Enzymatic Modification of Cellulose Using Leuconostoc mesenteroides B-742CBM Dextransucrase

  • In addition to catalyzing the synthesis of dextran from sucrose as a primary reaction, dextransucrase also catalyzes the transfer of glucose from sucrose to other carbohydrates that are present or are added to the reaction digest. We have synthesized new glucans having new structures and new characteristics, by transferring D-glucose of sucrose to $\alpha$-cellulose and by using the constitutive dextransucrase obtained from Leuconostoc mesenteroides B-742CBM. The final reaction products were composed of soluble- and insoluble-glucans. The yields of soluble- and insoluble-glucans were theoretically 21% $\pm$ 2.2 and 68% $\pm$ 5.1, respectively. The remainder of the reaction products was recovered as a mixture of olgiosaccharides that could not be precipitated by 67%(v/v) ethanol. Treating the modified glucans with endo-dextranase and/or cellulase, oligosaccharides were produced that were not formed from the hydrolysis of native cellulose or B-742CBM dextran. The modification of the cellulose was confirmed by methylation and acid hydrolysis of the soluble-and insoluble-glucan. Both (1->4) and(1->6) glycosidic linkages were found in both of the glucans.

  • In Korean Traditional Medicine(K.T.M.)'s theory, there are some important constitutions which constitute the human being. They are Jeong(精), Gi(氣), Sin(神), and Hyeol(血). Jeong(精) is the essential substances which constituting human body and maintaining life's activities. Gi(氣) is the vital energyor functional activities of human body. Sin(神) is a kind of Gi(氣) which is related to mentality, consciousness and thinking. Hyeol(血) is the red fluid circulating through the blood vessels and nourishing the body tissues. When a man is born, he takes Jeong(精) from his father, and Hyeol(血) from his mother. So father' s Jeong(精) and mother' s Hyeol(血) became the source of their children's Jeong(精), Gi(氣), Sin(神), Hyeol(血). But after be borning, man need to make Jeong(精), Gi(氣), Sin(神), Hyeol(血) by himself from Foods and drinks[水穀]. This thesis was written to explain a process or a system how the Foods and drinks[水穀] change to human's Jeong(精), Gi( 氣), Sin(神), Hyeol(血). When the food and drink[水穀] put in human's mouth, Five Bu[五腑] primarily digest and change to food and drink[水穀]'s Essence and nutrients which is similar to chyme or chyle[乳廳]. Secondarily, Five Jang[五臟] make Gi(氣), Jinaek(津液) - the body fluid, Jeong(精), Wigi(衛氣) - the defensive Gi, and Yeonggi(營氣) - the nutrient Gi circulating the Meridians, and Hyeol(血) from that food and drink [水穀]'s Essence and nutrients. And the information of every processing is reflected in urine. 50 the digestion is accomplished at not only Five Bu[五腑] but also five Jang[五臟]. The concept of digestion in this thesis is including both catabolim[異化作用] and anabolism [同化作用]. Samcho(三焦) is the recognition to the process of this digestion - ctabolism and anabolism in three part.

  • We propose a prescription transmission system based on XML in his paper, and it is not to attach a former signature to only a XML document for encoding of XML/EDI, and it is construction, one with the prescription transmission system which is safer with what use a way to attach a digital signature to DTD. I defined sub element to manage information prescription DTD defined prescription information, patient information, medical care organ information, prescription details information, compounding of medicines details information element according to for each a component of a prescription I went along, and to have looked up, and to have obeyed information transmission at he low rank. I read a DTD file for safe prescription transmission, and I do element or property, the entity which I do it, and is extracted here, and Pasing is saved in a table while being a field. If Pasing is finished, I read and lift a hash table and carry out message a digest. I compose it with an early private key and create a digital signature.

Analysis of $\triangle^9$-Tetrahydrocannabinol and 11-nor-9-carboxytetrahydrocannabinol in Hair by Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry (가스크로마토그라피/질량분석기에 의한 모발중 대마성분 분석)

  • An analytic method was developed for the quantitation of $\Delta$$^{9}-$ tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and 11-nor-9-carboxy THC (THC-COOH) in human hair. After hair samples were pulverized using Freezer Mill, deuterated internal standards were added and digested in 1 N NaOH at $100^{\circ}C$ water bath for 30 min. Digest solutions were extracted by 5 ml hexane:ethyl acetate (90:10) after acidification with acetic acid. The organic phase was evaporated under N 2 and derivatized by BSTFA (with 1% TMCS) at $85^{\circ}C$ for 45 min. The derivatized solution was separated on HP-5MS column ($30m{\times}0.25mm{\times}0.25mm$) and detected using EI-GC-MS with selective ion monitoring mode. The assay of calibration was ranged from 5 to 100 ng/50 mg hair ($r^2$>0.99) for THC and THC-COOH. Within and between-run precision were calculated at 6, 30, 60 ng/50 mg hair with coefficients of variation less than 11%. Within and between run accuracies at the same concentrations were$\pm$14% and $\pm$30% of target for both analytes, respectively. Absolute and relative recovery at 10 and 100 ng were 60∼91%. The method was used to detect and quantify THC and THC-COOH in cannabis abuser's hairs (N = 16) and SRM (N=5, THC 1 ng/mg, NIST). We detected THC and THC-COOH in only one hair sample. In SRM, % accuracy was 93% (range 86∼103%) and precision (% CV) was 8.14. We began to set up a quantitative analysis of THC and THC-COOH using EI-GC-MS. Continuously, we need to modify and develop this method in order to apply for identification in cannanbis users' hair.

