The LFLP (Linear Fresnel Light Pipe) system uses a linear Fresnel lens to follow the sun and concentrates the parallel sunlight into a line. A LFLP daylighting system has been developed and updated to a DBLP (Double Blind Light Pipe) daylighting system to improve the overall system efficiency in the morning and afternoon. The new design consists of a double-blind style with a cone-shaped light transformer. The blinds are used to collect the sun's altitude and azimuth movements through the day. Behind the two sets of blinds is the light transformer, which is based on a parabolic-shaped light concentrator. The light transformer is designed to efficiently deliver light within a thirty-degree radial spread so that the light pipe can internally reflect the light. The results of scale-model tests are encouraging, and the efficiency is three times higher than that of the previous LFLP system.
A DBLP(Double blind light pipe) daylight system can be installed at a building exterior wall or roof to replace artificial light during the day time. This system was consisted of a double blind light collector, a mirror duct type light transformer and a prism light pipe distributor. The double blinds were used to track the sun's altitude and azimuth movements to collect the sunlight throughout the day. The sunlight collected by the light collector was reflected on the first mirror and the second mirror and sent to the light pipe through the light transformer. The transformer was designed to deliver the sunlight into the light pipe efficiently. The light distributor plays a role in diffusing the sunlight coming in through the light collector to be used for indoor lighting. In this paper, a DBLP system has been designed, installed and tested at a KIER daylighting twin test cell. The DBLP daylighting system was applied to the experimental test cell which has an indoor area of 2.0 m wide ${\times}$ 2.4 m height ${\times}$ 3.8 m length. The experiment was conducted from January 30 to February 27, 2012, under clear skies and partially cloudy skies. Data was collected from 10:00 am to 16:00 pm every 2 minute and the average was calculated for every 30 minute of the data collection to obtain the system efficiency. The results indicated that the DBLP system efficiency was evaluated as 11.67%. The DBLP system indoor illumination energy reduction was predicted as 0.822 kWh/day. This could replace 4 sets of a 32W fluorescent lamp operating 6.4 hours per a day.

The goal of this paper is to explore the field of Computer and Information Science with the aid of text mining techniques by mining Computer and Information Science related conference data available in DBLP (Digital Bibliography & Library Project). Although studies based on bibliometric analysis are most prevalent in investigating dynamics of a research field, we attempt to understand dynamics of the field by utilizing Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA)-based multinomial topic modeling. For this study, we collect 236,170 documents from 353 conferences related to Computer and Information Science in DBLP. We aim to include conferences in the field of Computer and Information Science as broad as possible. We analyze topic modeling results along with datasets collected over the period of 2000 to 2011 including top authors per topic and top conferences per topic. We identify the following four different patterns in topic trends in the field of computer and information science during this period: growing (network related topics), shrinking (AI and data mining related topics), continuing (web, text mining information retrieval and database related topics), and fluctuating pattern (HCI, information system and multimedia system related topics).

A daylighting system includes three parts; light collector, light transformer and light distributor. A DBLP(Double blind light pipe) daylighting system consists of a double blind light collector, a mirror duct type light transformer and a prism film light pipe distributor. The double blinds for a light collection are used to track the sun's altitude and azimuth movements throughout the day. Behind both sets of blinds is the light transformer, which is based on a rectangular cone shaped light duct. The light transformer was designed to efficiently deliver the light into the light pipe within a 30 degree radial spread for the efficient light into the distributor. In this study, DBLP system efficiency was simulated, evaluated and optimized by Tracepro as a popular ray trace light design simulation program. The results indicated that DBLP system efficiency evaluated a maximum 22.4% in case of Spring/Fall season solar noon time. While the overall average system efficiency in the morning and afternoon is evaluated about 10%.

A name is a key feature for distinguishing people, but we often fail to discriminate people because an author may have multiple names or multiple authors may share the same name. Such name ambiguity problems affect the performance of document retrieval, web search and database integration. Especially, in bibliography information, a number of errors may be included since there are different authors with the same name or an author name may be misspelled or represented with an abbreviation. For solving these problems, it is necessary to disambiguate the names inputted into the database. In this paper, we propose a method to solve the name ambiguity by using social networks constructed based on the relations between authors. We evaluated the effectiveness of the proposed system based on DBLP data that offer computer science bibliographic information.
Recently, many researches habe been done to organize and analyze various complex relationships in real world, represented in the form of graphs. In particular, the computer field literature data system, such as DBLP, is a representative graph data in which can be composed of papers, their authors, and citation among papers. Becasue graph data is very complex in storage structure and expression, it is very difficult task to search, analysis, and visualize a large size of bibliographic big data. In this paper, we develop a graphic user interface tool, called EEUM, which visualizes bibliographic big data in the form of graphs. EEUM provides the features to browse bibliographic big data according to the connected graph structure by visually displaying graph data, and implements search, management and analysis of the bibliographc big data. It also shows that EEUM can be conveniently used to search, explore, and analyze by applying EEUM to the bibliographic graph big data provided by DBLP. Through EEUM, you can easily find influential authors or papers in every research fields, and conveniently use it as a search and analysis tool for complex bibliographc big data, such as giving you a glimpse of all the relationships between several authors and papers.
Search results of XML keyword search are defined generally as the most specific elements containing all query keywords in the literature. The labels of XML elements and semantic information such as ontology, conceptual model, thesaurus, and so on, are used to improve the preciseness of the search results. This paper presents a hierarchical index for an efficient XML keyword query processing on the condition that returnable search concepts are defined and users' query concepts can be interpreted with the help of the semantic information. The hierarchical index separately stores the XML elements containing a keyword on the basis of the hierarchical relations of the concepts that the XML elements belong to, and makes it possible to obtain least common ancestors, which are candidates for the search results, with selectively reading the elements belonging to the concepts relevant to query concepts and without considering all the combinations of the elements having been read. This paper deals with how to organize the hierarchical index and how to process XML keyword queries with the index. In our experiment with the DBLP XML document and the XML documents in the INEX2003 test set, the hierarchical index worked well.
To overcome article-oriented search functions and provide author-oriented ones, a namesake problem for author names should be solved. Author disambiguation, proposed as its solution, assigns identifiers of real individuals to author name entities. Although recent state-of-the-art approaches to author disambiguation have reported above 90% performance, there are few academic information services which adopt author-resolving functions. This paper describes a large-scale test set for author disambiguation which was created by KISTI to foster author resolution researches. The result of these researches can be applied to academic information systems and make better service. The test set was constructed from DBLP data through web searches and manual inspection, Currently it consists of 881 author names, 41,673 author name entities, and 6,921 person identifiers.
This paper describes the data model and software development of XWS, an XWEET Web-wrapper System for generation wrapper program. To access information from various information sources, one has to convert and integrate source data into the same data model. XWS is developed as a part of XWEET project. We have implemented the XWS system using the Perl programming language stressing efficiency and ease-of-use. XWS has a few distinct features. First, data model and operator used for extracting information from HTML support a unified model of different views of HTML document. Second, it provides a user-friendly interface program to enable wrapper programmer to generate wrapper easily Third, XWS use the high-level script language designed by object-oriented methodology. In this paper, we also present the detail demonstration where it is useful for extracting article information from DBLP site.
