강원랜드 스키장 설계 (Design for the Kangwonland Ski Resort)

  • This design was submitted to an invited competition for the Ski Resort of Kangwon Land which was held by Kangwon Land Resort in August, 2003. The site is located at 1∼17 Gohan-ri Gohan-eup Jungsungun Kangwon-do and has an area of 5,000,000$m^2$. The objectives of this project were to revitalize the local economy of Sabuk, Gohan which is well Down for deserted coal mines, by creating a resort complex for family group users with an environmentally friendly ski facility. This design scheme addresses three areas of concerns: First, how to boost the local economy through the proposed ski resort. By limiting lodging facilities in the ski resort, we could induce more development in the nearby towns. In order to balance the economical benefit to towns of Sabuk and Gohan, we decided to have two separate ski base facilities in each town boundary. Second, how to encourage family-oriented use of the ski resort by designing user-friendly ski slope, especially for beginner skiers. We designed 50% more beginner-level ski slope compared to average ski resorts. Third, how to make environmentally-friendly ski resort by respecting the original land form. We minimized the damage to the natural environment by protecting valuable tree groves. Also, ski slopes are designed to reduce unnecessary earth movement. This was designed under the assumption that more valley-oriented slopes would result in less cutting and banking of earthwork; this assumption was verified in comparison with other ski resorts. It is expected that this desist would serve environmentally-friendly designs in ski slopes.

파괴형태를 고려한 암반사면의 신뢰도해석 (Reliability-Based Analysis for Rock Slopes Considering Failure Modes)

  • 본 논문은 새로 개발된 파괴형태를 고려한 암반사면의 신뢰도해석 모델의 검증을 위하여 예제를 통한 민감도해석을 수행하였고 그 결과를 수록하였다. 민감도분석에 이용된 매개변수는 암반 불연속면의 공학적 특성 (불연속면의 방향 및 강도),하중조건 및 암반사면의 기하학적 형상 등이다. 확률론적 해석에서 고려할 수 있는 불연속면의 방향 및 마찰각의 통계적 특성이 파괴형태를 고려한 암반사면의 안정에 큰 영향을 보였다. 암반사면의 안정은 굴착면의 방향에 가장 민감하였다. 예제분석을 통하여 개발된 파괴형태를 고려한 암반사면의 신뢰도모델은 암반사면의 안정성 조사에 성공적으로 적용할 수 있었다.

  • Stability of cut-slope is considered to have a deep relationship with rock types since rock has its own engineering and geological characteristic such as shear strength, durability, weathering profile, geological structures. Therefore, analysis of geological and engineering characterisics of rock mass is essential for the evaluation of rock slope stability This paper introduces the statistical data of slope failure cases which was collected from highway slopes constructed in sedimentary rock mainly of shale in Ky ng-sang Basin. Primary failure feature in this area is planar failure along the bedding regardless of slope geometry. Even a disasterous slope failure case due to the thick clay layer between the beddings was reported. Failures and rock fall were reported to ocurred frequently after the completion of cutting due to the weathering, so long-term slope stability should be considered as a important factors in design.

  • 암반사면에 대한 표면조사 시에는, 암반 사면파괴로 인한 재해의 원인이 될 수 있는 파쇄대에서의 응력이완, 노출되지 않은 불연속면 등의 요인들을 고려하지 못하는 한계가 있다. 이에 본 고에서는 사면의 절취 또는 절취사면의 유지관리에 있어서 사면 안정성에 대한 판단을 도와 사면 파괴로 인한 재해를 예방하는 방안을 제시하고자 한다.

  • The vertical slope of railway track is the differences of attitude for the horizontal distances between two positions of railway. It is better to be small vertical slope for the comfortable of passengers and the operation of railway system. However, the variable vertical slope is required that the simple vertical slope causes the huge quantities of embankment and cutting, the continuous welded rail tunnels, the continuous welded rail bridges, etc,. This research is for the relation between the vertical slopes and the trainset performances. This research shows that the effective vertical slopes for the operation of railway. The velocity of car and operation time and the consumed energy was considered for each vertical slope and type of car power system. The result of suitable vertical slope from this research is to be used for the design of railway plan.

