  • It is very important to secure the adhesion durability between the base film and the conductive paste for the development of a sensor for detecting hazardous chemicals. In this study, an ester binder was used to improve the adhesive properties which can be a problem when applying the sensor to the cross cut 0B or 1B grade. This problem was found while evaluating the adhesive properties by coating the polyaniline/graphene nano plate (GNP) paste on the polyethylene terephthalate (PET) film. When 10 wt% or more of the ester-based binder was added, the cross cut grade to which the sensor can be applied was 3B or higher. It was confirmed that the excessive addition of the binder may affect the electrical properties of the conductive paste and actually decrease the reactivity to sulfuric acid. To improve the electrical property, a carbon black (CB) content was varied resulting in the optimum electrical property observed at 2 wt% of CB.

  • We study on the privacy preserving data mining, PPDM for short, by using randomization. The theoretical PPDM based on the secure multi-party computation techniques is not practical for its computational inefficiency. So we concentrate on a practical PPDM, especially randomization technique. We survey various privacy measures and study on the privacy preserving mining of association rules by using randomization. We propose a new randomization operator, binomial selector, for privacy preserving technique of association rule mining. A binomial selector is a special case of a select-a-size operator by Evfimievski et al.[3]. Moreover we present some simulation results of detecting an appropriate parameter for a binomial selector. The randomization by a so-called cut-and-paste method in [3] is not efficient and has high variances on recovered support values for large item-sets. Our randomization by a binomial selector make up for this defects of cut-and-paste method.

  • The aging society increases emergency situations of the elderly living alone and a variety of social crimes. In order to prevent them, techniques to detect emergency situations through voice are actively researched. This study proposes CutPaste-based anomaly detection model using multi-scale feature extraction in time series streaming data. In the proposed method, an audio file is converted into a spectrogram. In this way, it is possible to use an algorithm for image data, such as CNN. After that, mutli-scale feature extraction is applied. Three images drawn from Adaptive Pooling layer that has different-sized kernels are merged. In consideration of various types of anomaly, including point anomaly, contextual anomaly, and collective anomaly, the limitations of a conventional anomaly model are improved. Finally, CutPaste-based anomaly detection is conducted. Since the model is trained through self-supervised learning, it is possible to detect a diversity of emergency situations as anomaly without labeling. Therefore, the proposed model overcomes the limitations of a conventional model that classifies only labelled emergency situations. Also, the proposed model is evaluated to have better performance than a conventional anomaly detection model.

  • The spatial accuracy becomes first-order when second-order conservation schemes including the non-conservative interpolation in general Chimera method are used. To ensure the solution accuracy, the discontinuities must be located away from the overlapped regions, and the length of overlapped region also must be proportional to the grid spacing. In this paper, a proposed method, cut-paste algorithm, is used to satisfy above constraints. The cut-paste algorithm can generate the optimal mesh inteface region automatically, To validate the spatial and temporal accuracy due to the non-conservative interpolation, inviscid and viscous problems are tested.

  • The heterogeneous Onju citrus genes (A=20.57, C=32.71, G=30.01, U=16.71%) and coffee genes (A=20.66, C=31.76, G=30.187, U=16.71%) have the same genetic ratio of 95% or more. It is known that gene compatibility is generally not possible with this group. However, it can be grafted if the conditions of Chargaff rule and Shannon Entropy are met with gene functional-similarity of more than 95%, and it becomes a new breed of Coffrange. We calculated the world's first BCJM matrix for DNA-RNA and published it in US patents and international journals. All animals and viruses are similar to human genes. Based on this, it was announced in June in the British matrix textbook by solving the genetic characteristics of COVID-19 and the human body. In plants, it is treated with BCJM-Transposon treatment, a technique that easily changes gene location. Simulation predicted that the matrix could be successful with Cut & Paste and Transpose.

  • Although the screen printing technology using photosensitive carbon nanotube (CNT) paste has many advantages such as low cost, simple process, uniform emission, and capability of mass production, the CNT paste needs to be improved further in CNT dispersion, printability, adhesion, electrical conductivity, population of CNT emitters, etc. Ball milling has been frequently employed to prepare the CNT paste as ball milling can mix its ingredients very well and easily cut the long, entangled CNTs. This study carried out a parametric approach to fabricating the CNT paste in terms of low-energy ball milling and a paste composition. Field emission properties of the CNT paste was characterized with CNT dispersion and electrical conductivity which were measured by a UV-Vis spectrophotometer and a 4-point probe method, respectively. Main variables in formulating the CNT paste include a length of milling time, and amounts of CNTs and conductive inorganic fillers. In particular, we varied not only the contents of conductive fillers but also used two different sizes of filler particles of ${\mu}m$ and nm ranges. Among many variations of conductive fillers, the best field emission characteristics occurred at the 5 wt% fillers with the mixing ratio of 3:1 for ${\mu}m$-and nm-sizes. The amount and size of fillers has a great effect on the morphology, processing stability, and field emission characteristics of CNT emitter dots. The addition a small amount of nm-size fillers considerably improved the field emission characteristics of the photosensitive CNT paste.

  • The pH changes in 4 small cavities prepared at the facial inner dentin and lingual outer dentin of the cervical and apical portion of root filled with calcium hydroxide pastes were investigated. Forty extracted permanent teeth with single canal were instrumented with step-back method, and then 4 small cavities were prepared. Two inner dentin cavities were cut a distance of about 1.0mm from the canal wall and two outer dentin cavities were cut to a depth of about 0.5mm from the root surface. Root canals and prepared cavities were flushed with 17% EDTA, and then irrigated with 5% NaOCl to remove smear layer. Teeth were randomly divided into four groups. Control group was not filled and the remaining other groups were filled with mixture of calcium hydroxide and distilled water, Vitapex$^{(R)}$ paste and Pulpdent$^{(R)}$ paste respectively. The pH change of the dentin in each cavity was measured at 0, 1, 3, 7, 14, 21, 28, 60, 90 days with pH microelectrode(WPI Co., USA). The results were as follows : 1. The groups obturated with Pulpdent$^{(R)}$ paste and Aqueous calcium hydroxide produced the increased pH level at 1 day and maintained plateau over next 3weeks and decreased after 3weeks. 2. The group obturated with Vitapex$^{(R)}$ paste observed no significant pH change until 2weeks and slight increased pH at 3weeks and sequential increasing after 3weeks. But, the pH in the group obturated with Vitapex$^{(R)}$ paste remained significantly below the pH measured in the other two experimental groups(P<0.05). 3. All experimental groups showed pH level similar to control group after 28 days. 4. The pH of outer dentin is slightly higher than that of inner dentin. There is no significant difference in pH level between apical and cervical dentin throughout the duration of the experiment, though apical dentin showed slightly higher pH than cervical dentin at 1 day(P<0.05).

  • Long Carbon Nanotubes(CNTs) were cut by diamond lapping film followed by observation using SEM. The paste was prepared by mixing shortened CNT powder, ${\alpha}$-terpineol used as a solvent, and ethylcellulose as a binder. This paste was deposited on glass substrate by screen printing and extruded by syringe. After screen printing, several post-treatments were performed to control the alignment of CNTs perpendicular to the substrate. The deposited CNTs were scratched by sand paper or diamond lapping film. It was also treated by attachment followed by an immediate detachment using the adhesive tape. SEM observation indicates that excellent vertical alignment of CNTs could be achieved by simple post-treatments from the screen printed-CNTs paste. Similar alignment of CNTs is also observed in the as-extruded CNTs paste.
