A Study of Integrated Evaluation of System Lighting and User Centered Guideline Development - Focused on the Lighting Design Method for Office Space - (시스템조명 통합평가 및 사용자 맞춤형 가이드라인 개발 연구 - 사무공간 설계방법을 중심으로 -)

  • Lighting in indoor space is being changed to system lighting converged with IT technology. Office space lighting with incandescent lamps and fluorescent lamps was completed through overall lighting plan by illumination in most cases, but convergence between LED lighting and IT technology enables the technology of responding to user requirements to be realized. Optical physical quantity suitable for humans and the lighting environment in accordance with user's sensibility, based on space function and user's behavior, would contribute to the improvement of service productivity, energy reduction, and enhancement of emotional satisfaction by providing user optimized lighting solution. Thus, user-customized system lighting guidelines to be applied with integration indicators of optics and sensibility are required. For the design elements required by users, environmental factors, product characteristics, optical characteristics, and sensibility factors are drawn from the design cases for office space and the survey, and the design check list and evaluation indicators are considered to reflect the requirements in the design and requirement indicators to give integrated satisfaction for optics and sensibility are developed. Purpose-centered design method from the user's viewpoint is applied to function-focused design through scenario, and it should be applied flexibly, as the new lightning design method solutions, to the concept design stage of space lighting design and device development. This paper, therefore, presents user-customized guidelines by pursuing the optics and sensibility evaluation and design method combining the requirement conditions and scenario, to be used for lighting content development and design.

A Dynamic Internet Address Model for Providing Customized Information (사용자 맞춤형 정보 제공을 위한 동적 인터넷 주소 모델)

  • The referents of internet addresses are no longer limited to web sites. A new address service by the international organization for the internet address (ICANN) introduces an open space for the TLD (Top Level Domain) strings so that each service, content, product, and other linguistic expressions may be allowed. The open TLD addresses are more suitable for representing the address of service units, contents, or products. In this paper, as an alternative to static Internet address service to return a consistent mapping result regardless of a user-specific different requirements, we design a dynamic internet address mapping model that returns mapping result to suit user particular requirements. In addition, we propose a method for implementing a internet address service without any changes in the existing domain protocols. It may implement a dynamic internet address by attaching to a encoded user's metadata and environment data within a internet address representation, and adding the module for dynamic mapping to the name servers. Through this proposal, trying to expand the functions of internet address, it is expected to be able to provide customized informaiton retrieval services for each user by using just internet address.

A Study on the Types and Strategies of Customizable Fashion Brands on Web Media (웹 미디어에 나타난 커스터마이저블 패션 브랜드의 유형 및 전략 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze fashion brands' contents and characteristics of the participation platform of users, to assess the types and strategies of mass customization(MC). Most fashion brands sell one professional content: Shoes brands were the most common, followed by bags, unisex wear, and menswear. In consumer's design selection elements, changes in color and materials were the most common. For the personalization service elements, monogram service was the most common. The results of MC types analysis were as follows, Customized Standardization was the most common, followed by Tailored Customization, Pure Customization, and Segmented Standardization. For the types according to changes in products and expression methods, Cosmetic was the most common. And the classification according to modulation, Modularizers were the most common. For Creativity, brands in the making stage were the most common. For Flexibility, although brands different methods, high flexibility by modularizing design elements of products and accomplishing various design through participation. The Ease of use for various expression was generally high, parallel to Flexibility. For Durability, because consumers could receive end products only when they participated in the assembly stage in the on-line purchase, their continuous participation was not possible, so they participated only once. The typical types and strategy of MC were analyzed. The Customized Standardization type was the most common in shoes, bag, and womenswear brands. It was the Cosmetic type which could change colors and materials, the Modularizers, and had high Flexibility and Ease of use and low Durability.

A Qualitative Research about the CRM Experiences of Apparel Brand Customers (의류브랜드 소비자의 고객관계관리 경험에 관한 탐색적 연구 - 남성복, 여성복, 캐주얼, 스포츠의류 소비자의 비교를 중심으로 -)

  • The purpose of this study were 1) to analyze customer relationship management(CRM) based on the online customer experiences by product types (i.e., men's, women's, casual, sports wear), 2) to analyze CRM based on the off-line customer experiences by product type, and 3) to examine customer purchase behavior of fashion products and internet usage behavior by product types. Survey and 1:1 interview were conducted from January 13th to May 16th, 2005. Six consumers from each brand (i.e., 3 loyal customers and 3 general customers) in a total of 24 customers were selected from each product type. For the data analysis, content analysis and descriptive statistics (i.e. frequency) were used. Among the key study findings first, as a result of the on-line CRM experience, the customers of men's wear preferred receiving customized information through e-mail or SMS service. The customers of sports wear preferred receiving a different level of information and participating in customized product service. Second, as a result of the off-line CRM experience, the customers of men's wear need to be encouraged to join a membership at a sales encounter and the customers of women's wear preferred receiving quick information of new products and participating in a design development planning of the merchandising process. Third, the purchasing behavior of the customers of women's wear are influenced mostly by the salesperson and the store atmosphere when they purchase clothes and the customers of men's wear are price-sensitive. The results of this study can be used when fashion brands perform strategic planning and decision making on CRM.

Developing & Applying a Template-based Game-type Learning Contents Authoring Tool (템플릿 기반 게임형 학습콘텐츠 저작 도구의 구현 및 적용)

  • Recently, there has been much research to improve immersiveness and learning achievement using the edutainment that combines learning with game. However, from the viewpoint of instructors, there has been little research to solve technical difficulties and to reduce the authoring time in tailoring a game-type learning content. Therefore, in this paper, we propose an authoring tool, which enable instructors to tailor game-type learning contents reflecting their own preferences in spite of no backgrounds of technical skills. The authoring tool proposed has key features to hide authoring handicaps and reduce authoring time by providing the overall template for customized game-type learning contents based on template concept. To evaluate the effectiveness of the authoring tool, we applied it to teachers and elementary school students. From the evaluation, the result represented that instructors can make their own learning contents without being aware of technical problems within a short time. Also, the result showed that the learning achievement degree and immersive depth of students have been significantly improved.

