  • In recent, a general trend is observed towards more customized products and shorter product life cycles in manufacturing enterprises. In these enterprises, customers often wish to influence the product they order and to get a variant of product that meets their requirements. This is called as customer-oriented make-to-order manufacturing environment. This paper establishes a methodology of implementing information system for developing product data integration system (PDIS) which is suitable for customer-oriented make-to-order manufacturing enterprise, and also presents the case of implementing PDIS for a ship engine product in 'H' heavy industry using the established methodology. At present, the implemented PDIS is successfully operating. As a result, PDIS reduces delivery time and improves customer relationships. Moreover, the case shows that PDIS can be used as a tool for improving inter-department coordination within a company during product life cycle.

  • Online customer review data can be easily collected on the Internet and also they describe sentimental evaluation of a product in different aspects. Previous sentiment analysis studies evaluate the degree of sentiment with review data, which may have multiple sentences describing different product aspects. Since different aspects of a product can be described in a sentence, the proposed method suggested analyzing a sentence to build a pair of a product aspect terms and sentimental terms. Bidirectional LSTM and CRF algorithms were used in this paper. A pair of aspect terms and sentimental terms are evaluated by pre-defined evaluation rules. The paper suggested using the result of evaulation as inputs of QFD, so that the quantified customer voices effect on the requirements of a new product. Online reviews for a hair dryer were used as an example showing that the proposed approach can derive reasonable sentiment analysis results.

Based on this, two studies were conducted. Study 1 examined the effect of strong and weak positive reviews on consumer satisfaction according to the rating. Study 2 examined the effect of image information on consumer satisfaction. Results: The results revealed that the lower the Michelin rating, the more positive review had a significant effect on consumer satisfaction. The higher the rating, the more image information had an effect on consumer satisfaction. Expectations for Michelin three-star restaurants are higher than those of two-star restaurants, so customers are more likely to be used negatively when writing reviews. • Purpose: This study is a quantitative study and analyzes the effect of evaluating the extreme and usefulness of product reviews on sales performance by using text mining techniques based on product review big data. We investigate whether the perceived helpfulness of product reviews serves as a mediating factor in the impact of product review extremity on sales performance. Research design, data and methodology: The analysis emphasizes customer interaction factors associated with both product review helpfulness and sales performance. Out of the 8.26 million Amazon product reviews in the book category collected by He & McAuley (2016), text mining using natural language processing methodology was performed on 300,000 product reviews, and the hypothesis was verified through hierarchical regression analysis. Results: The extremity of product reviews exhibited a negative impact on the evaluation of helpfulness. And the helpfulness played a mediating role between the extremity of product reviews and sales performance. Conclusion: Increased inclusion of extreme content in the product review's text correlates with a diminished evaluation of helpfulness. The evaluation of helpfulness exerts a negative mediating effect on sales performance. This study offers empirical insights for digital market distributors and sellers, contributing to the research field related to product reviews based on review ratings.

  • The main propose of this research is to examine the performances in ERP introduced enterprises by utilizing BSC model proposed by Kaplan and Norton [1992], to realize this goals, a theoretical review on ERP, BSC, and other related issues is performed in advance, accordingly, research model was generated. In conceptual model analysis, we focused on casual relationships among four performance measurement indicators after introduction of ERP proposed by Kaplan and Norton [2000]. To test the model, structural equation modeling is employed to analyze data collected from 164 enterprises which have introduced ERP for more than 1 year. Survey respondents were confined within the representatives of each enterprise's ERP. Hypotheses proposed in our research are tested by covariance structure model, results are listed as follow : First, learning and growth performance is significant factors for improving both internal process performance and customer performance; second, process performance has a positive impact on customer performance third, despite that customer performance is positively related to financial performance, no direct relationship is found between internal process performance and financial performance, an indirect relationship is built through intermediate medium of customer performance. Based upon these results, we discuss implications at the latter part of paper. Meanwhile, we also provide research limitations, and future research in the final section.
