  • In this paper, the optimal design and circuit simulation verification results of an LLC resonant half-bridge dc-dc converter using a steady-state model with internal loss resistance are reported. Above all, the input/output voltage gain and frequency characteristic equations in the steady-state were derived by reflecting the internal loss resistance in the equivalent circuit. Based on the results, an LLC resonant half-bridge dc-dc converter with an input voltage of 360-420V, an output voltage of 54V, and a maximum power of 3kW was designed, and to verify the design, the PSIM circuit simulation was executed to compare and analyze the result. In particular, the operating range of the converter could be drawn from the frequency characteristic graph of the voltage gain, and when the converter was operated under light and maximum load conditions, it was confirmed that similar results were obtained by comparing simulation results and calculation results in the switching frequency characteristic graph. In addition, the change of the switching frequency with respect to the load current at each input voltage was compared with the calculated value and the simulation result. As a result, it was possible to confirm the usefulness of the analysis result reflecting the internal loss resistance proposed in this paper and the process of the optimal design.

  • 일반적으로 압전변압기는 고압을 출력하는 전원장치로 사용되고 있으나, 최근 어댑터와 같은 AC/DC 전원장치에 이를 채용하려는 움직임이 활발히 전개되고 있다. AC/DC 컨버터의 소형 경량화론 위해 기존의 권선형 변압기 대신 압전변압기는 AC/DC 컨버터용이 아닌 LCD 백-라이트구동용으로 제작된 압전변압기(piezoelectric transformer)를 사용하여 AC/DC 컨버터의 기본 특성을 고찰하고자 한다. 압전변압기의 재질, 특성 값으로부터 등가회로의 모델링을 수행하고, 이를 시뮬레이션과 실험을 통하여 검증한다.

  • Self-tuning control algorithms for an input-amplitude constrained system are developed and implemented. Magnitude of control input for small motors is generally restricted to narrow bound due to actuator saturation. The gain-adjusted control algorithm and the bounded-gain control algorithm proposed in this study yield smoother control input variations within the magnitude constraints comparing with the existing Clarke's suboptimal control algorithm. In the gain-adjusted control algorithm, the feedforward gain is adjusted using maximum gain, while in the bounded-gain control algorithm, the feedforward gain is bounded using weighting factor. For the DC servo motor control, the system performances of the proposed algorithms are compared with those of the existing algorithm by computer simulation and experiment. It is shown that the input variations of the proposed algorithms are smoother as compared with the existing algorithm.

  • In this paper describes a design of Adaptive high gain observer. The gain of the observer is properly set up using the fuzzy control and adaptive high gain observer that have a superior transient characteristic and is easy to implement compared the existing method is designed. In order to verify the performance of the Adaptive high gain observer which is proposed in this paper, it is compared estimate performance of High-gain Observer and Adaptive High Gain Observer with the computer simulation. Effectiveness of the proposed high gain observer is proved from the simulation to compare the case with a speed sensor to the case with Adaptive high gain observer in the speed control of DC servo motor.

자동 이득제어 루프를 이용한 CMOS RF 전력 검출기 (A CMOS RF Power Detector Using an AGC Loop)

  • 본 논문에서는 자동 이득 제어 회로를 이용한 와이드 다이나믹 레인지 RF root-mean-square (RMS) 전력 검출기를 소개한다. 제안하는 자동 이득 제어는 voltage gain amplifier (VGA), RMS 변환 블록, 이득 조절 블록으로 구성되어 있다. VGA는 dB-linear한 이득 관계를 갖는 캐스코드 VGA를 사용하였다. 제안하는 RMS 변환은 입력 신호 전 파장의 제곱 변환을 이용하여 RMS에 비례하는 DC 전압을 출력한다. 제안하는 RMS 전력 검출기는 500MHz에서 5GHz에서 작동하며 검출 범위는 0 dBm에서 -70dBm 이상의 신호를 -4.53 mV/dBm의 비율로 검출한다. 제안하는 RMS 전력 검출기는 TSMC 65nm 공정을 사용하여 설계되었으며 1.2V에서 5mW의 전력소비를 갖는다. 칩 레이아웃 면적은 $0.0097mm^2$이다.

