진즈패션의 상징성 연구 -해외 디자이너 브랜드를 중심으로- (A Study on the Symbolism of Jeans Fashion -Focusing on the Designer Brand-)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the types of jeans fashion in the basis of designer brand. and to analyze the symbolic characters of jeans fashion. Designer brand re-established jeans fashion by compounding high cultural factors and low cultural factors. broke up the boundary between street fashion and high fashion. and escaped from fixed idea on materials and design. This study divides the types of jeans fashion within the designer brand into classifications of Hippie style, Punk style, American Street style, Neo-classic style, and Grungy style. Today, reinterpreting the resistant image of jeans fashion, designers creates the various styles and also restores the upscale image of it. The symbolic characters of jeans fashion are summerized as sexuality, deconstructiveness, conspicuousness, humour, and multiculturalism. As the results of the symbolic characters of jeans fashion in the new Millennium era will suggest the wide aesthetic expression and continue to influence a more diverse jeans fashion trends.

문화적 접근 방법에 의한 20세기 프랑스 패션의 미적 특성 연구 (A Cultural Approach to the Aesthetic Characteristics of the 20th Century French Fashion)

  • Fashion is very superficial. However, it is expressed through the culture that is a cause of internal change and therefore its contents are defined by the cultural features. In this study, to study the aesthetic properties of the French fashion, the internal fashion contents are defined according to the cultural characteristics of France and based on the definition, the external features are investigated. The cultural characteristic was analyzed based on the reference literatures on the French culture. Based on the cultural characteristics of France, the aesthetical properties of the contemporary French fashion can be analyzed as follows: ${\cdot}$Dualism is the internal contents of the French culture with multiple sources, and it implies that opposing values such as female and male, traditionalism and modernism, simplicity and decoration are coexisting. Simplicity is pursued but decorative elements are in harmony and new phase of time is reflected while certain style has lasted for a long period of time to become a tradition. Furthermore, a rational trend combining masculinity and femininity, simultaneously exist with a trend that emphasizes feminine image. ${\cdot}$Multiculturism is a mysterious feature that has adapted the oriental or other cultural factors into the forms, patterns, colors and material of costumes. It has also been reconstructed with the French and the modern tastes. ${\cdot}$Avant-gardism is pursuing a novel aesthetic value against the former value system. It recognizes the human body as an object of figurative arts therefore emphasizes the body with geometric shapes to deny the fixed-idea, or engraft new materials and technologies to express the futuristic aspects.

부산시 중구 40계단 문화의 거리 조성계획 (The 40 Stairs Cultural-Street Design in Susan City)

  • In study, various notions regarding historic landscapes and rehabilitation were first investigated, and efficient rehabilitation schemes on modem historic landscapes were analyzed. On the basis of these theological analyses, an underlying scheme on the rehabilitation of modern historic landscapes was drawn up for '40 Stair Cultural Street' in Jung-gu, Busan City. Rehabilitating historic landscapes not only expresses a positive method to preserving sites and relics of heritage, but also an idea of preservation and rehabilitation based on interpretations from a historical perspective of value in this present day. Its significance is, therefore, to construct an ideal urban landscape in which the past, present and future can coexist. The rehabilitation of historic landscapes will become a psychological pillar to the people living in cities and will be able to lead the various types of urban activities as effective landmarks creating accessibility and representing perpetuity, as rehabilitated landscapes last through the passage of time. In addition, since historic and cultural landscape resources significantly represent regional identities and cultural characteristics that are protected and maintained, they may result in the succession of time and space in regional and urban historical culture and contribute to improving local images and impressions, allowing citizens and tourists to experience many diverse historic and cultural environments. The underlying scheme on the development of '40 Stair Cultural Street' in the study has been drawn up with a focus on the rehabilitation of modern historic value drawn out of the 40 stairs. The area around the 40 stairs, which was shaped as a stronghold of refugees who fled for safety during the Korean War, has changed as dramatically as people can no longer get a feel of the circumstances of that period. Local historians and residents, however, still share the joys and sorrows of refugee life as sad memories. Based on the historical fact, landscape planting, street furniture, outdoor color schemes & signage, traffic systems, symbolic 3-D models and pavement designs are underway.