Personalized Nutrition Intervention for Weight Control With Korean Foods via Internet Service System

  • People with obesity or over-weight need nutritional intervention to reduce their weight, because weight loss reduces the incidence rate of chronic diseases such as hypertension, type II diabetes, cardiovascular diseases and cancer in obese people. This study was to develop a system for individualized weight control program available both for wired and wireless internet users. This system is especially useful to users carrying wireless internet mobile device. If they input their physical information (height, weight and waist circumference) and mineral levels measured by hair tissue mineral analysis, the system provides evaluation of their health status and metabolic related functions such as endocrine and carbohydrate tolerance. Based on these evaluations, food menus are then offered to them to manage their health status and to improve their metabolic related physiological functions in a personalized way. The system also provides more information for recommended foods, such as nutritional information, food ingredients, recipes, and videos related to cooking. Bibimbap was selected as an example dish for customized contents for mobile web. Bibimbap is one of the most well-known Korean traditional dishes prepared with various kinds of ingredients including several different kinds of vegetables, meat, and egg so that it is a low calorie dish as well as a well-balanced diet. Therefore, this system developed in this study allows the mobile users to access web site through wired wireless internet everywhere and provides a customized content to the users to manage their weight and finally to achieve a desirable weight.

A Study on Self-medication for Health Promotion of the Silver Generation

  • With the development of medical care in the 21st century and the rapid development of the 4th industry, electronic devices and household goods taking into account the physical and mental aging of the silver generation have been developed, and apps related to health and health are generally developed and operated. The apps currently used by the silver generation are a form that provides information on diseases by focusing on prevention rather than treatment, such as safety management apps for the elderly living alone and methods for preventing diseases. There are not many apps that provide information on foods that have a direct effect and nutrients in that food, and research on apps that can obtain information about individual foods is insufficient. In this paper, we propose an app that analyzes food factors and provides self-medication for health promotion of the silver generation. This app allows the silver generation to conveniently and easily obtain information such as nutrients, calories, and efficacy of food they need. In addition, this app collects/categorizes healthy food information through a textom solution-based crawling agent, and stores highly relevant words in a data resource. In addition, wide deep learning was applied to enable self-medication recommendations for food. When this technique is applied, the most appropriate healthy food is suggested to people with similar eating patterns and tastes in the same age group, and users can receive recommendations on customized healthy foods that they need before eating. This made it possible to obtain convenient healthy food information through a customized interface for the elderly through a smartphone.

  • Teachers should be able to reorganize the curriculum according to the student level, reorganize textbooks freely, and distribute them to students. However, current paper-textbooks are difficult to modify or edit some contents and distribute them to students, also current digital textbooks are grouped into units, so the order or educational resources cannot be reconstructed. In addition, The digital textbooks are difficult to update external links or the latest resources, and to contain various multimedia materials or high-definition realistic content due to capacity limitations. Therefore, this study presented functions: teaching and learning and evaluation functions, resources search and sharing functions, learning records and analysis functions, screen showing and printing functions, so that teachers can provide customized learning by level to students using digital textbooks. Through the expert Delphi survey, detailed functions for each area were divided into teachers and students. We proposed expanding and developing digital textbooks to various subjects, and distributing various teaching and learning models using digital textbooks.

  • In the user-centered design paradigm, information systems are created entirely tailored to the users who will use them. When the functions of a complex system meet a simple user interface, users can use the system conveniently. While web personalization services are emerging as a major trend in portal services, portal companies are competing for a second service, such as introducing 'integrated communication platforms'. Until now, the role of the portal has been content and search, but this time, the goal is to create and provide the personalized services that users want through a single platform. Personalization service is a login-based cloud computing service. It has the characteristic of being able to enjoy the same experience at any time in any space with internet access. Personalized web services like this have the advantage of attracting highly loyal users, making them a new service trend that portal companies are paying attention to. Researchers spend a lot of time collecting research-related information by accessing multiple information sources. There is a need to automatically build interest information profiles for each researcher based on personal presentation materials (papers, research projects, patents). There is a need to provide an advanced customized information service that regularly provides the latest information matched with various information sources. Continuous modification and supplementation of each researcher's information profile of interest is the most important factor in increasing suitability when searching for information. As researchers' interest in unstructured information such as technology markets and research trends is gradually increasing from standardized academic information such as patents, it is necessary to expand information sources such as cutting-edge technology markets and research trends. Through this, it is possible to shorten the time required to search and obtain the latest information for research purposes. The interest information profile for each researcher that has already been established can be used in the future to determine the degree of relationship between researchers and to build a database. If this customized information service continues to be provided, it will be useful for research activities.

  • In response to the challenges posed by a super-aged society, local authorities are conducting educational programs on smartphone usage tailored for the elderly. However, obstacles such as the limitations of one-to-many education and suboptimal learning outcomes for the elderly have hindered the efficacy of smartphone education. This study suggests an educational service intended for direct application in offline settings, considering the identified problems. Through the utilization of generative AI, the proposed app identifies specific challenges encountered by users during actual smartphone use, offering personalized exercises to facilitate customized and repetitive learning experiences for individual users. When integrated with existing local government education initiatives, this app is anticipated to enhance the efficiency of smartphone education by providing personalized, one-on-one training that is efficient in terms of time and content.
