The purpose of this study is to analyze local cultural festivals hosted contact-free in the corona era and to suggest the direction for sustainable festivals in the post-corona era. To this end, by analyzing the cases of well-known festivals held contact-free in 2020 and 2021, we tried to get implications for the festivals in the post-corona era from there. As a result of this study, contact-free festivals had the following characteristics. First, the on-tact method, which produces and transmits a video or allows interaction through real-time participation, was prominent. Second, in order to compensate for the shortcomings of the contact-free method, various efforts have been made to enable on-tact experience by making and delivering experience kits in the case of experiential elements of the festival in advance. Third, communication was secured through real-time comments, and fourth, products were sold through the Internet and live commerce channels, and a certain effect was obtained. In particular, in the case of online festivals, there is a problem of loss of the sense of place of the festival, but there are cases of online festivals with more participation than offline festivals. It is judged that the problem of how to achieve this will become a reference material for the future development of contact-free festival contents.

Traditional costumes have evolved while reflecting the social, cultural and psychological values of the era. Costumes gain meaning by being worn that also allows their various symbolic meanings to be derived. Costumes worn in festivals by specific societies and organizations have especially apparent symbolism pertaining to their purpose. Most countries have traditional festivals that embody the country's distinct culture, history and traditions. These festivals are acts of consciousness expressing a special meaning of the community. Costumes represent a glimpse of life and culture during a festival period; in addition, the costume's style, color elements and decorations are expressions of community values and a distinct symbolic mechanism. Totemism (a significant element of these festivals) has been passed down for many generations. The current costumes for Totemism are distinct (compared to normal festival costumes) and embody a more symbolic meaning. This study deduces the exaggerated style, the concealment and disguise of the human body, and the pursuit of pleasure expressed in the Totemism costumes of regional European festivals. The symbolization theories of C. G. Jung and an analysis of Totemism costumes allow an understanding of their existential significance, their role as the medium between consciousness and unconsciousness, their meaning of symbolic transcendental unity, and their meaning of giving consciousness to the mind.

Pusan and Jeonju have their own movie infrastructure and each festivals has a distinction as to property and purpose. But, for the festivals to be successful continuously, more regionally suitable and unique events are needed. In case of PIFF, it is required that the promoter should highlight regional characteristics of Pusan, by dint of implementation of programs, centered on people's active participation in the festival; regarding JIFF, for Jeonju to be a mecca of media industry, long-term plans and policies are to be made. The plans for revitalization of International film festival, as local cultural festival, are as follows; good use of local place as movie location, development of relevant contents, formation of regional networking, and cultivation of local human resource.

The survey was conducted with 431 visitors who participated in the S city Eupseong Festival program. Descriptive statistics, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, and moderating effect analysis were performed for the analysis of the questionnaire data. As a result of the study, first, storytelling and regional cultural unity showed the highest positive correlation, and there were positive correlations between local cultural unity and brand assets, and between storytelling and brand assets. Second, as a result of the moderating effect analysis, regional cultural unity moderated the link between storytelling and brand assets. In other words, when storytelling increases, brand assets increase, but when regional cultural unity is high, it increases more steeply than when regional cultural unity is low. This study presented a new model to improve the brand assets of local festivals.

When the Information age led by media comes, The literature yielded its prominence to visual media, and the Korean literature also faced a crisis, prompted by decreased demand for it. In this reality, literature festivals which have increased rapidly since 1995 and currently number at least 110, when the local government system was launched, played an important role in promoting literature to the society. This thesis has selected Manhae Festival, one of the most vibrant and successful, as the case study to analyze its present status and accomplishments to derive ways for improvement which can be used to promote policies on literature. Manhae Festival which celebrates Manhae Han Yongun, a poet and an independence activist, also became one of the top literature festivals through Manhae Grand Awards and various cultural, art and academic events, despite being held in Inje County, Gangwon Province, a remote location. Based on this study, in the near future, Manhae Village, as a complex cultural venue, as a If we can make the place into complex cultural space and with additional policy support by gaining political supports like designation as Slowcity and special zone of culture and tourism, and pursuing glocalization by making Manhae into a star brand, Manhae Festival will cement its current position as a successful literary festival. It has very meaningful since most of literature festivals operate in small scale. Now, we need to develop literature festivals into local ones by attracting larger popularity. Meanwhile, a more comprehensive study, in the future, is needed with special emphasis on successful literary policies and their precedents in other countries.
This study is to analyze the current state, trend, and preference of the three chrysanthemum festivals representing South Korea that are hosted by local governments, and it is to be used as the basic data for preparing effective plans for the chrysanthemum festivals. The study was conducted from April 20, 2013 to November 25, 2017, and literature review, online search, interviews with persons in charge, field survey, and questionnaire survey were performed. The landmarks of the city, cultural assets, or great figures were selected to the main theme of the major chrysanthemum sculptures. The sculptures were decorated realistically for users to easily recognize the image. The main chrysanthemum sculptures tended to be introduced repeatedly. As results of the current state of visit and preference, it was found that the number of visitors has increased every year, along with revisits. The satisfaction and the preference for the festival were evaluated positively, and the chrysanthemum festival has become a local festival representing autumn, and a resource for vitalization of the regional economy. However, as a result of the survey, insufficient parking space and resting place, change of image of the sculptures, experience programs, and food shall be improved in order to increase the users satisfaction.
The purpose of this study was to determine the impact in visitors' spending on two separate local festivals, and to present the improved market strategies to attract visitors to revisit the local festivals. This study was also intended to suggest the ways to increase the competitiveness and revitalize the local festivals by improving the existing attractions and creating new attractions based on the visitors' evaluation. On the purpose of the study, we studied the visitors of two local ricefests, Icheon Rice Cultural Festival and Rice Festival in Jincheon Chungbuk, and estimated the determinants influencing the visitors' spending to the festivals by applying Tobit model. Finally, to estimate the behavioral differences in visitors of the two festivals, we compared the estimated determinants for the visitors of each festival by using Log-likelihood Ratio, and analyzed the differences in the factors influencing the visitors' spending. Summarizing the propensity of visitor's spending to local festivals, visitors of two rice festivals buy or tended to buy things on impulse. Therefore, festival industry needs to take measures to efficiently accommodate their expenditures from the stage of designing festivals.

Festival costume shown in festival parades targeting historical events or figures helps to understand the theme of festival and grants visual effects and at the same time, is an important factor to identify then-cultural environment. Accordingly, this study aims to make a periodic review of traditional costumes used in parades for Hanseong Baekje Cultural Festival and Yeongam Wangin Cultural Festival which are both the festivals that backgrounded Baekje period, make a comparative analysis of the archetypes of reproduction costume vs Baekje costume, understand the problems of festival costume, and seek developmental directions. After making a comparative analysis of reproduction costume shown in festival parades, it was found that king costume, queen costume, governmental official costume, and humble class costume were all different from Baekje costume in terms of configuration, materials, color, shape, and creating method of costumes, and problems were drawn. When it comes to costume items, Pasul and Danryungpoh that didn't belong to Baekje period were worn. The problems in color research can be identified in governmental official costume. The problems in type of costume are shown in the length of po worn outside, margin of width, and degree of restoring accessories. Therefore, it seems to be necessary to convey and identify costume creating method by festival parade-related persons.
