Purpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the educational outcome of applied integrated curriculum in a nursing college. In order to evaluate the educational outcome students' ability was surveyed for the four main elements of the curriculum. Four main elements were ability in application of nursing process, communication skill, critical thinking disposition, and competence in nursing profession. Method: The subjects were 97 nursing students who had been educated by the integrated curriculum for 4 years. Data were collected using self-report questionnaire on Dec. 6, 2006, and analyzed by using ANOVA, t-test, and pearson correlation coefficient. Result: The mean score of ability in application of nursing process was 3.78/5.00, communication skill was 3.98/5.00, critical thinking disposition was 3.73/5.00, and competence in nursing profession was 4.04/5.00. There was a significant correlation between four main elements of the curriculum. There was a significant difference in students' level of ability according to subjects' evaluation to the curriculum. Conclusion: The study results suggested that review and supplementation of the integrated curriculum. And further study on the educational outcome in order to upgrade the curriculum are needed.

Culinary department of college may gradually becoming up to the center of food science with the growing of the foodservice industry in the Korea. Espcailly, culinary department of hotel is expected to be the popular job by opening Cook Law. According to the change of perception on the culinary job, culinary department of college has to change from nonpopular department to popular department. From the view of these changes, this study analyzes the curriculum in culinary department of college which hotel and foodservice industry desire. curriculum in culinary department of college can be consist of various teaching objectives, teaching contents, and teaching styles. But curriculum must be consist of teaching objective, teaching content, and teaching style which hotel and foodservice industry desire. This study measured on the response of the hotel and foodservice industry on the curriculum in culinary department of A college. Based on the measuring, this study presented the suggestions on the curriculum as follows. First, to provide the information on the selection of new employee in the hotel and foodservice industry. Second, maintenance and inprovement of teaching objective, teaching content, and teaching style. Finally, on the basis of this study, the careful studies on the curriculum development in culinary department of college have to be followed in the future.

본 연구의 목적은 중 고등학교 기술 가정교과의 '인간발달과 가족'영역의 내용체계와 연계하여 부모교육을 실시하는 방안을 모색 해보는 것이다. 이를 위해 2015개정 기술 가정교과의 '인간발달과 가족'영역의 내용체계와 2016년 여성가족부에서 제시한 대학생을 위한 예비부모교육 표준강의안의 내용을 비교 분석하여 그 연계성과 위계성을 고찰해보았다. 연구결과 첫째, 2015개정 중학교 기술 가정교과 '인간발달과 가족'영역 내용체계는 대학교 예비부모교육 표준강의안 구성내용과 연계성을 갖는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 2015개정 고등학교 기술 가정교과 '인간발달과 가족'영역 내용체계는 대학교 예비부모교육 표준강의안 구성내용과 연계성을 갖는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 2015개정 중 고등학교 기술 가정교과 '인간발달과 가족'영역의 내용체계와 대학교 예비부모교육 표준강의안은 위계성을 갖는 것으로 나타났다. 연구결과를 토대로 부모교육을 중 고등학교 가정과 교육내용과 통합하여 실시하는 것이 효율적인 방안임을 논의하였다.

The purpose in this study is to identify beliefs about curriculum orientation of Korean secondary school home economics teachers for the development of home economics curriculum and the change of their curriculum orientation. The curriculum orientations explored were academic rationalism, technical, cognitive process, personal relevance, and social reconstruction. A mail questionnaire, Individual Curriculum Orientation Profile (ICOP), was used to survey randomly selected 525 home economics teachers. Home economics teachers agreed with the cognitive process as their predominant curriculum orientation. The second predominant type with which home economics teachers agreed most was personal relevance orientation. Home economics teachers’age, major, college type, and teaching years were significantly related to the academic rationalism curriculum orientation, and the college type for bachelor’s degree was significantly related to the technical curriculum orientation. Age and major in master’s degree were significantly related to the social reconstruction curriculum orientation.

Patient safety is achieved through systematic improvement based on the knowledge and willingness of medical professionals. A systematic longitudinal curriculum for patient safety is essential to prepare medical students and professionals. The purpose of this article is to introduce our experience with a 'workshop for developing a patient safety curriculum' and to compare the results with previous studies. The workshop comprising 15 medical professors and patient safety experts met for 2 days. The Consensus Workshop method was applied, collecting opinions from all of the members and reaching consensus through the following stages: context, brainstorm, cluster, name, and resolve. The patient safety curriculum was developed by this method, covering patient safety topics and issues, and teaching and assessment methods. A total of 7 topics were extracted, 'activities for patient safety, concepts of patient safety, leadership and teamwork, error disclosure, self-management, patient education, policies.' Issues, teaching methods, and assessment methods were developed for each topic. The patient safety curriculum developed from the workshop was similar to previous curricula developed by other institutions and medical schools. The Consensus Workshop method proved to be an effective approach to developing a patient safety curriculum.

