GPON에서 동적 대역할당 방안의 지연성능 분석 (Delay Performance Analysis of a Dynamic Bandwidth Allocation Scheme in a GPON)

  • 최근 인터넷을 기반으로 하는 응용프로그램과 인터넷 사용자들의 급격한 증가에 부응해 가입자 루프의 고속화 방안으로 여러 가지 PON 방식이 도입되고 있다. GPON은 이러한 PON 방식중 대표적인 접속망 기술로 상향 트래픽의 효율적인 전송을 위해 DBA 방안을 채택하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 GPON에서 동적대역 할당방안의 지연성능을 분석하기 위해 2단계 버퍼를 갖는 개찰 폴링 시스템을 도입한다. 평균 사이클 타임을 유도하고 패킷의 평균 지연 시간을 구하기 위해 연속시간 큐잉 모델을 사용한다. 수치해석 결과를 이용하여 대칭형 폴링 시스템에 대한 지연 성능을 조사한다.

밀리타리스 동충하초(Cordyceps militaris)의 인플루엔자백신 적응면역에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Cordyceps militaris on Adaptive Immune Responses in DBA2 Mice Immunized with Influenza Vaccine)

  • Cordyceps militaris has shown to have various pharmacological activities including an immune-modulatory effect. Previously, we reported that anti-influenza effect of C. militaris in DBA/2 mice was mediated by increased IL-12 and the activation of NK cells. In this study, we investigated the effect of C. militaris on adaptive immune responses using DBA2 mice immunized with influenza vaccine. To determine the effect of C. militaris on antigen presentation capability, we treated RAW 264.7 cells with various concentrations of ethanol extract of C. militaris, which showed a significant upregulation of CD86 (B7.2), CD284 (TLR4), CD40, H-2k (MHC I) and I-Ad (MHC II). To examine the direct effect of C. militaris on adaptive immune responses, we immunized DBA2 mice with influenza vaccine in presence or absence of C. militaris. After 2 or 4 weeks, influenza-specific T cell proliferation, HAI titers and IFN-${\gamma}$ production were measured in plasma or PBMCs isolated from animals. Influenza-specific T cell proliferation and HAI titers were not considerably increased in immunized mice in presence of C. militaris. However, the production of IFN-${\gamma}$ was much greater in immunized mice with C. militaris as adjuvant than only immunized mice.

Suppressive Effects of Potato (Solanum tuberlosum) on Type II Collagen-Induced Arthritis in DBA/1J Mice

  • Collagen-induced arthritis (CIA) is a model for some types of human autoimmune rheumatoid arthritis (RA). In this study, we examined whether ethanol extract of potato (Solanum tuberosum) is efficacious against CIA in mice. Potato extracts (100 and 200 mg/kg) were orally administered to DBA/1J mice once daily for 49 day after initial immunization with type II collagen. Clinical assessment of disease and measurement of paw edema were conducted throughout the study. The production of CIA-related rheumatoid factor, anti-type II collagen antibody, and cytokines were examined in DBA/1J mice. Serum levels of AST, ALT, creatinine, and lipids were measured, and antioxidant enzyme activity in the spleen was also determined. The arthritis score and paw edema were markedly suppressed in the groups treated with potato extract. Levels of rheumatoid factor, anti-type II collagen antibody, interleukin (IL)-1, IL-6, LDL-cholesterol, and malondialdehyde in sera were also reduced by potato extract treatment. The activities of glutathione peroxidase and glutathione reductase were increased in the spleens of CIA mice treated with potato extract. These findings suggest that potato extract has suppressive effects on type II collagen-induced arthritis, an animal model for human RA.

Histochemical study of lectin-binding patterns in the rat vomeronasal organ during postnatal development

  • Histochemical patterns of lectin binding during development of the rat vomeronasal organ (VNO) were studied to determine whether glycoconjugates are differently expressed after birth. Three types of lectins, Dolichos biflorus agglutinin (DBA), wheat germ agglutinin (WGA), and Ulex europaeus agglutinin I (UEA-I), were studied histochemically in the rat VNO at various stages post-birth: postnatal days 1 and 7, the preweaning period (4 weeks after birth), and at sexual maturity (8 weeks after birth). The free border of the vomeronasal sensory epithelium was positive for both WGA and UEA-I in rats of all ages; whereas, VNO receptor cells and supporting cells were positive only for both WGA and UEA-I from 4 weeks after birth. DBA reactivity was detected in the free border but less so in receptor cells and supporting cells. WGA and UEA-I, but not DBA, showed similar patterns in various ages. In the Jacobson's gland, WGA, UEA-I and DBA were detected in some acini from 4 weeks after birth but not at postnatal days 1 or 7. Collectively, reactivity for three lectins, WGA, UEA-I and DBA, increased in receptor cells and gland acini during postnatal development, possibly contributing to the enhanced chemoreception in rats.

