the SCR can be determined to be 1.5. Nevertheless, the additional heat supply is required to satisfy the heat balance of the methanol fuel processor in the SCR=1.5. In other to obtain additional amount of heat, the combustion of methanol is better than the increased of SCR in terms of system design.

  • 신재생에너지용 발전 시스템은 모듈, 직류 전력을 교류 전력으로 변환시키는 전력 역변환장치, 전력흐름을 제어하고 계통 연계를 담당하는 제어장치로 구성된다. 이러한 시스템은 일사량이 많은 여름철 및 낮 시간에 가장 많은 직류전력을 생산하지만 계통의 연계를 위해 필수적인 전력 역변환장치는 특정 온도 이상으로 상승하면 효율이 급격히 감소하게 된다. 따라서 열전소자를 부착한 열 저감 시스템을 제안하고 가장 발열이 심한 구간을 선정하여 사용개수 및 위치에 따른 온도 특성 해석을 통해 최적 모델을 도출하고자 한다.

  • An underwater glider makes it easy to explore a wide area with low power. However, an underwater glider is difficult to use for rapid collection, because the surfacing location cannot be predicted after a dive. Thus, simulation research is needed to predict the swimming path. In this paper, based on research, a linearized equation is derived for the drag coefficient at each angle of attack by assuming the boundary conditions for the Slocum underwater glider and performing a computational flow analysis.

Comparison of porcine and human acellular dermal matrix outcomes in wound healing: a deep dive into the evidence

  • Acellular dermal matrices (ADM) are a novel graft. The goal of this systematic review is to evaluate the evidence behind differences in human and porcine ADM, irrelevant of manufacturing method, and to determine if there is enough of an evidence base to change clinical practice. An extensive literature search was performed through MEDLINE and Embase with search terms defining a population, intervention and outcome. Title and abstract exclusion were performed with other exclusion criteria. In 191 articles were found after exclusion of duplicates, with only 29 remaining following exclusions. Ten studies were found to have level I and II evidence (I=3, II=8), of which two were histopathological, one was an animal model, one was a systematic review, and six were clinical. The remaining studies were reviewed and considered for discussion, but did not hold high enough standards for medical evidence. Strong clinical evidence already exists for the use of human ADM, but questions of access, cost, and ethics require consideration of a xenograft. Histopathologically, evidence suggests minimal long-term differences between human and porcine ADM, although there is a short acute immune response with porcine ADM. Clinically, there is limited difference in outcomes, with a small range in effect of different ADM preparations. Considering the effectiveness of ADM in wound healing, more high-level research with appropriate statistical analysis to facilitate a future meta-analysis is recommended to justify a transition from human to porcine ADM.

순차 컨벡스 프로그래밍 기반 무인기 설계 형상의 성능 분석 (Sequential Convex Programming Based Performance Analysis of UAV Design)

  • 순차 컨벡스 최적화 기법을 사용한 궤적 최적화로 무인기 기초 설계 형상의 성능 분석을 수행했다. 외부 공력 모델로 설계한 비선형 궤적 최적화 문제는 볼록화와 이산화를 통해 2차 원뿔 프로그램 문제로 근사 되었다. 알고리즘의 성능 향상을 위해 제약조건을 완화한 문제의 해를 초기 궤적으로 사용했다. 근사해의 반복적인 탐색으로 하강 궤적 최적화 문제들을 분석했으며 설계 형상의 구동부 성능에 따른 최대 도달 속도를 비교했다.

부력엔진 독립시험 모듈 심해공학수조 시험과 실해역 시험 (Buoyancy Engine Independent Test Module Test in the the Deep Ocean Engineering Basin and at Sea)

  • The Korea Research Institute of Ships and Ocean Engineering (KRISO) has developed a test module that can vertically ascend and descend with a buoyancy engine to verify the performance of the developed buoyancy engine. The independent test module has been tested in the Ocean Engineering Basin(C.M.Lee et al., 2023). After that, more tests were performed in the Deep Ocean Engineering Basin and at sea. In the 50-meter depth pit test of the Deep Ocean Engineering Basin, there were no problems with the ascent and descent operations, but the buoyancy engine was not properly maintained due to various problems in the independent test module, resulting in a difference between the calculated results using the solution of the equations of motion and the actual measurement results. The East Sea test was conducted at a depth of approximately 110 meters north-east of Pohang, with a dive to 100 meters. The difference between the pressure sensor value and the calculated value was observed, but after checking the results of the underwater position tracking device(USBL, Ultra Short Base Line system), it was estimated that the difference was caused by the influence of the current.

내연기관의 저소음 보기류구동 시스템을 위한 통합 개발 방법론 (An integrated development methodology of low noise accessory drive system in internal combustion engines)

  • 자동차의 저소음 보기류 구동 시스템을 개발하는 체계적인 방법론이 전산해석과 리그 실험을 통해 제시되었다. 벨트 구동 소음 예측의 두 가지 난제는 1) 벨트와 풀리 접촉면에서의 스틱-슬립 비선형성과 2) 벨트 구동 시스템과 파워트레인 회전진동계와의 연성이다. 본 연구에서는 최근 개발된 해석 방법을 이용하여 벨트 구동시스템과 엔진 회전진동계를 통합한 해석 모델을 구축하였고, 다양한 파워트레인 운전 조건에서 정합성을 확보하였다. 통합 모델을 이용하여 스틱-슬립 소음이 발생하는 벨트 시스템을 개선할 수 있음을 확인하였다. 또한 새로운 방법론을 통해 신엔진 개념설계에서 NVH (Noise, Vibration and Harshness), 기능, 연비 등을 고려한 개념 설계안을 제시하였다.

『두창경험방(痘瘡經驗方)』에 나타난 두창 치료의 특징과 그 의의 (The characteristics of treatment of smallpox and its significance recorded in the Duchanggyeongheombang)

  • Objectives : The paper seeks to delve into a study of smallpox, specifically as one of the most representative contagious diseases during the Chosun era and how it was treated during that time. The lack of traditional medical texts that deal with smallpox has led this paper to dive into Duchanggyeongheombang. Methods : Everything related to edition and copy, and the author was organized based on pre-existing studies. The copy that is assumed as the original copy was considered and studied. The book was compared to and reviewed with Donguibogam, and the differences between the book and Korean translation were given attention as well. Results : Park Jin-hee is assumed to have authored Duchanggyeongheombang, and it is like that was had access to texts published by the state, one of which includes Donguibogam. He utilized the periods with smallpox outbreaks as his frame of study and put together a series of treatment for different symptoms. To this, he attached various medical charts, and added Korean translation for higher usability. In his book, he placed emphasis on spleen and stomach, but when needed, he did not shy away from using cold and coolness herbs. Conclusions : Duchanggyeongheombang was influenced partially by Donguibogam, but the book was given new life through the author Park Jin-hee's edition. Medical charts were added to increase its usability, and Korean translation was provided for wider audience. Its scope of prescription is very wide, and it provided the reasonings behind its medical judgements based on actual clinical studies instead of being tied down to traditions or taboos.
