According to the design method for constructing the G gori(the traditional Korean jacket)collar, there are differences in form after its completion. In the construction design of the midsection of the gusset as in that of the basic G gori, not only was the positioning of the two sides of the collar not smooth, but also, when the collar strip was attached, there would be an imbalance on one side or the other so that it was difficult to achieve symetry. Therefore in this project, by applying the pattern design of the gusset midsection to that of the collar midsection, not only did attaching the collar and the collar strip create a visual effect by equalizing the lengths of the tow sides, but the construction was also easy. This method of construction introduces the three-dimensional aspect of the human form in its conic, spherical and cylindrical aspects, so that, through schematizing the scientific character of Korea's clothing, its appropriateness is verified. As a matter of fact, since th-ere in no standardization of pattern whether for educational use or for mass-produced clothing, so that even the patterns used in computer-assisted design are executed according to the designer's personal skill, the reality is that after completion of construction the quality has not been uniform. For this schematization, inverse calculation of measurements pertaining to the calculation formula and of teaching materials has been referenced. In particular, the partial requlation of the calculation formula pertaining to the basic pattern construction, the method of making the collar midsection, and the construction method of the extreme and mean ratio adjustment can be adjusted for all measurements, thereby providing the establishment of a design criterion and the possibility of the standardization of construction methods. The production method for the pattern design is as follows: 1) The conic angle for the G gori's girth, length and neck width is fixed at 70 degrees. 2) The radius of the cone is B/2. 3) The calculation formula is B/4 + 1.5cm 4) The armhole formula is B/4, the same as in the basic method. 5) The width formula is B/10. 6) The ratio of the collar junction(width of collar + width of collar strip)to the gusset length is 5:8. 7) The length of the side seam is a length intersecting the armhole line and the conic radius (B/2), that is an arc that exceeds the length of the G gori's midsection; the component ratio of this length to the collar junction is accordingly 13:5. 8) The curve frame length of the back midsection is an arc exceeding B/4(the armhole line). 9) The ratio of the sleeve opening calculation formula to the armhole length is 8:5, forming an arc with the midsection length.
Sand compaction pile and stone column replacement methods have been commonly used for improving soft ground in the nearshore. Recently, DCM (Deep cement mixing) method, which can harden soft clays by mixing with cement, is more popularly used in such soft ground improvement. Sandy soils also exist in the seashore. Therefore, in this study, the effect of salinity in sea water and curing methods on the strength of cemented sand was evaluated in terms of unconfined compressive strength (UCS). The sand was mixed with five different cement ratios and distilled water or sea water, and then compacted into a cylindrical specimen. They were cured for 3 days under sea water for DCM construction condition and air cured for onshore curing condition. When a specimen was cured under sea water without confinement, it was easily collapsed due to initiation of cracks. When the cement ratio and curing method were the same, the UCS of the specimen without sea water was at maximum 3.5 times higher than those with sea water. The sea water used for mixing sand had more influence on strength reduction than the sea water used for curing. When the cement ratio was the same, the UCS of air-cured specimen was at average 2 times higher than those of water-cured specimen, regardless of water used.