Rice as an alternative feed ingredient in swine diets

  • It has become important to explore alternative feed ingredients to reduce feed costs, which are burdensome for livestock production. In addition, it is desirable to find efficient and functional alternative ingredients for traditional feed ingredients in pig diets, considering the stress and sensitivity of disease of pig. Rice is produced around the world like corn that is the typical energy source in pig diets. Although the nutritional quality varies depending on the degree of milling, rice, except whole grains (paddy rice), contains more starch than corn and its structure and granule size are easier to digest than corn. In addition, the fact that rice has fewer non-starch polysaccharides (NSP) and anti-nutritional factors (ANFs) is also effective in improving digestibility and various polyphenols in rice can help modulation of immune responses, which can be beneficial to the gastrointestinal environment and health of pig. Many studies have been conducted on rice focusing on things such as degree of milling, substitution rates of corn, granule size, and processing methods. Most results have shown that rice can be partially or completely used to replace corn in pig diets without negatively affecting pig growth and production. While further research should focus on the precise biological mechanisms at play, it was confirmed that the use of rice could reduce the use of antibiotics and pig removal and protect pigs from gastrointestinal diseases including diarrhea. From this point of view, rice can be evaluated as a valuable feed ingredient for swine diets.

  • Analysis of risky behavior factors for workers in the manufacturing industry enables effective human error prevention and systemization of an efficient safety management system. This study examines the relationship between the effects of workers' work psychology, work environment, and work deviation factors on risky behavior intentions and the effects of such risky behavior intentions on risky behaviors. Among the small and medium-sized manufacturing industries, the analysis was focused on a survey of 80 workers in the manufacturing and processing industry. Looking at the results, it was found that work psychology and work deviation had an effect on the intention of risky behavior, but the work environment factors corresponding to job satisfaction and workload did not affect the intention of risky behavior. The relationship with colleagues, the degree of satisfaction or dissatisfaction with the job, the degree of importance of the job that the worker feels, and the tightness of time to digest a large amount of work do not affect intentionally inducing dangerous work, but they do affect risky behavior. In the absence of intention, the work environment factor was found to accompany dangerous behavior.

A Study on the Fire Risk of ESS through Fire Status and Field Investigation (화재현황 및 현장조사를 통한 ESS의 화재 위험성 연구)

  • Recently, the spread of ESS in Korea has increased and a fire accident has also occurred. By July 2018, there were a total of 7 cases. All 7 cases were ESS systems consisting of lithium-ion batteries and were burned down. Both the automatic fire extinguisher and the fire department were not able to digest. In this paper, the characteristics of ESS fire are analyzed based on recent ESS fire situation and field investigation, and the cause of fire is divided into environmental, electrical and thermal factors. As a result, it was found that the ESS fire was correlated with the installation environment of the system. In the domestic and overseas lithium ion battery test standard and ESS facility standard survey, the trends and differences of domestic and overseas facilities standards were identified. Based on the fire status and field investigationy, and domestic and overseas facility standard survey, measures were suggested to prevent and prevent the spread of fire in ESS fire.

  • VDL-SL (Vienna Development Method-Specification Language) is one of the FSL(Formal Specification Language) which is being presented for the correct description of the security relevant standards. Several tools are being developed for the correctness and the convenience in the description and executable code generation of security relevant standards using VDM-SL. The IFAD VDM-SL Toolbox is one that has many functions : syntax checking, type checking, c++ code generation, test coverage information. This paper describes a formal method for description and implementation of MD4 algorithm using VDM-SL and IFAD VDM-SL Toolbox, and examines the result applied to secure hash algorithm, and proposes the relation to strict conformance test which recently suggested as a security test method.

An Effective Control Method for Improving Integrity of Mobile Phone Forensics (모바일 포렌식의 무결성 보장을 위한 효과적인 통제방법)

  • To prove the integrity of digital evidence on the investigation procedure, the data which is using the MD 5(Message Digest 5) hash-function algorithm has to be discarded, if the integrity was damaged on the investigation. Even though a proof restoration of the deleted area is essential for securing the proof regarding a main phase of a case, it was difficult to secure the decisive evidence because of the damaged evidence data due to the difference between the overall hash value and the first value. From this viewpoint, this paper proposes the novel model for the mobile forensic procedure, named as "E-Finder(Evidence Finder)", to ,solve the existing problem. The E-Finder has 5 main phases and 15 procedures. We compared E-Finder with NIST(National Institute of Standards and Technology) and Tata Elxsi Security Group. This paper thus achieved the development and standardization of the investigation methodology for the mobile forensics.

Effect of Exploration and Exploitation Activities on Technology Innovation Capacity and Innovation Performance : Mediating Effect According to Absorption Capacity and Innovation Strength (탐험과 활용활동이 기술혁신역량과 혁신성과에 미치는 영향 : 흡수역량과 혁신강도에 따른 매개효과)

  • Due to the rapid development of technology compared to the past, it is becoming difficult for companies to survive in a fiercely competitive environment if they do not innovate. In order for a company to carry out innovative activities, it is very important to find new knowledge, digest it, and secure its own technological capabilities. In this study, the causal relationship between exploration and exploitation activities, technology innovation capacity, innovation performance(technical performance, product performance), absorptive capacity, and innovation performance was identified. As a result of the analysis, exploration and exploitation activities were found to affect technology innovation capacity, and technology innovation capacity, absorptive capacity, and innovation strength were found to affect innovation performance. In addition, it was found that absorptive capacity and innovation strength play a mediating role between technology innovation capacity and innovation performance. The results of this study are expected to be useful as guidelines when planning or carrying out innovation activities in companies.