전문계 고등학교 학생들의 상급학교 진학이 급격히 늘어나고 있으며 이에 따라 전문계 고등학교의 전문교과 교육이 동일계열 상급학교의 교육과 적절히 연계될 수 있도록 전문교과가 구성되어야 할 필요가 있다. 본 연구에서는 상업 정보계 고등학교의 정보 컴퓨터 계열 학과를 중심으로 현재 편성 운영되고 있는 컴퓨터 교과목들을 분석해서 문제점을 찾아보고, 이를 토대로 상업 정보계 고등학교의 바람직한 컴퓨터 교과들의 편성 운영 방안을 찾아보았다.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the academic achievements, satisfaction and educational demands of nursing students at a college of nursing. Methods: The study subjects consisted of 134 senior nursing students who completed their clinical practicums. The students were asked to complete the evaluation survey for the curriculum. The evaluation survey for the curriculum consisted of three parts: 1) academic achievements of educational objectives, care of subjects, and skills; 2) satisfaction with the curriculum, clinical practice environment, and educational environment; 3) demands on the curriculum and clinical practicum. Results: The mean scores on the achievement levels of educational objectives, care of subjects and skills of the students were $3.68{\pm}0.53$, $3.69{\pm}0.59$, and $3.77{\pm}0.56$, respectively. The low rated domains were 'understanding and delivering culturally competent nursing' and 'competence in fundamental nursing skills' in their levels of achievements. Overall, students were satisfied with the nursing curriculum and educational environment. However, their satisfaction scores for the hours and arrangements of the clinical practicum, and the ratios and arrangements of lectures and clinical practicum were relatively low. Conclusion: The findings of this study are important to redesign nursing curriculum in order to prepare graduates for rapidly changing health care environments. We need to try various strategies to improve the clinical competencies of students by designing a curriculum based on social change and student needs.

Background: To train dental hygienists to utilize knowledge in practice, an integrated curriculum based on the competencies of dental hygienists is expanding; however, in the field of basic dental hygiene the curriculum is still fragmented and based on segmented knowledge. This study developed an integrated curriculum based on the competencies of dental hygienists in Anatomy, Histology & Embryology, Physiology, which are subjects for basic dental hygiene that have high linkage and overlap. Methods: After selecting the learning objectives for the integrated curriculum from those of Anatomy, Histology & Embryology, Physiology, the duties of the dental hygienist in relation to the learning objectives were analyzed. Learning objectives were combined with the duties of a dental hygienist to derive competencies for an integrated curriculum. Referring to the syllabus and learning objectives for each subject, the weekly educational content, learning objectives, and credits of the integrated curriculum were derived. After conducting a Delphi survey to validate the competency and content of the derived integrated curriculum, an integrated curriculum was developed. Results: By using the first and second Delphi surveys, four competencies were developed for dental hygienists that can be achieved through an integrated basic dental hygiene curriculum. In addition, an integrated curriculum including the courses Anatomy, Histology & Embryology, Physiology, Structure and Function of the Human Body/Head/Neck, and Structure and Function of the Oral Cavity was established. Conclusion: This study presents a specific example for developing a competency-based integrated curriculum that can be used as a framework to derive a competency-based integrated curriculum among subjects that can be integrated according to the linkage of learning contents and the competencies that can be achieved.

본 연구는 현행 전문대학 문헌정보과 교과과정을 비교 분석하여서 시대의 변화에 따라 도서관 업무도 변하고 그와 관련된 문헌정보와 교과과정도 변하는 모습을 보도록 하여 전문대학 문헌정보과 교과 과정이 이론보다 실무연습에 강조되어야 할 필요성이 있음을 알게 하는 것이다. 이렇게 하기 위해서는 도서관 현장에서 요구되는 새로운 지식을 파악하기 위한 문헌조사와 국내 전문대학 문헌정보과의 교과과정을 비교·분석하여 공통교과목을 도출하며 새로운 모형교과과정표를 작성하는 것이다.
