Comparative Analysis of the Correlation Between Local Meteorological Elements and the Concentration of Airborne Fungi in the Beopjusa and Seonamsa Temples

  • This study involved a comparative analysis of the correlation between meteorological elements and the concentration of airborne fungi(CFU) in relation to biological damage to two temples on piedmonts, which is a cultural heritage building. The work compared Beopjusa temple in Boeun(Chungcheongbuk-do Province) and Seonamsa temple in Suncheon(Jeollanam-do Province). Twelve meteorological elements and the CFU were measured and the Pearson correlation analysis was used to determine the degree of the relationship between them. The results showed that Beopjusa temple had high wind speed, high total horizontal radiation, high evaporation, and large number of days with precipitation. Seonamsa temple had high air temperature, high relative humidity, high dew point temperature, high sea level pressure, high precipitation, and high CFU. The CFU at Beopjusa temple did not have a linear correlation with meteorological elements, but at Seonamsa temple it was highly positive correlated with the number of days with precipitation, relative humidity, and precipitation, and was highly negative correlated with total horizontal radiation. In addition, Beopju and Seonamsa temple had a common linear relationship between factors not affected by the topographical conditions, and had a individual linear correlation between factors affected by the topographical conditions.

Digital Application of Intangible Cultural Heritage from the Perspective of Cultural Ecology

  • This paper explored the digital application of intangible cultural heritage from the perspective of cultural ecology. Through field investigations, combined with cultural ecology theory, an ontology-based semantic web technology was proposed, and Nanjing "Yunjin" brocade weaving technique was selected as the research object. The specific steps were as follows: First, based on the field surveys and cultural ecology theory, the intangible cultural ecological environment was divided into natural and social environments. Next, constructing the intangible cultural heritage ontology was constructed, including the collection and collation of Nanjing Yunjin weaving technique knowledge corpus, based on user needs analysis and corpus analysis, CIDOC CRM was used to create rules to build the ontology. Finally, based on the MediaWiki platform and Semantic MediaWiki, the semantic web model of the intangible cultural heritage was designed, and its semantic retrieval function was realized, thereby achieving the practical application of intangible cultural heritage digitization. Based on the perspective of cultural ecology, a set of intangible digital application models was proposed, which expanded the digital application of the cultural ecology theory, verified the application of this model in the sustainable development of cultural tourism, and provided reference for the sustainable development of cultural tourism.

EPOCH 프로젝트를 바탕으로 한 국내 디지털 문화유산 발전방향의 제안 (Suggestions for improvement of domestic Digital Cultural Heritage from the analysis of EPOCH project)

  • 디지털 문화유산의 활용범위가 확대 되면서, 국내에서도 체계화된 디지털 문화유산 연구가 필요하게 되었다. 유럽에서 진행된 EPOCH 프로젝트는 디지털 문화유산 연구의 표준화 작업, 기술과 역사학 간의 학제간 연계 증진 방안 연구, 디지털 문화유산의 실질적인 활용방안 모색 등의 결과를 이루었다. 이를 경영 기술 문화 영역에서 분석함으로서 앞으로 진행될 디지털 문화유산 프로젝트의 방향을 발견할 수 있었다. 본 논문에서는 정책분야에서 디지털 문화유산의 독립적인 연구 분야 확립과 박물관의 민간 자본 투입을 제안하고, 연구 분야에서는 맞춤형 기술을, 그리고 경영학 측면에서의 연구 필요성 등을 제안한다.

중국과 한국 전통금사 금속의 과학적 분석 연구 (Scientific Analysis of Metal in Chinese and Korean Traditional Gold Thread)

  • The metal component of Chinese and Korean traditional gold thread was analyzed nondestructively using P-XRF and classified morphologically. In the nondestructive analysis of 22 Chinese and Korean artifacts, there were 10 gold threads made up of Au in China and 7 in Korea; in addition, there were 4 silver threads made up of Ag in Korea and 1 copper thread made up of Cu in China. In the morphological classification, 7 gilt paper strips were confirmed in China and Korea and 4 wrapped threads were identified in China and Korea. Zn, Sn and Fe (minor components of the threads) were detected. These components were assumed to be transferred from the metal found in burial goods.

An Analysis Study of Wall Painting Pigment Excavated at Iksan Jeseoksaji Dumpsite

  • The fragments of a wall painting excavated from among the historical remains of Jeseoksa Temple in Iksan. The extent of the damage to the fragments was examined and an analysis of the components of the pigment was conducted. The results of the component analysis of the pigment confirmed that the white pigment consisted of alkali feldspar and mullite. Although the results of the visual inspection revealed differences in color in the red and black pigments, the main component of the two colors was confirmed to be iron oxide. Red and black pigments are found at the same position. Although differences of color is obvious, those are identified as hematite and magnetite of oxidized steel's affiliation. It is judged that Differences of ingredients happened by external environment's factors.
