  • 이종궤간(협궤/표준궤/광궤)이 존재하는 유라시아 철도네트워크(TCR 및 TSR 등)의 운송시간 및 비용을 절감하기 위하여, 이 구간을 자유롭게 운행할 수 있는 궤간 가변 장치의 개발이 중요하다. 따라서 궤간가변차량의 안전성을 확보하기 위하여 각 시스템 및 부품들의 구조해석을 통한 건전성을 평가하는 것이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 개발중인 궤간가변 윤축시스템의 안정성 검토의 연구의 일환으로서, 궤간 변환구간 및 곡선부 주행시 차륜의 횡압하에 잠금부품들 사이의 접촉응력을 유한요소해석 시뮬레이터를 이용하여 평가하였다.

  • Safety of railroad is result of reliability which is received from test & evaluation of system. Railroad system is consisted of various sub system such as vehicle, supply of electric power, signal, communication, rail track construction, operation. To secure safety of railroad, evaluation about parts, assembly, sub system, whole system etc.. that compose railroad is essential. In this paper, I wish to describe for results that analyze korean tilting vehicle's derailment coefficient developed by national research achievement. Confirmed that is possible even if speed up, curved line department running speed that estimate korean tilting vehicle's running safety in curved line track of Jungang Line about 20 km/h than present operating speed.

Computational analysis and design formula development for the design of curved plates for ships and offshore structures

  • In general, cylindrically curved plates are used in ships and offshore structures such as wind towers, spa structures, fore and aft side shell plating, and bilge circle parts in merchant vessels. In a number of studies, it has been shown that curvature increases the buckling strength of a plate under compressive loading, and the ultimate load-carrying capacity is also expected to increase. In the present paper, a series of elastic and elastoplastic large deflection analyses were performed using the commercial finite element analysis program (MSC.NASTRAN/PATRAN) in order to clarify and examine the fundamental buckling and collapse behaviors of curved plates subjected to combined axial compression and lateral pressure. On the basis of the numerical results, the effects of curvature, the magnitude of the initial deflection, the slenderness ratio, and the aspect ratio on the characteristics of the buckling and collapse behavior of the curved plates are discussed. On the basis of the calculated results, the design formula was developed to predict the buckling and ultimate strengths of curved plates subjected to combined loads in an analytical manner. The buckling strength behaviors were simulated by performing elastic large deflection analyses. The newly developed formulations were applied in order to perform verification analyses for the curved plates by comparing the numerical results, and then, the usefulness of the proposed method was demonstrated.

  • Hydroforming is a metal forming process that enables circular metal tubes to be formed in to the parts with the complex cross section along the curved axial direction. Recently this hydroforming process is largely used for the production of the automotive parts. This paper presents the results of tube bending and hydroforming simulations in cases of the varying weld line positions of the tube. Ten cases of prebending and hydroforming simulations are carried out to find the optiaml weld line position.

  • The Job of Milling in the Local Skill Contest in 1996 was to assemble parts into a complete whole of the parts number 1, 3, 4 worded by Milling Machine and the parts number 2 worked by Machining Center. In the parts of Milling Machine, the Job was to work 45$^{\circ}$angle working, T-slot, dovetail, the correct position drilling, rimming, boring, etc. In the Machining Center, there were the way of calculation of point of contact of 'R' contour curved line and lots of working elements. So, it was possible to work the parts and assemble them within the time limit only through the program to be made out in the way to shorten working hours.

제방만곡부에서의 침투특성에 관한 수치해석적 연구 (A Study on theProperty of Seepage in the Curved Levee by Numerical Analysis)

  • 본 논문은 만곡부 제방에 대해 곡률각도, 곡률반경에 따라 3차원 해석을 실시하여 침투특성을 규명하였다. 제방만곡부에서 동수경사는 2차원 해석 결과에 비해 외측제방에서는 감소하였고, 내측제방에서는 증가하였다. 곡률각도와 곡률반경이 작을수록 2차원 해석 대비 동수경사의 변화가 큰 경향을 나타내었으며, 곡률각도보다는 곡률반경이 동수경사에 미치는 영향이 큰 것으로 나타났다. 한계동수경사에 의한 파이핑 안전율 산정결과, 2차원 해석에 대비하여 안전율은 외측제방에서는 2~5%가 증가되었고, 내측제방에서는 4~12%가 감소되었다. 이 감소폭을 고려해 볼 때 제방만곡부에 대해 2차원 해석을 실시하고 파이핑에 대한 허용안전율 Fs=2.0보다 0.1~0.3정도 더 크게 설계하면 만곡부의 안전율은 약간 감소되지만 안정성 확보에는 무리가 없는 것으로 판단되었다.

