The Removal Rates of the Constituents of Litters in the Littoral Grassland Ecosystems in the Lake Paldangho VI. Cu, Fe and Zn (팔당호 연안대 초지생태계에서 낙엽 구성성분의 유실률 VI. Cu, Fe 및 Zn)

  • The investigation was performed to reveal the removal rate of metal constituents of litters in a Phragmites communis Miseanthus sacchariflorus, Typha angastata and Seirpas tabernaemontani grasslands in the lake Paldangho. The removal rates of metal constituents are determined by the mathematical models. The removal rates and time required to decay up to a percentage of each metal constituent were calculated using these model. The removal rates of Cu, Fe and Zn were 0.61, 0.58 and 0.79 in Phragmites communis 0.39, 0.47 and 0.68 in Miseanthus saccharflorus; 0.26, 0.09 and 0.23 in Typha angustata: 0.56, 0.27 and 0.67 in Seirpus tabernaemontani respectively. The periods required to reach half time to the stedy state of the removal and accumulation for Cu, Fe and Zn were 1,13,1.19 and 0.79 years in Phragmites communis; 1.79, 1.49 and 1.02 years in Miscanthus sacchariflorus; 2.70, 7.43 and 2.96 years in Typha angustata ; 1.23, 2.58 and 1.04 years in Scirqus tabernaemontani, re-spectively.   • A study is drawn up its result's tables and graphs by measuring tools(outside micrometer cylinder gauge and dial caliper gauge) on the difference of diameter volumes from before-discharge and after-discharge under 52 Kind's experimental condition by cupper and graphite electrode of CNC EDM. The EDM is attached with A.V.R. and memory scope for keep up accuracy and the fixed table of work piece is used in order to eliminate the noise by the internal resistance of it and forcing to eradicate the discharge liquid. It is analyzed cutting conditions to compare its wave value and pulse time.(Ton Toff) through voltage and current for decreasing working error.

  • 커피원두의 품질평가는 커피가 생산되는 나라마다 규격이 다르고 매우 다양한 원두가 생산되고 있어 오랜 기간 동안 숙련을 거친 사람만이 할 수 있는 작업이다. 원두의 품질을 제대로 평가할 능력이 없을 경우 저가의 원두를 고가를 지불하고 구매하는 경우도 발생하며 일정한 품질의 원두를 구매할 수 없어 균일한 품질의 제품을 생산할 수 없게 되므로, 커피 제조업체에서는 원두 품질평가자가 매우 중요한 역할을 담당하게 된다. 커피가 재배되는 산지에서는 커퍼(Cupper)라고 불리는 품질평가자들이 엄청난 양의 품질을 평가하고 가격을 결정하는 일을 담당하고 있다.

Chemical Control of Rhizome Rot of Ginger by Seed-Rhizome and Soil Treetment (생강 근경부패병의 약제방제)

  • This experiment was carried out to define the development of control method against rhizome rot of ginger. It was difficult to control of rhizome rot of ginger completely by way of only rhizome sterlization. When soil were stenilized with dazomet, and metalacxyl granule was applied, higher than 95% of control value as well as 39% of yield increase compared to control were found. Soil drenching with metalacxyl cupper oxychloride and streptomycin controlled the rhizome rot satisfactorily, but was inferior to the above mentioned combination.

Neurotoxicant (fenitrothion) alters superoxide dismutase, catalase, and peroxidase activities in Chironomus riparius Mg. (Diptera, Chironomidae) larvae

  • Effects of exposure to a neurotoxicant, fenitrothion on antioxidant enzyme activities in Chironomus riparius Mg. (Diptera, Chironomidae) larvae were evaluated under laboratory conditions. Exposure to this chemical led to an increase of cupper, zinc type superoxide dismutase and manganese type superoxide dismutase activities and to a decrease of glutathion peroxidase activity. An activation of catalase was observed in the larvae exposed to high fenitrothion concentration. The response of superoxide dismutase was rapid and sensitive to low chemical concentrations, but changes in catalase, total peroxidase and glutathion peroxidase were less sensitive. In this study, antioxidant enzyme activities in Chironomus riparius larvae were identified as pertinent biomarkers for environmental monitoring.

  • This paper is concerned with the theoretical and experimental study on the force conrtrol of a miniature robotic gripper. The gripper is an uniform flexible cantilever equipped with a distributed set of compact force sensor. As an actuator piezoelectric acturator, piezoelectric acturator is fixed with cupper plate at which the beam is clamped. The mathematical model of the assembled electro-mechaincal system is developed. The force sensor is described by a set of concentrated mass-spring system. The formulated equations of motion are applied to he study of a control problem where the gripper is commanded to grip an object The usefulness of the PID control technique is verified by experiment.

  • This work was designed to illustrate physiological effects on the elimination of sulfur and its compounds in petroleum using sulfur-reducing bacteria. Deulfurizing bacteria were collected from sewage and soil at several areas in Soul and Ulsan, Korea. Seven supecies of sulfur-reducing microbes isolated were identified as : Pseudomonas marginata, Ps.effusa, Ps. putrefaciens, Ps.pseudcmcnelli, Ps. xanthochlora, Ps.bowlesiae, and Ps.aeruginosa. And some experiments were performed to define the growing characteristics of the Pseudomonads and the results obtained are as follows : 1) Shaking culture method was more effective for the growth of the cells than stagnant culture. 2) Beef peptone medium was better for the growth than other media. 3) Cuprous chloride of 50 ppm and cupper sulfate of 300 ppm treated, respectively, in the medium were effective for the growth. 4) Benzene of toluene of 5,000 ppm and petroleum ether of 50,000 ppm did not show remarkable inhibitory effects on the growth.

Development of a high precision CNC lathe for mirror surface machining (경면가공용 고정밀 CNC 선반 개발)

  • In this paper, the development of a precision CNC lathe prototype for mirror surface machining is presented. To obtain high precision machining accuracy, a hydrostatically supported precision spindle and a sliding guideway with turcite pad are adopted as the motion elements. The machining accuracy of the prototype machine, and the motional accuracy of its motion elements are tested and evaluated to confirm the validity of the application of these elements on the prototype. The hydrostatic spindle shows 0.09 .mu. m of rotational accuracy and the guideway shows about 0.8 .mu. m/170mm of horizontal straightness. The sur- face roughness of cupper and aluminium cylinder machined by the prototype machine with diamond tool are 0.07 .mu. m and 0.10 .mu. m Rmax respectively. From these results, it is verified that the prototype lathe is avail- able for high precision machining.
