  • The non-explosive holding and release mechanism is used to prevent damage to the mission component caused by explosives when the deployment structure for Cube Satellites is separated. However, among the several types available, the non-explosive holding and release mechanism system using nylon wires depend on the nylon wire knot method and tightening power of the worker. Therefore, in this study, we conducted experiments with the operation of a new holding and release mechanism system by conceptualizing the Boa System Dial, which can provide a constant tightening force regardless of worker proficiency and deploying a imitational solar panel. In this study, the process of binding and unbinding with constant tension was recorded while applying the novel non-explosive holding and release mechanism using the Boa System Dial proposed. In addition, required advances are indicated for the application of the proposed system to actual Cube Satellites.

  • A soil hardness meter with strain gages was developed in order to measure the hardness of the soil. Soil hardness tests were conducted at the laboratory based on this measuring system. Also, these results were compard with that from the cone penetrometer which is widely used for this purpose. The following conclusions were drawn from the results. 1. Since the correlation coefficient of calibration curve obtained from the soil hardness meter with strain gages was 0.99876 and that of calibration curve obtained from the cone penetrometer with dial gage was 0.97150, the soil hardness meter with strain gages was more recomendable than that with dial gage for this purpose. 2. Standard deviations of soil hardness for sands and soil of paddy field when the soil hardness meter with strain gages was used were 6.794 and 8.271, respectively and that of soil hardness for sands and soil of paddy field when the cone penetrometer with dial gage was used were 7.490 and 9.169, respectively. Thus, the soil hardness meter with strain gages seemed to have lower measuring error than with dial gage.

  • The UUCP program of either 4.1BSD or 4.2BSD version has been implemented to run under the System Development Network(SDN). This allows file transfers, remote command executions and mail transfers among UNIX systems. The major tasks are: developing dial-up capabilities, connections to domestic and international computer networks such as SDN, USENET and EUNET.

  • The objective of this paper is to present a method for synthetic performance and quality evaluation of dial up network modem in users place. In the past, universally recognized criteria have not been available to model switched network modem performance. Reasonable assurance of modem performance on the public switched telephone network by standardized test channel which is suggested by ELA(Electronic Industries Association). These tests of modem from a variety manufacturers more reflective of actual performance on the network.

  • Frame relay is a high speed wide area network technology that is used to connect various networks. Combining the advantages of packet switching and circuit switching, frame relay offers high throughput and reliability that is perfect for a variety of today's business applications. In this study, we briefly characterize frame relay technology, survey standardization activities and investigate domestic frame relay market. We developed an experimental system for the dial-up service to access remotely an enterprise network using frame relay network, and tested the performance and cost effect of the experimental system.

  • The IOT environment, people connected to the network, object, everything such as space (Things) generates data in real time. The information between the object collecting, sharing, are utilized. Currently health care, research in various fields such as smart home has been promoted. Also appeared concepts emphasized all things(IOE) Internet connection between the geographic space and the Internet. Human, while important connections between the objects, such as objects, studies of efficient and secure authentication technologies have been developed. In this paper, we propose a RADIUS (Remote Authentication Dial In User Service) protocol for improved mutual authentication between each object in the IOT environment.
