This study is intended to build research for ways to utilize material information in the design and working business for public works. The contents and results of this study can be classified into object-oriented DB application to bridge construction and object-oriented DB utilization of civil material information. First, application of object-oriented DB to bridge construction 1) constructs the work unit of classified work table as an object(Each object constructs material information on the statement of quantity calculation as data), 2) constructs object-oriented DB for superstructure and substructure of PSC Beam bridge, 3) leads to the research for ways to utilize materials by developing 3D bridge prototype with REVIT structure. Secondly, ways to utilize object-oriented DB for civil material information identified the possibility for utilizing it in making 2D drawings for design work, preparing materials list, analyzing structure for working businesses, selecting and purchasing materials, managing process and maintaining. It is suggested that the results of this study should be applied to all bridge constructions through test-bed and additional studies so as to secure the credibility of the results of this study.

This study discusses the quality issue of large scientific and technical (S&T) bibliographic databases in South Korea. In details, this study develops the criteria to evaluate the quality of S&T bibliographic databases, evaluates the quality of the selected two databases - UN10N DB and SATURN DB of the KORDIC, and finally, suggests both organizational and technical methods for the quality improvement of such bibliographic databases.

This paper suggests the way to realize smart card security system by using handwritten signature instead of a password which is traditionally used for user authentication. Because of the familiarity of signature we don't need to try to remember the password and signature is difficult to be used by guess or illegal forced situation. The feature data of handwritten signature is large, so we designed COS which is consist of special commands for processing user's handwritten signature data, user authentication, and basic commands based on ISO 7816-3. Also protocol among user, smart card terminal and DB server is designed. In registration process, the feature data of user signature is saved in both a DB server and a smart card. User authentication is processed by comparing the user signature and the saved feature data in a smart card and in a DB server. And the authentication result and hash value of signature data in DB server are transferred to smart card. During this process the authentication between DB server and user is finished. The proposed security system has more higher level of security in user authentication of smart card and it will Provide safer and more convenient security services.

This study proposed the method for the SWMM data generation connected with the spatial database and designed the data model in order to display flooding information such as the runoff sewer system, flooding areas and depth. A variety of data, including UIS, documents related to the disasters, and rainfall data are used to generate the attributes for flooding analysis areas. The spatial data is constructed by the ArcSDE and Oracle DB. The prototype system is also developed to display the runoff areas based on the GIS using the ArcGIS ArcObjects and spatial DB. The results will be applied to the flooding analysis based on the SWMM.

ISP (Information Strategy Planning), which is the first step of the whole database development has been studied to manage effectively information and data related to the decommissioning activities of the Korea Research Reactor 1＆2(KRR-1＆2). In order to establish the scope of the decommissioning DB, user requirement and the importance of the decommissioning information were analyzed and set up the conceptual design of the decommissioning DB and established the classification system related to decommissioning activities. It has been extracted the principle information such as working information facilities information, radioactive waste treatment information and radiological surveying and analysis during the interviewing with an experts. And also, It has been made the code system. These results will be used as the basic data to design the prototyping for the decommissioning DB.

According to previous research, the reason why Design-Build(hereinafter "DB") outperforms Design-Bid-Build(hereinafter "DBB") in terms of cost is due to less change orders(hereinafter "COs"). However, if biddropping was low for DBB resulting into increasing COs, then it would be wrong to conclude that DB is superior due to less COs. Therefore, in order to confirm such misjudgment, the attempt to comprehensively analyze biddropping, COs and delivery method was made as previous methods had analyzed either the relationship between delivery method and COs, or biddropping and COs. This research uses path analysis, which simultaneously compares effect sizes on COs according to delivery method and biddropping based on the project type, and validated the mediator effect. The research proved that DB outperforms DBB due to less COs cannot be validated as biddropping caused a mediator effect by intervening between the delivery method and COs for specific project types. Therefore, the mechanism of delivery method acts on COs through biddropping was established. Also, the identity of biddropping was investigated in a different perspective from previous research. Based on this result, this research is expected to help determine a delivery method by considering the mediator effect of specific projects and evaluate performance.

본 연구는 생산 현장과 기술 설계 부서를 효율적으로 연결시키고 기술 자료를 공유화하기 위해서는 각 역할분담(Software Module)에서 공통DB(EDB/MDB)를 공유화할 뿐만 아니라, 이러한 공통DB를 특별한 지식이 없이 이용할 수 있는 공통 API)(Application Program Interface)와 DB를 통합적으로 관리해주는 Servet Process의 필요성의 업계의 동향과 국제 표준화 동향을 참고하여 설명하고자 한다.

최근 산업기술의 비약적인 발전으로 인해 오늘날 우리가 개발하거나 사용하는 시스템은 기술적 완성도 측면에서 수준이 매우 높아지고 있다. 한편 고속열차, 첨단 신무기체계 등 대형복합 시스템의 경우, 새로운 시스템을 개발하기 위해서는 기존의 단일화된 개발 방법으로는 개발과정 및 개발 후에 많은 문제점이 잠재적으로 존재한다. 따라서, 기존의 시스템 개발방법인 순공학적인 방법뿐만 아니라 역공학, 동시공학 등을 고려한 통합 프로세스의 고려를 통한 접근이 필요한 시점에 와있다. 이러한 통합적인 접근법을 수행하기 위해서는 체계적인 관리가 필수적이다. 따라서 무수히 많은 설계 산출물이 파생되는 오늘날 산출 DB의 체계적 관리 및 접근을 통한 설계의 중요성이 강조되고 있다. 본 연구를 기반으로 향후 추가 연구를 수행한다면, 국내 대형복합시스템의 설계단계에서의 안전성을 동시 고려한 시스템 설계 신뢰성 확보를 위해 도움이 될 것으로 기대 된다.

This study aims to construct the aged portal sites based on multimedia DB on the basis of request for systematic collection and management of the aged-related specific information which are spreading and construct Multimedia Information System for the Aged by developing digital contents to offer the aged-related information. It also tries to construct ontology based information repository for the aged that includes on/off-line. It extracts semantic relationship of each information by analysing the aged information, knows the hierarchical structure of each vocabulary, and designs and constructs an ontology based repository by designing function of each agent through that. It has also developed a variety of information and digital contents, constructed a systematic multimedia DB for the aged welfare homes, developed web framework which makes automatic registration of the aged welfare homes possible, and designed in order to support the use state of enterprises/homes and statistics state.