염색법에 의한 쌀 단백질의 함량 및 질의 평가에 관한 연구 (Evaluation of Protein Content and Qaulity in Brown Rice by a Dye-binding Method)

  • Frankel-Conrat 와 Cooper에 의해 개발된 쉽고 빠르며 능률적으로 단백질 함량 및 질을 결정할 수 있는 염색법을 고단백 품종의 선발에 이용할 수 있는지의 여부를 알기 위하여 최근 고단백 수도품종으로 육종되고 있는 IR-667 계통에 적용하여 단백질, BAA, 및 라이신 함량과의 관계를 비교 검토하여 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. DBA-protein의 관계는 고도의 상관관계를 보였으며 단백질 함량을 생체중으로 나타냈을 때 $-0.975^{**}$, 건물중으로 나타냈을 때 $-0.955^{**}$의 상관계수를 보였다. DBA-lysine 및 DBA-BAA의 상관관계는 모두 고도의 상관관계를 보였으며 비슷한 상관계수를 보였다. DBA-lysine의 관계는 DBA-protein 의 관계보다는 다소 낮으나 protein-lysine과의 관계보다는 높은 상관관계를 나타내었다.

Paclitaxel-Coated Balloon versus Plain Balloon Angioplasty for Dysfunctional Autogenous Radiocephalic Arteriovenous Fistulas: A Prospective Randomized Controlled Trial

  • Objective: To report the mid-term results of a single-center randomized controlled trial comparing drug-coated balloon angioplasty (DBA) and plain balloon angioplasty (PBA) for the treatment of dysfunctional radiocephalic arteriovenous fistulas (RCAVFs). Materials and Methods: In this prospective study, 39 patients (mean age, 62.2 years; 21 males, 18 females) with RCAVFs failing due to juxta-anastomotic stenosis were randomly assigned to undergo either both DBA and PBA (n = 20, DBA group) or PBA alone (n = 19, PBA group) between June 2016 and June 2018. Primary endpoints were technical and clinical success and target lesion primary patency (TLPP); secondary outcomes were target lesion secondary patency (TLSP) and complication rates. Statistical analysis was performed using the Kaplan-Meier product limit estimator. Results: Demographic data and baseline clinical characteristics were comparable between the groups. Technical and clinical success rates were 100% in both groups. There was no significant difference between the groups in the mean duration of TLPP (DBA group: 26.7 ± 3.6 months; PBA group: 27.0 ± 3.8 months; p = 0.902) and TLSP (DBA group: 37.3 ± 2.6 months; PBA group: 40.4 ± 1.5 months; p = 0.585). No procedural or post-procedural complications were identified. Conclusion: Paclitaxel-coated balloon use did not significantly improve TLPP or TLSP in the treatment of juxta-anastomotic stenosis of dysfunctional RCAVFs.

EPON의 DBA 방안에서 실시간 트래픽의 패킷 손실률과 지연 성능 분석 (Packet Delay and Loss Analysis of Real-time Traffic in a DBA Scheme of an EPON)

  • As the rapid incensement of the number of internet users has occurred recently, many multimedia application services have been emerging. To improve quality of service, traffic can be suggested to be classified with priority in EPON(Ethernet Passive Optical Network), which is supporting the multimedia application services. In this paper, multimedia application services treat bandwidth classifying device in serving both delay sensitive traffic for real-time audio, video and voice data such as VoIP(Voice over Internet Protocol), and nonreal-time traffic such as BE(Best Effort). With looking through existing mechanisms, new mechanism to improve the quality will be suggested. The delay performances and packet losses of traffic achieved by supporting bandwidth allocation of upstream traffic in suggested mechanism will be analyzed with simulation.

  • Ethernet-based passive optical network(EPON) technology is being considered as a promising solution for next-generation broadband access network. It must have the property of high efficiency, low cost, and support quality of service(QoS). A major feature for this new architecture is the use of a shared transmission media between all connected optical network unit(ONU). Hence, medium access control(MAC) arbitration mechanisms are essential for the successful implementation of EPON. In this paper we propose a simple dynamic bandwidth allocation(DBA) algorithm that improves the performance of network and supports IP-based multimedia applications with the bursty data traffic. In addition, we introduce analytic models of proposed algorithms and prove the system based on our algorithm to be asymptotically stable. Simulation results show the new DBA algorithm provides high bandwidth efficiency and low queueing delay of ONU in EPON.