지속가능한 발전과 역사환경의 관계 (The Relationship between Sustainable Development and Historic Environment)

  • 본연구는 한국에서도 이제 지속가능한 발전과 역사문화환경의 관계를 설정하려는 노력이 필요하다는 인식을 토대로 이와 관련되는 사례를 영국을 중심으로 분석하였다. 이러한 분석에 의하면, 지속가능한 발전을 위한 환경 사회 경제적 목표의 통합을 위해서는 지속가능성의 전체론적인 입장은 불가피한 것이다. 앞으로 한국에서도 이러한 전체론적 입장을 유산 또는 문화재 관리의 실제에 침투시키는 것이 중대한 도전이 되어야 할 것이다. 지속가능성은 단순히 물리적 자원에만 적용되는 원리가 아니라 역사환경의 보호에 통합적으로 접근하는 원리로 삼아야 한다. 역사환경의 관리는 우선적으로 지방의 생활을 반영하고 삶의 질을 향상시키며 지방의 정체성, 다양성, 생기를 배양하는데 목표를 두어야 한다. 그러면서도 동시에 재생이 불가능한 유산 자산을 최대한 보호하며 유산자산의 집단적 책무를 발전시키는데 목표를 두어야 한다. 그리고 끝으로 역사환경을 포함한 유산을 보전하는 목표를 지속가능한 발전이라는 목표와 통합시키는 정책의 견실한 골조를 구축해야 한다.

김교신의 전통사상 인식 - 유학 이해를 중심으로 - (Kim Gyoshin's recognition on Korean traditional thinking)

  • 본고의 목적은 "성서조선"에 실린 글과 일기를 통해 김교신이 한국의 전통사상을 어떻게 인식했고 어떻게 기독교 사상과 전통사상을 회통시키고자 하였는지 살펴보고자 한 것이다. 김교신은 한국의 전통사상에 대해 적극적인 관심을 표현하고 이들과 대화하며 기독교 신앙을 토착화하고자 하였다. 그는 불교가 준 민족문화유산에 대해 한없는 존경을 표했으며 한국 불교에 대해 연구하려는 자세를 가지고 있었다. 그가 가장 주목한 전통사상은 유학이었다. 그는 계신공구의 자세로 유학적인 생활태도를 평생 실천하였다. 그는 유학의 성(誠), 경(敬)의 신독(愼獨)을 평생 묵묵히 실천하였으나 근본적으로 인간에 내재해 있는 죄성을 자각하고 대속신앙을 받아들여 결국 기독교 신앙을 택하였다. 그는 개인적으로 공자를 숭상하여 자기의 모범으로 삼았으나 민족을 새롭게 하는 새 생명의 기운은 기독교에서 찾으려 하였다. 학문적으로는 공자를 존경했고 신앙적으로는 예수를 믿었다. 그는 유학이 갖고 있는 호학(好學)의 학문적 태도, 인의(仁義)를 중시하는 지사(志士)적 태도를 높이 평가하였고 이런 관점에서 기독교의 맹목적이고 반지성적인 신앙을 비판하였다. 인간 개개인이 고유의 인격적 가치를 가지고 있듯이 그는 각 민족 역시 고유의 민족성과 시대적 사명을 갖고 있는 것으로 보았다. 그는 세계사의 모순과 질곡이 깃든 한반도가 지리적 위치로 인해 세계의 불의를 정화시킬 동아시아의 중심지이며 그 사명을 한국이 가지고 있다고 보았다. 그는 불교, 유학이 이 땅에 들어오기 이전에 우리 민족은 고유의 착한 마음[인(仁)]을 가지고 있다고 보았다. 그러나 한국의 전통사상 중 무엇을 바탕으로 기독교 사상과 접목할것인가에 관한 문제의식은 부족하였다.

  • The purpose of this research is to identify user needs for community space design, especially shared space. and compare them according to social class. Since the shared space concept is new, it will be difficult for residents to familiarize themselves with the new idea. This study used a Small Croup Workshop Panel Method instead of the conventional survey method for this reason The subjects were 6 Panel groups of S people per each group. Bach of the panels included 3consecutive workshops. The results can be summarised as follows. All the residents wanted various kinds of shared spaces for everyday living and leisure activity While there were generally great similarity regardless of resident's sub characteristics, some founed distintively dissimilar. The residents of 20s pyung apartment wanted day-care center, multi Purpose room for meeting and family events, library, study room, sports facilities, and cultural center in order. The shared spaces that residents of 30s pyung apartment wanted were library. study room. common dining, sports facilities. and cultural center in order. The residents of 50s pyung apartment wanted library, study room. multi purpose room, common storage, sports facilities. and cultural center in order. These findings imply some diverse plans instead of uniform ones are to be deliberately considered, This results can be usefully applied to develop new collective housing for different social class residents.

