BLDC Motor Control System using ASK DC-link PLC Technology

  • Power line communication or power line carrier (PLC) is a system for carrying data on a conductor and can also used for electric power transmission. Now the powers used in the motor drive system are mostly DC sources. Even AC powers in some systems are generated from DC sources by the inverter. It is can be forecasted that the DC-link PLC technology will be widely used in various industrial fields. In this paper a novel BLDC motor control system using ASK DC-link PLC technology is proposed. The characteristic of this system is that the communication only needs 2 DC lines and there are no additional lines to translate the reference signals. The number of signal cables can be minimized when the DC-link PLC method is applied in the multi motor control system and the slip ring design also can be simplified when this method is applied in rotation machines. The proposed motor control system is clarified by the PSIM and MATLAB simulations and tested through the hardware prototype.

  • 태양광 발전 시스템에서 태양광 모듈 모니터링 시스템은 모듈의 전압, 전류, 온도 등의 정보를 얻는 것을 목적으로 하며 이를 통해 사업자로 하여금 태양광 발전시스템의 유지 및 관리에 큰 도움을 줄 수 있다. 태양광 모듈의 DC 전력선 이용하여 통신하는 DC-PLC(DC - Power Line Communication)는 추가적인 통신선이 필요하지 않아 보다 경제적으로 모니터링 시스템을 구성 할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 디지털 변조 방식으로 ASK(Amplitude Shift Keying) 방식을 사용하고 디지털 대역통과필터를 통해 캐리어 신호의 검출하는 DC-PLC 기반 태양광 모듈 모니터링 시스템의 설계한다.

  • In this paper, DC-PLC typed one-wire controller was designed and manufactured especially for In-vehicle safe devices. One-wire by DC-PLC scheme is to be used as a power supply and ground to process the sensor data and to operate the vehicle actuators. To avoid complicate wires, we use the conventional wires without installing extra communication lines. The data collected from the sensors are transmitted to the main controller, processed by programming, and run the actuators corresponding to the commands sending to vehicle control board. The proposed method shows that only One-wire without requiring several wires make In-vehicle control devices simple and reduce the damage due to the loss of the wiring.

  • 본 논문은 차량 컨트롤러 메인보드 개발에 있어 DC-PLC 방식으로 One-wire만으로 전원 공급 및 접지로 사용하도록 하여 센서 데이터 처리 및 구동 장치를 작동시키는 방법을 제안한다. 복잡한 배선을 피하기 위해 별도의 통신선을 설치하지 않고 기존 배선(wire)를 이용하며, 센서로부터 수집된 데이터를 처리하여 구동 장치를 작동시키는 명령을 전달하도록 설계한다. 본 논문은 제어장치에 들어가는 배선을 간단히 하고 차량 내부 상태를 점검하고 제어하는 기술을 설계하고 구현코자 한다.

  • The current marine internal communication systems are usually composed of NMEA0183, NMEA2000, and MiTS protocols which are located on the physical layer based on RS-422, RS-485, CAN, and EtherNet. However, general vessel communication method have a weak point that must establish the extra private line. But, the power line communication has advantage over general vessel communication method as it uses AC220V/DC24V without changing line. Therefore, we will propose a new bridge based on the DC-PLC(power Line communication) technique which support the NMEA0183 protocol inside vessel network systems.

  • The protection algorithm of DC line grounding for the subway is proposed in this paper. Compared to the conventional protection algorithm, the proposed algorithm has a advantage that can distinguish the difference between service line and faulted line. The contents of the proposed algorithm are by using blocking filter and PLC(Power Line Carrier). Results of the simulation show that the proposed algorithm is very useful.

  • We have studied design and application about an self generation equipment for underground power transmission cable. The split CT(Current Transformer), which has the applicable underground power transmission cable, was manufactured through electromagnetic simulation of magnetic core. And manufactured the AC-DC converter that supplied stable DC power for PLC modem when current of power line has more than 150A. An self generation equipment using the CT and AC-DC converter get into operation the PLC modem consistently. As a result, the underground power transmission cable was showed the application possibility through the stable communication and network characteristics.

  • In this research, an educational automatic purification facility of waste water is designed. The system has four functions which are filter tank, aeration tank, reactor tank and ultraviolet sterilization tank, and is embodied by PLC(Programmable Logic Controller), DC motor, solenoid valve, squirt gun, propeller, profile, switch, sensor and so on. Also, the system is designed and manufactured based on knowledges which are obtained from college education. The study is emphasized on "learning by doing". From this case study, students can increase their originality and adaptability for related industry. Also, the technique can be initiated industry if needed.

  • 본 논문에서는 DC 마이크로그리드(MG) 동작의 신뢰성 및 안정성을 향상시키기 위하여, 주파수 변동을 이용한 새로운 DC bus signaling (DBS) 전략을 제안하고자 한다. 제안한 DBS의 경우 스위칭 리플을 사용하여, DC 버스를 통해 연결된 컨버터 등의 소자가 현재 DC bus의 전력에 대한 정보를 얻을 수 있다. DC bus의 전력의 정보는 소비와 생산에 대한 DC bus의 밸런스를 맞추기 위해 사용되고, 이를 통해 각각의 컨버터 동작 영역이 상황에 따라 자동적으로 결정되고, 궁극적으로 자율화 시스템을 구현할 수 있게 된다. 본 논문에서는 DC bus에 나타나는 주파수 성분의 분석 및 변동 전략에 대해 기술하고, 시뮬레이션 및 실험 결과를 통해 제안하고자 하는 알고리즘이 Power Line Communication (PLC) 으로의 가능성과 타당성을 점검하고자 한다.
