Forging operations are non-stationary processes occurring because of indirect pressure, generally, under conditions of three-dimensional stress and deformation. Furthermore, due to friction and the constraints of die geometry, deformation is not homogeneous. Material flow and deformation are largely determined by the shape of the tools. It is well known that net-shape forging can improve the mechanical strength of the final product as well as reduce material waste. Oxygen-free copper that is used for electrical and electronic components has excellent electrical and thermal conductivity. Oxygen-free copper parts have a low productivity in cutting process. Thus, the forging process is performed in order to improve the low productivity in cutting process. The forging of oxygen-free copper for electrode body parts was modeled using finite element simulation and forging experiments that were conducted for producing electrode body parts at room temperature. In order to reduce the cost of cutting products, the forging was performed in a closed cavity to obtain near-net or net-shape parts.

Recently, the quality of products after the corresponding machining processes were scrutinized in the interest of maintaining a high product-quality standard. The structure and stability of machine tools are important for the prediction of product quality. A structural analysis needs to be carried out to achieve the stable design of machine tools before the initial design stage in the manufacturing process of a precision product. In this study, a structural analysis was carried out using a finite element analysis (FEA) simulation to obtain the design stability of the main parts of a grinding machine. The sizes and locations of both the maximum stress and deformation in consideration of the cutting force of the chuck, tail stock, and bearing of the grinding machine were analyzed. Finally the grinding machine was successfully developed.

With the advance of processing technology , so as to spare fuel, piston heads used in automobile reciprocating engine have complex 3-dimension, with respect to shape such as ovality, profile, eccentricity, offset, recess. Therefore, coming out of the existing process work used master cam. the process work is performed using a CNC lathe. For a precision processing, the processing work is need to make study of high speed feed gear synchronized with the rotative speed of main spindle. And then the high speed feeding system must maintain high dynamic stiffness, high speed and high positioning accuracy . In this paper, in order to achieve high speed cutting tool feeding. The linear brushless DC motor is used for satisfying this process work. The ball bush and turicite is used as the guidance of the feed gear system. Also linear encoders, digital servo amplifiers and controller are used for controlling driving motor. This paper presents the design and simulation of the new tool feed system for noncircular machining.
The understanding of tool-rock interaction mechanism is of high essence for improving the rock breaking efficiency and optimizing the drilling parameters in mechanical rock breaking. In this study, the tool-rock interaction models of indentation and cutting are carried out by employing the discrete element method (DEM) to examine the rock failure modes of various brittleness rocks and critical indentation and cutting depths of the ductile to brittle failure mode transition. The results show that the cluster size and inter-cluster to intra-cluster bond strength ratio are the key factors which influence the UCS magnitude and the UCS to BTS ratio. The UCS to BTS strength ratio can be increased to a more realistic value using clustered rock model so that the characteristics of real rocks can be better represented. The critical indentation and cutting depth decrease with the brittleness of rock increases and the decreasing rate reduces dramatically against the brittleness value. This effort may lead to a better understanding of rock breaking mechanisms in mechanical excavation, and may contribute to the improvement in the design of rock excavation machines and the related parameters determination.
Solar energy had become the main energy industry of renewable energy along with hydroelectric power generation. One of the technologies that contributed to the popularization of photovoltaic power and the decrease in the unit price of photovoltaic modules was the large-area solar cell. However, as the area increased, the light receiving area increased and the current value increased accordingly. Since power loss occurs when the current value was large, the number of busbar was increased to increase the current collection rate, and a technology to lower the current value through half-cutting was developed. The bus bar of the solar cell served as a passage through which the generated current was transmitted. This was because when the number of busbar decreases, the moving distance of electrons increased, so the amount of power generation decreases and when it increases, shadows occured. An important aspect of the electrode design was the optimal balance of these busbars and number of fingers. Therefore, in this study, the characteristics of the solar cell according to the number of front bus bars of the large-area solar cell were simulated using Griddler 2,5 pro. After selecting the number of busbar with the best characteristics, the difference was compared by varying the number of fingers and a better direction for the number of cutting was presented.

This paper develops an octree-based algorithm for machining simulation. Most commercial machining simulators are based on the Z map model, which has several limitations in terms of achieving a high level of precision in five-axis machining simulation. Octree representation being a three-dimensional (3D) decomposition method, an octree-based algorithm is expected to be able to overcome such limitations. With the octree model, storage requirement is reduced. Moreover, recursive subdivision is processed in the boundaries, which reduces useless computations. The supersampling method is the most common form of antialiasing and is typically used with polygon mesh rendering in computer graphics. The supersampling technique is being used to advance the efficiency of the octree algorithm..
Beijing, as a cradle of modern industry and the third largest metropolitan area in China, faces more responsibilities to adjust industrial structure and mitigate carbon emissions. The purpose of this study is aimed at predicting and comparing industrial carbon emissions of Beijing in ten scenarios under different policy focus, and then providing emission-cutting recommendations. In views of various scenarios issues, system dynamics has been applied to predict and simulate. To begin with, the model has been established following the step of causal loop diagram and stock flow diagram. This paper decomposes scenarios factors into energy structure, high energy consumption enterprises and growth rate of industrial output. The prediction and scenario simulation results shows that energy structure, carbon intensity and heavy energy consumption enterprises are key factors, and multiple factors has more significant impact on industrial carbon emissions. Hence, some recommendations about low-carbon mode of Beijing industrial carbon emission have been proposed according to simulation results.

In this paper, a surface generation model is presented to simulate surface roughness profile in turning operation. The simulation model takes into account the effect of tool geometry, process parameters, rotational errors of spindle, and the relative vibration between the cutting tool and workpiece. The surface roughness profiles are simulated based on the surface-shaping system. The model has been verified by comparing the experimental values with the simulation values. It is shown that the surface simulation model can properly predict the surface roughness profile.
This paper establishes a coding method system including the liberation and size distribution of recycling materials in the shredder operation. Every particle in the shredded product becomes a code number using the liberation model and size distribution equation transforming of weight percentage into particles number percentage. One set of database can be obtained after all particles have been coded. This database is suitable for the size reduction operation in the process simulation of waste recycling. Coupling with the developed air classification, sizing and separating operations, the whole process simulation will be completely established for diversified application. A typical simulation for the rolling cutting shredder product of waste TV had been demonstrated under this coding system. The breakage size distribution of Gaudin and Schumann equation were selected for the shredding operation simulation. The Gaudin's liberation model was suitable fur the liberation simulation. Both of these equations were transformed weight percentage into particles distribution for the necessary of particle coding method. A better recycling operation for this shredded solid waste can be concluded from the comparison of simulation results with their sorted grade, recovery or economic of materials in different processes.

In the end milling operation the deflection of the cutter is an important factor affecting the accuracy of machining with implications on the selection of cutting parameters and economics of the operation. The deflection of the end mill was studied both experimentally with strain gauge, tool dynamometer, laser measuring apparatus and on a finite element model of the cutting using ANSYS software. The deflection of machining tool with various helix angles was studied with FEM simulation and experiment. ANSYS analysis performed on the finite element model of the end mill provides deflection results which agree within 15.0% with the experimental ones.