AFP mandrel development for composite aircraft fuselage skin

  • Automatic fiber placement (AFP) has become a popular processing technique for composites in the aerospace industry, due to its ability to place prepregs or tapes precisely in the exact position when complex parts are being manufactured. This paper presents the design, analysis, and manufacture of an AFP mandrel for composite aircraft fuselage skin fabrication. According to the design requirements, an AFP mandrel was developed and a numerical study was performed through the finite element method. Linear static load analyses were performed considering the mandrel structure self-weight and a 2940 N load from the AFP machine head. Modal analysis was also performed to determine the mandrel's natural frequencies. These analyses confirmed that the proposed mandrel meets the design requirements. A prototype mandrel was then manufactured and used to fabricate a composite fuselage skin. Material load tests were conducted on the AFP fuselage skin curved laminates, equivalent flat AFP, and hand layup laminates. The flat AFP and hand layup laminates showed almost identical strength results in tension and compression. Compared to hand layup, the flat AFP laminate modulus was 5.2% higher in tension and 12.6% lower in compression. The AFP curved laminates had an ultimate compressive strength of 1.6% to 8.7% higher than flat laminates. The FEM simulation predicted strengths were 4% higher in tension and 11% higher in compression than the flat laminate test results.

Flat TV Front Cover의 Gas 사출 금형에 대한 연구 (A Study on Gas-Assisted Plastic Injection Mould of Flat TV Front Cover)

  • The major problems of a plastic injection mould can be devided into two kinds, one is in mould another in injected parts. Most of defects of the former comes from mould design, such as, structure and working. The latter are weld line, warpage, sink mark, burning, flow mark, scratching, shading, black hole and so on. Most of problems in injection molding are difficult to find the reason because of complexity. The purpose of this paper is to improve the quality of plastic injection mould and parts with inquiring the counter plan and analizing troubles of the part of Flat TV Front Cover by flow control method and gas-assisted injection moulding. For minimizing defects of the injection moulded parts, computer aided simulation method for injection mould filling was used. Based on these numerical results, the guidelines of mould design and injection processing condition were established. As a result, the improvement of quality, such as minimizing surface defects of injection moulding parts and troubles in mould was achieved.

  • Due to thermal hydraulics phenomena, such as thermal stratification, various events occur to the parts of a nuclear power plant during their lifetimes: e.g. cracked and dislocated pipes and thermally fatigued, bent, and damaged supports. Due to the operational characteristics of the parts of the steam generator feedwater inlet horizontal pipe, thermal stratification takes place particularly frequently. However, the thermal stress due to thermal stratification at the steam generator feedwater inlet horizontal pipe was not reflected in the design stage of old plants(Kori Unit No.1, 2, 3 and 4, Yeonggwang Unit No. 1 and 2, and Uljin Unit No. 1 and 2; referred to as old-style power plants hereinafter). Accordingly, a verification experiment was performed for thermal stratification in the horizontal inlet nozzle steam generator of old-style plants. If thermal stratification occurred in the horizontal pipe of an old-style power plant, numerical analysis of the temperature distribution of the pipes and fluids was conducted. The temperature distributions were compared at the curved part of the pipe and the horizontal pipe before and after the installation of the improved thermal sleeves designed to alleviate thermal stress due to thermal stratification. The thermal stress reduction measure was proven effective at the steam generator inlet horizontal pipe and the curved part of the pipe.

소매입체구성을 위한 오그림 (Easing Contraction for Three-dimensional construction of Sleeve)

  • Dressmaking which is defined as the process of changing two-dimensional cloth into three-dime-nsional clothes needs a lot of joining parts. Particularly sleeve needs a more curved surface than other joining parts owing to shape of the top of arms. Easing is used to control the fullness along the seam-line to create the fullness curved shape of the sleeves and it plays an important role in increasing three-dimensional constru-ction power. unfortunately sufficient data regarding effective easing conditions to increase three-dimensional construction power of sleeve are not available. Therefore the author tried to investigate the effective easing conditions to increase three-dimensional construction power of sleeve by cap height. Easing construction power of sleeve by cap height. Easing contraction made by different angles on the sleeve cap curve line previous work were examined and the effective easing conditions according to the variation of angles were determined. This study contains the following objectives. Firstly to obtain the easing contraction ratio in sleeve according to the above easing conditions. Secondly to investigate the three-dimensional construction power or sleeve by the factors of easing contraction. Thirdly to determine for each sleeve the effective easing conditions on the basis of the calcuative easing contraction ratio in the sleeve patterns by cap heights.