AC와 DC 노이즈가 있는 적분기 시스템에서 측정에러의 영향을 감소시키는 스위칭 상태 궤환 제어기의 설계 및 분석 (Design and Analysis of a Switching State Feedback Controller to Reduce the Measurement Error Effect for a Chain of Integrators System under AC and DC Noise)

  • In this paper, we propose a controller capable of reducing the effect of measurement errors under AC and DC noise. Typically, the control system measures data through a sensor. If sensor noise is included in a controller via the feedback channel, the signal is distorted and the entire system cannot work normally. Therefore, some appropriate action to counter the measurement error effect is essential in the controller design. Our controller is equipped with a gain-scaling factor and a compensator to reduce the effect of measurement error in the feedback signal. Also, we use a switching control strategy to enhance the performance of the controller regarding convergence speed. Our proposed controller can therefore effectively reduce the AC and DC noise of the sensor. We analyze the proposed controller by Laplace transform technique and our control method is verified via MATLAB simulation.

  • In this paper, we propose a controller for a ball and beam system which reduces the measurement error effect under AC and DC noise. The ball and beam system measures data through a sensor.   • Using a sliding mode controller and observer techniques, this paper presents a robust current controller for a DC motor in the presence of parametric uncertainties. One of the most important issues in the practical application of sliding mode schemes is the chattering phenomenon caused by switching actions. This paper presents a novel sliding mode controller that incorporates an integral control with a sliding mode disturbance observer to attenuate the chattering by reducing the controller/observer switching gains. The proposed sliding mode disturbance observer is designed to estimate a relatively slow varying signal in the equivalent lumped disturbance owing to system uncertainties. Combining the estimated uncertainty with the sliding mode control input, the proposed controller can achieve the control objective by using the relatively low gain of the controller. The proposed disturbance observer does not include the switching control input of the baseline sliding mode controller to reduce the observer switching gain. In the proposed approach, the integral sliding mode control is used to improve the steady state control performance. Comparative computer simulations are carried out to demonstrate the performance of the proposed method. Through the simulation results, the proposed controller realizes the robust performance with reduced current ripples.

3상 Switched Trans Z-소스 직류/교류 전력변환기의 스트레스 및 과도상태 특성 (Characteristics of Transient State and Stress of Three-Phase Switched Trans Z-Source DC/AC Power Converter)

  • When typical Z-source DC/AC inverter(ZSI) is operated in high voltage gain area, because of its high duty ratio, voltage and current stress in Z-network of typical ZSI are increased. This paper proposes a new switched trans ZSI(STZSI) with two switched trans cells which consist of one trans and two diodes. To confirm the operation performance of the proposed system, the PSIM simulation is performed for typical ZSI, switched inductor ZSI and the proposed STZSI. Voltage / current stress and transient state characteristics of each method are compared under the condition of DC input voltage 100[V] and output phase voltage 66[Vrms]. As a result, we confirmed that transient state of the proposed STZSI is short compared with the conventional ZSI because the high voltage gain is obtained using the same duty ratio, also a low duty ratio is required for the same output voltage. Finally, we could know the proposed system have low voltage and current stress in Z-network compared with the conventional ZSI.

  • With only the classical PID controller applied to control of a DC motor, a good (target) performance characteristic of the controller can be obtained, if all the model parameters of DC motor and operating conditions such as external load torque, disturbance, etc. are exactly known. However, in case when some of system parameters or operating conditions are uncertain or unknown, the fixed PID controller does not guarantee the good performance which is assumed with precisely known system parameters and operating conditions. In view of this and robustness enhancement of DC motor control system, we propose a PID learning controller which consists of a set of learning rules for PID gain tuning and learning of an auxiliary input. The proposed PID learning controller is shown to drive the state of uncertain DC motor system with unknown system parameters and external load torque to the desired one globally asymptotically. Computer simulation results are given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed PID learning controller, thereby showing whose superiority to the conventional fixed PID controller.