남성화장품 광고의 의미 변화 분석 (An Analysis of Cultural Meaning on Advertisements for Man′s Cosmetics)

  • Under the social conditions that an understanding of a men change socially and men's interests in their appearances are on the increase, this research intends to study and analyze the changes of people's sensibility of values on ads for men's cosmetics, which is said to be performed the social, cultural function reflecting the social consciousness, the value and the idea creating a new one. The documents for the research was sindonga. The ad showed that they've changed making a difference according to the times. In 1970s, it expressed a man for cleanness and modernity living in urbanized and modernized society. On the other hand, it expressed a man who won success socially and enjoyed a comfortable life in a dignified manner, or a man who was fond of sports leisure activity pursuing a clam and composed life and was interested in the skin and an appearance in 1980s. From 1990 to 2002, it expressed a man of challengeable manly beauty having a strong will toward social achievement, or a man who has a sweet manly beauty with sex appeal to a woman. Besides, it expressed a man who is soft, faithful and affectionate with a liberal and peaceful atmosphere as well.

  • The idea that a school could take a role of educating each community personnel as well as students and the school building could be a center in a community is discussed in this paper. Also, as rental housings being included in the community and placed near school buildings, school facilities can be shared and cover the shortage of social welfare facilities. Thus urban social facilities including schools, social and cultural facilities, and rental housings should be planned as a bundled scheme. The objective of this Paper is to find the suitability of building a complex of school, gymnasium, cultural facilities, welfare facilities in school sites, and building rental housing in public building sites, such as cultural facilities and welfare facilities, gymnasium sites in the City of Pyeong Teak. It is found that this assumption can be proved when building a public school of 6 to 7 story or a rental apartment with a floor area ratio of 150% - 200%.

  • This study focuses on the understanding of social workers' needs for cultural competence and understanding its meaning. And furthermore, this study describes Korean cultural competence and how it is viewed in Korean reality where social workers are. Therefore, this study suggests this research idea based on previous researches data and discussed issues. Particularly considering the unique nature of Korean social welfare site involving multicultural, the role of advocacy is considered essential to Korea. Also, it is necessary and unavoidable part of the perspective of a social justice. Currently, with increasing international marriage, Korean society is rapidly moving toward a multicultural society. This means that we need to promote the ongoing multicultural understanding education to improve and enhance multicultural education system. But, the real effect of the multicultural understanding education in reality of the situation represent just other culture introduction, thus, most of the ongoing multicultural understanding education systems are insufficient to improve the multicultural competence. Korea still has a long way to go before becoming a full-fledged multicultural society. A multicultural society can bring diversity and rich life. Therefore, social workers with deep Korean multicultural competence should be increased in Korean changing multicultural society.

한·중 양국 동물의 상징적 의미의 비교연구 (A comparative study: symbolic meaning of animals between Korea and China)

  • In their everyday life, people form social phenomena and relations through the shapes and habits of animals. Therefore, animals contain the idea of the way of life of certain nations, spiritual and cultural feelings, and the symbolic meaning which can be recognized between the members of the unique nation. The symbolism of animals varies depending on different nations, because the adages are the essence of the language including their culture, thought, custom, and life. Examining their own adages can be one of the ways to find out what the animals symbolize in different nations. Another reason is that they are the dictionaries, reflecting their own way of thinking and traditional values, so to speak. The research shows that, between Korean and Chinese adages, it is in a similar frequency, using materials such as mammals, birds, fishes, reptiles, and insects. The adages are focused on the 12 animals which is familiar to both nations, a rat, an ox, a tiger, a rabbit, a dragon, a snake, a horse, a lamb, a monkey, a rooster, a dog and a boar. We compared the symbolism, the surface meanings in adages, and the figurative meanings of these animals in Korea and China. As a result, it is found that some are almost the same in usage. However, some are totally different such as expressions related to the animals, the cultural differences and clear understanding. It is necessary to do comparative researches in a detailed and various way by studying the issues derived from verbalism.