In the aging society, TKRA is steadily increased because of joint diseases. Artificial joint used in TKRA generates metal artifacts in the MRI. Metal artifact may affect diagnosis. In study, We are going to minimize the effect of metal artifact to improve the value of diagnosis by changing the sequence and the type of artificial joint(Co-Cr, Ni-Ti). 1.5T AVANTO, plastic containers and each of the artificial joint (Normal, Co-Cr, NiTi) were used. After the artificial joints fixed in a paper cup was inserted in a plastic container of cylindrical, Signal intensity was measured. To obtain strong and uniform signal intensity, the plastic container was filled with water. We changed Sequences(T1 TSE, T2 TSE, PD TSE) and obtained an Axial image. After excepting the maximum and minimum values, We calculated the average of SNR, CNR and PSNR. Consequently, The SNR, CNR value of PD TSE are measured higher than these of T1 TSE, T2 TSE and The PSNR of Co-Cr is higher than this of Ni-Ti. The SNR of Co-Cr is similar to the SNR of normal comparing this of Ni-Ti. As a result, Using sequence of PD Tse and Co-Cr alloy is considered to be useful.
Purpose: There is an ongoing search for a stent material that produces a reduced susceptibility artifact. This study evaluated the effect of manganese (Mn) content on the MRI susceptibility artifact of ferrous-manganese (Fe-Mn) alloys, and investigated the correlation between MRI findings and measurements of Fe-Mn microstructure on X-ray diffraction (XRD). Materials and Methods: Fe-Mn binary alloys were prepared with Mn contents varying from 10% to 35% by weight (i.e., 10%, 15%, 20%, 25%, 30%, and 35%; designated as Fe-10Mn, Fe-15Mn, Fe-20Mn, Fe-25Mn, Fe-30Mn, and Fe-35Mn, respectively), and their microstructure was evaluated using XRD. Three-dimensional spoiled gradient echo sequences of cylindrical specimens were obtained in parallel and perpendicular to the static magnetic field (B0). In addition, T1-weighted spin echo, T2-weighted fast spin echo, and $T2^*$weighted gradient echo images were obtained. The size of the low-intensity area on MRI was measured for each of the Fe-Mn binary alloys prepared. Results: Three phases of ${\alpha}^{\prime}$-martensite, ${\gamma}$-austenite, and ${\varepsilon}$-martensite were seen on XRD, and their composition changed from ${\alpha}^{\prime}$-martensite to ${\gamma}$-austenite and/or ${\varepsilon}$-martensite, with increasing Mn content. The Fe-10Mn and Fe-15Mn specimens comprised ${\alpha}^{\prime}$-martensite, the Fe-20Mn and Fe-25Mn specimens comprised ${\gamma}+{\varepsilon}$ phases, and the Fe-30Mn and Fe-35Mn specimens exhibited a single ${\gamma}$ phase. The size of the low-intensity areas of Fe-Mn on MRI decreased relative to its microstructure on XRD with increasing Mn content. Conclusion: Based on these findings, proper conditioning of the Mn content in Fe-Mn alloys will improve its visibility on MR angiography, and a Mn content of more than 25% is recommended to reduce the magnetic susceptibility artifacts on MRI. A reduced artifact of Fe-Mn alloys on MRI is closely related to the paramagnetic constitution of ${\gamma}$-austenite and/or ${\varepsilon}$-martensite.

The thermal performance of the air receiver filled with porous material for 5kWt dish solar collector installed in Inha University, Korea, is experimentally investigated. The diameter of the parabolic dish is 3.2 m, and its focal length is 2 m. It consists of 10 small pieces of glasses which have their own curvatures, and the effective reflecting area is 5.9 m2. The reflectivity of the glass is 0.95, and the thermal capacity of the system is about 5 kW thermal. The aperture diameter of the cylindrical-shape receiver which is made of stainless steel is 100 mm, and the height is 210 mm. A quartz window is installed at the receiver aperture to minimize the convective heat loss and prevent air leakages. In order to increase the heat transfer area, porous material (nickel-alloy) is inserted into the receiver. Air flows into the upper part of the receiver, which is the opposite side of the aperture. After the air flows through the inside receiver, that goes out of the receiver through 3 exits which are located near the aperture. The volumetric flow rates of air are varied from 600 to 1200 L/min. The thermal efficiency of the receiver ranges from 82% - 92% depending upon the flow rate. The results show that the system efficiency and receiver efficiency increase as the volume flow rate increases as expected. These results from the experiment will be useful for the applications to air heating receivers and solar reactors.
The aim of this study was to evaluate bone promotion of bioreabsorbable guided tissue regeneration for generating new bone adjacent to osseointegrated implants in dogs. Third premolars were extracted in dgo mandibles. Cylindrical HA-coated implants were placed into extracted sockets in dogs. And test sites were protected by $GUIDOR^{(R)}$ matrix barrier. But control sites were not protected by membrances. The sites were examined clinically, radiologically, and histologically after 1, 2, and 4 months to assess bone regeneration. The results obtained were as foolows : 1. There were the good healing and the stability of $GUIDOR^{(R)}$ matrix barrier in experimental site during the healing period. 2. Complete resorption of $GUIDOR^{(R)}$ matrix barrier was clinically observed about 4 months postoperatively. 3. The woven bone changed to mature bone with a normal cortical plate and mature, resting periosteum after 4 months. 4. In experimental site, there was a significantly greater bone promtion than observed in control site. 5. $GUIDOR^{(R)}$ matrix barrier was useful for the preparation of immediate dental implants.