  • 자연재해의 규모는 해를 거듭할수록 증대되고 있으며, 국가적으로 피해 복구를 위한 막대한 예산이 지출되고 있다. 이러한 피해의 근본적인 해결을 위해서는 사후대책에서 예방위주의 정책으로 패러다임의 전환이 필요할 때이다. 예방위주의 정책을 실천하기 위해서는 IT기술, 첨단정보수집기술, 운영기술 등 첨단기술의 통합을 유도하여 광범위한 자연재해를 예측하고 평가할 수 있도록 해야 할 것이다. 그러나 현재 우리나라는 IT 강국임에도 불구하고 현장정보수집에 있어 여전히 종이양식을 이용하는 경우가 대부분이다. 특히 과거 산사태 발생지와 사면정보가 종이형태로 유지되어 정보의 공유가 어렵고, 자료가 유실되거나 내용을 식별하기가 매우 힘들다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 정보수집과 시스템과의 호환성, 정보의 관리차원에서 절토사면을 대상으로 PDA를 이용하여 정보수집 및 관리시스템을 개발하고자 하였다. 그 결과 실시간으로 현장 정보를 다양한 형태(위치, 사진, 텍스트)로 수집이 가능하였으며, 현장에서 SMR법을 이용하여 암반사면의 안정성 여부를 개략적으로 판단할 수 있었다.

  • This study presents the analysis of ball end milling machinability and its application to the determination of the optimum feedrate in the CNC machining process of sculptured surface. The methods which estimate the cutting force system is approached experimentally. The estimation strategy, named technological processor, was applied to the machining process of sculptured surface for finding optimum variable feedrate. From the result of practical implementation for the test model, it is ascertain that the technological processor have brought the dispersion of force profiles. As compared with conventional imposing of cutting conditions, the machining time has reduced by more than 60%.

암반 사면에 대한 새로운 암반 분류안의 적용 (Applicaton of a Geomechanical Classification for Rock Slope)

  • Rock Mass classifications have been developed in many European countries. The most widely used classification methods are the Rock Mass Rating (RMR) system proposed by Bieniawski(1973) and the Q-system developed By Barton et al. (1974). These methods are also adopted at many mountain tunnels and subway sites in our country. Here, a geomechanical classification for slopeds in rock, the "Slope Mass Rating"(SMR) is presented for the preliminary assessment of slope stabiliyt. This method can be applied to excavation and support design in the front part of tunnel and cutting area as a guide line and recommendation on support methods which allow a systemmetic use of geomechanical classification for rock slopes.

시간경과에 따른 임도 절토비탈면의 식생피복도 변화 (Changing of Vegetation Coverage through Elapsed Years on Cutting Slope in Forest Roads)

  • The purpose of this study was investigated to the change of vegetation coverage by elapsed years on the cut slope of forest road in Jinju-si. The results obtained could be summarized as follows; The plant coverage on the cut slope of forest road was decreased hastily in first and second year after seeding. The plant coverage on the cut slope of forest road was increased as growth of seed-sprayed from third year. But the plants were began to competition with between sprayed seeds and invaded plants from third to fifth year after seed-spray. The numbers of invading plants were gradually increased as 581 individuals from sixth year after seed-spray. The cut slopes of the forest roads turned to a good site condition for growing of invasion plants. And also the total coverage on cut slope of forest roads by invading of surrounding plants was increased more. It showed that plant invasion on cut-slopes of forest roads would be mostly influenced by surrounding plants. The number of surrounding plants on the cut-slopes of forest roads was 59 species, and the number of invading plants showed 65 species. The invading species were high in order of Boehmeria tricuspis, Oplismens undulatifolius, Miscanthus sinensis var. purpurascens, Erechtites hieracifolia and Artemisia princeps var. Orientalis In the stepwise regression analysis, main factors affecting the coverage of vegetation on the cut-slopes of forest road showed in order of elapsed years, gravel contents(30~50%), middle, sandy loam, sandy clay-loam, soil hardness, aspect(NS), concave(凹) type and gravel contents(15~30%).

백두대간 절토 비탈면의 생태복원녹화 모델에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Slope Ecological Restoration and Revegetation Models of the Baekdu-Mountain Range)

  • Since enactment of the Baekdu-Mountain Range protection law in Dec. 31st 2003, great interest arose in recovery of the natural environment in the Baekdu-Mountain Range. Since the Baekdu-Mountain Range has formed boundaries between different regions and it is the mountain that crosses our country from East to West, there are so many roads that penetrate this area. Slopes made by the construction of roads have poor foundation for the growth of vegetation and it takes a long period to restore only with natural restoration force. For this reason, various methods of revegetation to restore the damages are implemented but until now, revegetation of domestic soil cutting slopes are mainly covered by foreign import grasses to stabilize and cover grounds early. As we depended upon foreign import grasses for slopes revegetation, the landscape did not match in harmony with surrounding vegetation and therefore, we could see that these foreign grasses are withered in 2~3 years after the revegetation works and slopes become barren again. However, currently, there are no applicable standards for designs of green hill, desirable revegetation methods for the hill areas, roads and recovery models. Therefore, in this study, we investigated the status of revegetation plants and revegetation methods for the hill areas of the Baekdu-Mountain Range (azimuth, degree of tilt, and tilted places). Based on this, we attempted to find the desirable recovery models for the hill areas of the Baekdu-Mountain Range.