  • Ethernet passive optical network (EPON) is a technology to solve the access network bottleneck and to realize fiber to the home (FTTH). In EPON, the dynamic bandwidth allocation (DBA) is important because all users share common line in upstream. In this paper, we propose new DBA named as modified EPON dynamic scheduling algorithm (MEDSA) and simulate new DBA using Matlab.

항혈전 약물 개발 연구

  • 작약의 메타놀에기스를 작용성분을 추적하면서 분리하였으며 EtOAc 분획으로부터 gallic acid methylester(GA-1) 및 paeonoldmf 혈소판 응집억제 작용 물질로서 분리하였으며 Paeonol은 혈소판 응집억제 작용이 이비 보고된바 있다. GA-1은 오가피로부터 혈소판 응집억제 작용물질로서 분리된 DBA-1과 구조적으로 매우 유사하며 혈소판 응집억제 작용물질로서 알려진 aspirin의 구조와 유사하다. Platelet aggregometer을 이용하여 DBA 및 GA analogs 13종(DBA-1-10 및 GA-1-3)들이 ADP 또는 collagen에 의하여 유도된 혈소판 응집에 대하여 억제작용을 보이는가를 검색하였다. 이들중 aspirin과 유사하게 억제작용을 보인 DBA-1-3-7-9-10, GA-3 및 paeonol에 대하여 mouse를 이용한 in vivotlfgja을 시행하였다. 즉 endotoxin 또는 collagen 과 epinephrine을 정맥주사하여 intravascular thrombosis를 일으켜 혈소판수를 감소시키며 이때 이들 물질들의 혈소판 감소 억제효과를 관찰하였다. 대조약물로서 사용한 aspirin은 collagen과 epinephrine에 의한 혈소판 감소를 현저히 억제한 반면 endotoxin에 의한 혈소판 감소에는 효과가 없었다. DBA-9, -10, GA-3 및 paeonol은 endotoxin에 의한 혈소판감소에 대하여 약한 억제효과를 보였으며, 검색시료 전부가 collagen과 epinephrine에 의한 혈소판 감소에는 aspirin보다 작용이 적었으나, DBA-10, GA-3 및 paeonol은 현저하게 억제효과 있었다. 또한 collagen과 epinephrine 동시 투여에 의한 치사 실험에서는 DBAD-7, GA-3 및 paeonol이 aspirin과 같거나 강한 사망 억제 효과가 있었다.cyclopropyl-7-(2-furanyl) -6-fluoro-1,4-dihydro-4-oxo-3-quinoline carboxylic acid (compound 4), 1-cyclopropyl-7-(2-thiophenyl)-6-fluoro-1,4-dihydro-4-oxo-3-quinoline carboxylic acid (compound 6) ,1-cyclopropyl-7-(3-pyridinyl)-6-fluoro-1,4-dihydro-4-oxo-3-quinoline carboxylic acid (compound 8), 1-cyclopropyl-7-(2-fluoro-3-pyridinyl)-6-fluoro-1,4-dihydro-4-oxo-3-quinoline carboxylic acid (compound 10)를 합성하였다.10^{-7}$ M)에 의한 단백인산화에 대하여는 더 미약한 억제-효과를 나타내었다. 이상의 결과는 PDE-1과 항우울약들의 항혈소판작용은 PKC-기질인 41-43 kD와 20 kD의 인산화를 억제함에 기인되는 것으로 사료된다.다. 것으로 사료된다.다.바와 같이 MCl에서 작은 Dv 값을 갖는데, 이것은 CdCl$_{4}$$^{2-}$ 착이온을 형성하거나 ZnCl$_{4}$$^{2-}$ , ZnCl$_{3}$$^{-}$같은 이온과 MgCl$^{+}$, MgCl$_{2}$같은 이온종을 형성하기 때문인것 같다. 한편 어떠한 용리액에서던지 NH$_{4}$$^{+}$의 경우 Dv값이 제일 작았다. 바. 본 연구의 목적중의 하나인 인체유해 중금속이온인 Hg(II), Cd(II)등이 NaCl같은 염화물이 함유된 시료용액에 공해이온으로 존재할 경우 흡착에 의한 제거가