The purpose of this study was to compare the fracture and shear bonding strength of resin-modified glass ionomer cements with composite resin and conventional glass ionomer cement Three kinds of restorative materials including a composite resin (Z 100), a conventional glass ionomer cement(Fuji II), and resin- modified glass ionomer cements(Fuji II LC, Vitremer, Dyract and Compoglass) were investigated in this study. For measurement of fracture and shear bonding strength, disk samples of the materials were prepared and cylindrical samples of the materials were bonded the flat enamel and dentin surfaces according to manufactuer's instructions. All specimen were determinated by using an Instron testing machine with a crosshead speed of 1 mm/min. Then, each treated enamel and dentin surface was observed by SEM. The following results were obtained. 1. The bi-axial flexural strength of Z 100 was highest, and Fuji n LC, Vitremer, Dyract and Compoglass were significantly higher than Fuji n (P<0.05). 2. The shear bonding strength of Z 100 on the enamel and dentin surface was higher than other experimental groups except Fuji II LC(P<0.05). Fuji II LC was significantly higher than Fuji II (P<0.05), but in the case of Vitremer, Dyract and Compoglass were similar to Fuji II (P>0.05). 3. The shear bonding strength of Z 100 and Fuji II LC on the enamel surface were highly increased as compared with dentin surface (P<0.05), but in the case of Fuji II, Vitremer, Dyract and Compoglass were not different between enamel and dentin(P>0.05). 4. In the Z 100 and Fuji II LC, obvious etched enamel surface and exposed dentinal tubules according to remove of smear layer and smear plug were observed.

The aim of this study was to measure the shear bond strength (SBS) of different adhesive systems to calcium silicate-based materials (Biodentine and RetroMTA). Eighty cylindrical acrylic blocks, with a hole (5.0 mm diameter, 2.0 mm height) in each, were prepared. The holes were filled with Biodentine (BD) and RetroMTA (RMTA), and the specimens were divided into 2 groups. Each group was classified into 4 subgroups: Clearfil$^{TM}$ SE (CSE) ; AQ bond (AQ) ; All bond universal Self-etch (ABU-SE) ; and All bond universal Total-etch (ABU-TE). After the application of different adhesive systems, composite resin (Z350) was applied over BD and RMTA. The SBS was measured using a universal testing machine, and the data were compared using the Kruskal-Wallis test and the Mann-Whitney test. The highest and lowest values of SBS were observed for BD-ABU-SE and RMTA-AQ, respectively. No significant differences were found in the SBS between ABU-TE and ABU-SE and between ABU-TE and CSE to BD and RMTA. According to the data, BD showed a higher SBS than did RMTA when BD and RMTA are compared in the same adhesive agents. Further, among all groups, composite resin with ABU-SE showed better bond strength to BD and RMTA.
The diffusion of Sr-85, Cs-137, Co-60 and Am-241 in compacted domestic bentonite was studied, using a diffusion cell unit in which diffusion took place axially from the center of cylindrical bentonite sample body. The effects of compaction density and heat-treated bentonite on diffusion were analysed. And the diffusion mechanism of radionuclide was also analysed by evaluating the measured diffusivity of anion Cl-36. The apparent diffusivities obtained for Sr-85, Cs-137, Co-60 and Am-241 were $l.07{\times}10^{-11},\;6.705{\times}10^{-13},\;l.226{\times}10^{-13}\;and\; l.310{\times}10^{-14}m^2/sec$, respectively. When the as-pressed density of bentonite increased from $1.8\;to\;2.0g/cm^3$, the apparent diffusivity of Cs-137 decreased by quarter. In the case of bentonite heat-treated to $150^{\circ}C$, no significant change in diffusivity was observed, which showed the possibility that the domestic bentonite could be used as a chemical barrier to retard the radionuclide migration at below $150^{\circ}C$. From the calculated pore and surface diffusivity, the surface diffusion due to the concentration gradient of radionuclide sorbed on the solid phase was found to dominate greatly in total transport process.

In this study, we tried to precipitate calcium carbonate with carbonate ions decomposed from urea by plant extract and calcium ions dissolved in water. The clay particles carry a net negative charge on their surfaces. Such clay mineral was additionally mixed as a medium to improve soil strength and durability with environmentally-friendly way. The $1^{st}$ solution (plant extracts and urea) and the $2^{nd}$ solution (calcium chloride and clay) were mixed together with clean Nakdong River sand. Then, this mixed soil was compacted into a small cylindrical specimen and then air cured for 7 days in laboratory. The molar concentration of urea and calcium chloride was tested for three different conditions, 1, 5, and 7 mol. Three different clay contents (0, 1, and 3% per total weight) were mixed with sand. For each specimen, a series of unconfined compression test, a durability test, SEM, EDX and XRD analyses were carried out to evaluate its cementation and structure. As the molar concentration of the solution and clay content increased, the unconfined compressive strength and durability increased. The results of SEM, EDX and XRD analyses showed that calcite was precipitated around clay mineral. The thermogravimetry analysis indicated that calcium carbonate precipitated about 1~2% per total weight of the sample.
